Running 2.3.4 KIES is updating my sgs2 now

I wonder what this update is for or if its 2.3.5?

Which GS2 do you have?

I would assume it would be the U.K version since Clove and all allowed shipping first from the U.K.
Most of them in circulation are the U.K SGS II's. Even in India, a week before the SGS II was officially launched, the U.K version was being passed around.

I have a UK phone and it says I have the most current firmware KE7, 2.3.3 How is it that you are getting an update and I'm not? Also, if you're on 2.3.4 means you have a custom ROM how is Kies updating your phone anyway??

Just because your not getting does not mean there is not an offical update.
I to Have this update had KE7 F/W handset from Holland with out sim lock once I update my Kies it gave me a new update.

I upgraded my sgs2 to 2.3.4 yesterday trough Kies but the update does not video support for google talk, shame

it is it with the new bootloaders? if yes
is there a KI2 version without the new bootloaders so we can still use our Usb jib to put the counter on 0 ?

Guys, how did you get the Kies update? Mine gets stuck when it gets to the USB drivers' cab file download. Tried it several times. Then uninstalled it, downloaded the whole thing from Samsung, installed it, and same thing happens again.
Any suggestions?

I'm not getting the update and might just jump in to a custom rom. Any one suggest one?

Got Kies to update. Not sure if that was the reason, but this time I ran the update while having the phone connected to the PC via USB cable while updating Kies.
Now it's version 2.0.3.11082_152.
HOWEVER, no updating to 2.3.4. It says I have the latest FW version:
PDA:KH1 / Phone:KH1 CSC:KH1 (IDE)
And that is 2.3.3

I received another update today, has updated my build number to:
Acer_A500_7.006.03_COM_GEN1
I already received the 3.2 update a while ago so not sure what this was. Download was over 300MB like the other large updates.

Is there any official list of changes from 3.2 to 3.2.1 ?

Good question......will Netflix work with 3.2 or will WE have to move the libnvoxm.so (for netflix) in the "lib" directory?
Since I am rooted, I believe I read that this 3.2 update can't be rooted until a fix comes out to do so. Is that correct?
Can anyone tell me what's in 3.2 and is it worth the update.

Look in ezterrys rom thread in the dev section.he fixed the Netflix app.there is a d/load liink in a post
His rom rocks as well

You can check the version in Settings>About tablet

My daughter got the update yesterday. Says 3.2

This is the version Im on as well I did have 3.2.1 but I downgraded to try a couple of different roms. Im back on stock and the 3.2.1 update is not coming down is there more updates between this version and 3.2.1?

You just got the long overdue LJ3 update. Other countries received it some weeks ago. Nothing new.

I had to manually push the update but got it none the less Ireland unbranded no root

if it's ALJ3, then that has been out for a while now, nothing new. It might just have been pushed to your phone just now.

How does the Note 2 check for updates? I have unticked the option in the Android 'About Device' settings to automatically check for updates but i still received the alert today stating that an update is available. Is there another process running on Samsung handsets that checks with Samsung?

ANYONE KNOWS I CAN DOWNLOAD THIS OTA ZIP?

As we know we had many N8000 4.1.1 firmwares under XXBLK2. Today i see new XXBLK4 firmware in Sammobile, but not 4.1.1, but 4.0.4...

Just installed New Zealand version for testing & it is 4.1.1 not as mentioned @ samfirmware 4.0.4, so this is clearly a typing mistake & all others Tunisia, Open Austia, etc.... should be 4.1.1.

Yes there seems to soom goof up at sammobile as no sense in samsung pushing ics roms when already have a working JB rom

I have it installed since yesterday and it runs nice. I run the New Zeeland version and it has some carrier apps in it. There is one other LK4 firmware and thats Open Austria, the Tunisia is an ICS firmware ( LI4 ) so dont download that. Havent found anything new yet in the firmware.

Bloody newzeland, why do small countries always get update first? My girlfriend told me size matters, that's why my stuff are always huge. But Sammy doesn't appreciate them at all.

Yeah, running fine with me, with download Open Austria tonight to test it

can anyone who has a fast internet connection help me by uploading the Australian and NZ roms on my file server.

after installing this latest firmware if you install any previous firmware you won't get network, i myself have experienced this.

You cant roll back unless you keep an mg* baseband - which Involves flashing one

This confirms that the BTU ROM is not the only ROM which changes the EFS partition format. All roms released after 16 July 2013 changes the EFS partition format which can be read by new modems only.

There is a way. That is if you backed up your efs prior to installing these MG* based roms.
