Ok, I really love my SGS2, but this is low.
I went into a little quest for iPhone 3GS, when it first released and I was traveling in Italy. That day was much worse than waiting in a line for a couple of hours, believe me.
It's not that I'm an idiot, I know a phone does not normally worth all that trouble. But, you know, I was not finding a cure to cancer otherwise, and I knew it would take some time to be released in my home country. So I wasted a complete day. Big whoop.
I waited in lines for concerts, football matches, under rain, freezing cold and stuff, all of them were real fun, cause you always make friends and you naturally have something common with those people around you. It gets real fun.
So why not do that for a f*king cell phone? Just hate these stereotypes.

It's low?? Someone needs a sense of perspective.
It's your inference that it's an Apple queue - doesn't say that anywhere - and all advertising is about stereotypes, not least of all Apple's own stuff.
Seems like perfectly legitimate advertising to me, especially for a company that is being harassed through the courts by arch-plagiarists Apple for designing something that is better than Apple's stuff but looks a little bit like it. Now that's low...

"3 reasons why Google Android will fail" -- Article from Nov of 2007

http://www.thoughtgadgets.com/2007/11/game-over-3-reasons-why-google-android.html
Ok, so this is of course old news, I just stumbled over the article by accident a few minutes ago and thought I'd share because of the hilarity of it all. It was a pretty laughable article in 2007, but even more so now when Android is in full swing and is getting better by the month and more and more manufacturers joins the OHA.
Hindsight 20/20 and all that, but most of us hardcore Androiders knew Android would not fail, despite what a few self-proclaimed experts said on their blogs. We knew it even as far back as 2007/2008. Ben Kunz obviously didn't, though.
Lol just read this Ben Kunz what a MOD EDIT
think of your choice of wording when you post.
thank you
I remember reading this a long time ago. I laughed then, but it is even funnier now. The comments are almost equally funny.

It's heartening news, but you gotta consider that percentage growth is one of those marketing spin numbers. A platform that is selling 1M units in 2008 experiencing a 900% growth sells an additional 9M. A platform selling 10M units in 2008 only has to grow 90% to experience the same increase in sales growth.
Well, to be honest, if the G1 looked like that prototype picture...I wouldn't have bought it. That is one seriously ugly looking phone with a tiny ass screen.

True, but as a self-proclaimed expert on all things tech he should of course have known Android is not about hardware (let alone about prototype hardware). Android is about software.
I knew that as soon as I first heard and read about Android back in 2007, I bet you knew that, and I also bet most people on this forum knew that -- we knew the possibilities was and is almost endless. Ben Kunz, however, did not. And he wrote a downright stupid article about it, showing off his ignorance.
It did bring us lots of amusement though, so kudos to Ben for making a fool out of himself
Think about google as a company. Starting with a school project and growing to what is now. Everything google owns is destined to succeed. They have a huge master plan and everything they do/own is tied into each other in one way or another.

I've got one of the prototype phones for testing... while its no G1, the keyboard is a lot nicer to use. For folks who just want a simple lightweight texting phone, I can see it being pretty attractive.

I hear what you are saying, but lets...for arguments sake...equate a cell phone to a woman (no offense to women...but its the best modern day analogy I can make at the moment).
Okay, men (in this case the generic term "men" means "customers") look for a woman, they want it all...sexy, intelligent, and able to do a lot of things (interpret that as you see fit).
A G1 fits most of that. A G1, while not the sexiest in the world, is decent enough looking...but what she lacks in looks she makes up for by being highly intelligent and capable of performing a variety of tasks you may hope she can do...as a woman.
The Android prototype in the picture may be able to do a lot of tasks, but she can't do everything...and, while intelligent, she is seriously to fat (wide), to short (squat and square) and way too fricken ugly to really be considered anything more than a friend (like when you look at your buddies cell phone that was a free give-away for signing a contract).
Now, to really get the whole package, Android phones need to take a page from Apple's book and make something super sexy like an iPhone with all the other Android and tech components in the G1...only with longer battery life.

Honestly, I'm not too attracted to the iphone. It's plane, too skinny to be comfy, has one button, not my type. Maybe if she was the last girl in the bar at the end of the night i'd take her home, but i'd leave before she woke up and deny it to my friends..
The exact reason why Android based phones are going to blow away Apple and Blackberry.

I got my HD2 wednesday because we had a snow day
The next day at school EVERYBODY would be like "woah that's a huge fake iPhone"
that resulted in me getting it taken away by the teacher for the rest of class

hahaha yeah I get asked if it's an iPhone constantly.
In my biology class this kid I didn't like asked me why I got my phone for $200 instead of an iPhone.
I told him "because I'm not a little puss like you!"
then possibly the only other android aware person in my school said "f*** you apple lover! f*** you!"
it was a great day.
although, I like people not saying "that's a brick!" every time I pull out my phone. The g1 was far too thick.
Buddy of mine saw it and started to make fun of it talking about how much better the hardware on his iphone 3gs was. The moment I finished quoting the specs...he gave me this look like his dog had died and then asked where he could get one. Told him it was on T-mobile only and showed how much faster the hspa in my area was...and he got pissed...

hahaha. yeah I just show them how thin it is, how it's rubber and metal, how gorgeous and giant the screen is and the ui.
However, one person said "that's pretty stupid, why would you want the clouds on your screen"
People seem to be impressed with the screen size - it's a monster. Never been mistaken for an iPhone, and when someone asks about the iPhone, I say, "iPhones are toys for children who needs Steve Jobs to tell them what to do. This is a phone for those who don't wish to listen to the Charlatan of Cupertino."

A few of my friends have iphones. After they have seen my HD2, the major consensus was that it was "too much of a phone" for them. Damn straight!!
Most people just ask/say to me "is that an iPhone" or just say "you got an iPhone too"
when I brought my HD2 to Cleveland Ohio in February, everyone on campus was like "ooooh shiny" then when i showed them Swype for text input they were all like "oooooooooooh waaaoooww! where can i get one?"
I said, tut tut, not until late March

People in class are still wasting their money on the useless old iphone, and where I live it's $538 for an iPhone 3gs 16gb with a data plan and the HD2 cost only 50-100 more. Wanna smack em and tell them theyve wasted their money
After the "Oh, cool, another iPhone"
i reply "no, no its not" as my expression hardens
I finish off my text under the desk and start surfing the internet in class, pissing off all the iPhone users sitting next to me with its speed with its speed
all 20 of em!
only one person has ever asked my "why didnt you get an Iphone"
To which i simply said "Why didn't you get aids? Same thing really".
To be fair, I was in a funny mood.
90% of people I've talked to are impressed, but know little about HTC.
Almost all of them said they like it better than Iphone..
I read the whole thread and I must say some of the posted answers are really funny!
Unfortunately, on the "serious" side of things, this poll makes you wonder..
Even though I deeply hate the iphone, I gotta give apple kudos for engineering something that has become THE standard in the cell phone market.
They managed to create something that has become so popular that everybody knows it, children and elderlies included.
Tech sites and experts use it as reference when comparing it to every new phone unleashed, even if, let's be honest about it, the iphone isn't really that much of a cell..
What's even more depressing is the fact that whenever someone takes a peek at the HD2, he/she immediately assumes that it must be the iphone or worse, like a rip-off of it, not even knowing that the hd2 kicks the iphone's ass from sea to shining sea...
Aaah Apple, congratz!! You have created a share of market that really revolves around you..

Is Kevin Rose this out of touch ?

Flash wars...first 5-10 minutes or so.
Just want to say love Diggnation and Im a big fan of Kevin Rose.
Been watching him since TechTV days and ((back then more than now)) he really seems to know his stuff. Somewhere along the way he reaaaallly became a hardcore Apple fanboy. Which is fine , he admits it. But his breakdown of why he didnt like Android/Incredible was just mind boggling.
My initial reaction was WTF ? Pretty much the complete opposite reaction Leo Laporte had with his Nexus One.
((I bring Leo up because they came up together and have and still do work together)).
When Leos gone into his dislikes of Android..I get it. Hes right.
But Roses were just mind boggling.
Things like cant do anything ? Lack of Apps ? complaining about mult-tasking , task manager , battery drain , interface etc.
Than him bashing Flash ((which thankfully adam shutdown with his "it works fine on PC")) was just kinda clueless to me.
Your thoughts ?
http://www.reddit.com
ya it angered me..like the scrolling the cursor through the text part where he kept tapping the phone like an idiot..the incredible has an optical trackpad to easily scroll through the words
holy **** he sounds like an idiot... cant figure out how to turn stuff off on android? look what apple has done to people! geez these guys are thick...
Kevin Rose is a known idiot. I thought everyone knows that.
wow i've never seen this podcast, but that was just painful to watch, i mean stupidity goes a long way with this guy, listening to his retarded rant, hopefully he returns the incredible, and gets another iphone, maybe some other user will give a good use for the incredible :]
I used to like him. God what a dumbass Apple sheep. Apple is the dumbing of America!

Wait, wait. People here are surprised that two douchnozzles on a couch in San Francisco might have spicy hot boners for Apple?
Oh, man. Stop the presses.
Watching this video excrement both confused and enraged me to the point of wanting to take the skinny one and use him as a blunt object with which to beat the fat "I'm so web 2.0 I don't even comb my hair" one to death.
This video is the epitome of everything that is wrong with the direction the internet, and our world, is headed.
Two douchballoons sitting on a couch, gasbagging about what they like and don't like about the accomplishments of others. Man I'm glad I wasted 5 minutes of my life on that. Now I can remember to never, ever visit Digg again in retribution.
Funny that he runs practically exclusively on Apple considering Macs lack a lot of things a PC will do for you.
At least he likes the camera lol
I stopped watching/listening to Kevin shortly after he went to Rev3. When Patrick Leo and Kevin ran Screensavers it was fun and informative to watch.. RIP Screensavers. But now Even Tekzilla is more about bringing in the cash and showing high end devices and not enough geek gadgets and stuff. I could hang with Patrick on DL.TV but when he left there and joined the Rev3 gang he lost it. Every so often I'll tune into Rev3 and checkout a few vids, but for the most part I really don't enjoy it anymore, especially Kevin.
that was indeed tough to watch. I wanted to scream at him throughout the conversation.
The one thing I agreed with was the way you select a spot in a paragraph and copy and paste, its definitely stupid.
It was really tough to watch someone with generally legitimate credentials (i never heard of him but i did some googling and whether we like it or not there a lot of people who dig the guy) to describe and complain about something he doesnt fully understand, for example:
He was complaining about, "I shouldnt need a task manager because there shouldnt be **** running in the background that i dont want running in the background". It sounds like a logical argument but isnt it true that those apps arent actually running, theyre just taking up some ram to get back to them quickly? Or are they really using battery? Because that too would be stupid.
Well he's an Apple fanboy what do you expect?
People defend stuff they own/like. It's as simple as that.
You go to an iPhone forum and they would be agreeing with him while here they get bashed on because it's the Nexus One forum =) It's not like anybody is wrong, it's just down to personal preferences. This stuff happens all the time, you start making a thread about which car is better, bmw or audi, and the argument goes on and on. Both are great cars, and the iphone os and android are great smartphone os.
Kevin Rose is a brain dead out of touch moron who has no business hosting a show about technology.
i want my time back from watching that crap...

This thread is for all those whinging about the delay in froyo and selling their SGS

For those of you moaning and throwing you toys out their prams with regard to the delay in Samsung releasing Froyo and threatening to sell your SGS, I have some good news for you.
Rather than post you rants in other threads that are useful, use this one to act like children.
Those of us who like the SGS don't care about you in the slightest.
There are far more people here giving the phone their support that you the minority.
The only thing I ask is that when you buy your next Android phone, can you please let us know that you are selling it because you are once again throwing your toys out of the pram?
Believe me, I an many others will not be in the slightest bit surprised, however, you could buy and Iphone or better still, give up on the idea of smartphone for now and pray that the likes of Nokia can pull something out of the bag.
This forum would be a hell of a lot cleaner if people could engage their mental ignore more often (and yes, I realise posting just to say this is hypocritical in the extreme). Instead of creating a thread especially for people "to act like children" (which is childish in itself, IMO), why not just ignore them? They'll get the message eventually if people stop responding...
That would NORMALLY work Voleo. But...
Firstly, the Mods aren't closing those threads.. They should because they are dupes anyway, and angry rants aren't relevent to XDA. We now have many copies of the same thread..
Secondly, people who are leaving often feel the need to "threaten" Samsung and whine in every thread for a few weeks about the same problems. Then slowly, some of them seem to switch to blatant lying/deception to spark a mutiny (ie. "the GPS/lag IS a HARDWARE problem" which can't be fixed). Finally then, they sell their phone, post in a few existing threads that they got fed up and sold their phone. Some also start their own thread. Those who are considering doing the same give them a pat on the back and given words of advice off the other trolls considering leaving, for eg "it's healthy to rant". Which continues the chain going. Since they have issues (with the phone and otherwise), they want to make Samsung suffer.
The big problem however, is that doing so, their BS/exaggerations accumulates and if nobody responds, we have a forum filled with rubbish like "33% of the time my phone is laggy". So, in part, we need to tell them to prove their claims, or STFU, because otherwise, they enforce each other, reduce morale here, and cause other people to exaggerate minor problems in their mind, and on the forum.
Oh here we go, yet another thread to ***** around Thought we had enough of them?
If you are not happy with your "product" sell it move on and enjoy the life. Simple. As you definitely wont be loosing money on SGS.
Have always worked for me.
Cheers
Vlad
Now is a good time for Luecke's laws...
Luecke's first law
Those who are dissatisfied will always strive to exaggerate minor device problems in technical forums.
Luecke's second law
When making technical comparisons between devices in arguments, dissatisfied users will compare to devices based on company reputation alone, and will totally ignore fixed problems with that device.

As I said once again, not everyone can just "sell on", and I disagree you "definitely wont lose money"... how not?
The 8Gb SGS was £450 on launch here, if I were to sell now I probably wouldn't even get £300 for it - that's depreciation whichever way you wrap it up - unless of course you bought it second hand to begin with.
I agree in some ways that there are some childish rants in here. I have myself been criticial of the SGS, but my "rants" were detailed and constructive. In some ways, some of the replies I got which were defending the SGS were actually more childish than my constructive criticism, so its not the one sided affair that threads like this portray.
Incidentally, I get the impression that some people simply don't like hearing any criticism of their beloved phone. This is "fanboy" behaviour. Most level headed people would admit that the phone has some relatively major problems, and to say otherwise is burying your head in the sand. I've said it before, it comes down to how heavily you use the phone, and what your past experiences / expectations are.
I'll be honest, I've come close at times to selling the SGS. By xmas there will be a number of phones I would swap with quite happily for one reason or another, but its the phone I've got, and the idea of losing a load of money selling it does not sit easy with me no matter how many faults it might have.
To be fair, thanks to this forum I've actually managed to tweak the phone and get it to a standard which is pretty much more than acceptable, but it has taken me lots of time, and it has taken developers on here lots of time to produce fixes for some of the problems. If it time is money, then the SGS has been by far the most expensive mobile phone I've yet owned!
Wow, the OP is pure hypocrisy.
But I've seen one thing. Most of us hate apple fan boys, but it looks like xda is full of SGS fan boys too.
The point is, the SGS does have problems because of buggy software. No one knows when official fixes are coming out. So for some people, its better to sell, make Samsung look like idiots, and walk. Samsung do deserve to look like fools. Their QA dept. is just royally screwed. Its just sad how great HW is killed by crap SW.
If people wanna rant, then let them. Most of the time the rants are true, but maybe quantitatively exaggerated, example 50% of the time lagging. It nevertheless brings to light real problems of the SGS's SW.
Many people do rant over and over again in every tread. It kind of boring to read same thing over and over again from same people. If they stayed in this tread it would be 30-40% less post in every tread and it would be nice and more correct.

While I've been using Linux as my main OS since 1997, not all my friends have. I've fixed the lag issue. I wouldn't trust my friends to realize the root cause of the lag problem and then find a fix. They would think the product is bad. And it is. What the hell kind of product has to be jailbroken to correct bad engineering? I'm not talking of too-restrictive-engineering (like App Store), but straight-out bad engineering. After a few days of use and few tens of applications (which is well within normal and encouraged use of a flagship product, non?), lagging becomes terrible. Applying a lag fix results in a roughly ten-fold increase in effective IOPS.
Anyhow, I cannot fix the GPS issue. It has to be done in firmware. I got this phone in JU-FREAKIN'-LY and Samsung STILL haven't fixed this issue. And I ain't complaining about lack of Froyo.
I'M COMPLAINING ABOUT A LACK OF BASIC BUGFIXES!
Oh, and that the slow, overengineered, proprietary Kies application crashes whenever I try to install whatever firmware update they just posted. They were three months late in posting fixes. And now their update procedure doesn't work. Adding insult to injury is not a good idea. What the hell kinda management will let such products out the door - both the 2.1 firmware for the SGS and the now-broken Kies?
Sorry I had to yell at you. I hope you misunderstood because you've listened to too much awesome rock'n'roll music and that has fried your ears.
My phone got faster after lagfix on 2.1 and 2.2, but i never had any big lag that the wieners here have.
I also have an iphone and can compare them. Iphone do lag sometimes to. Sometimes it just freezing. Sometimes it crash. I can say the sgs is better on everything.
The gps is much better.
Better screen.

For me, who had a htc diamond and then an iphone 3g... GPS is amazing in the SGS lol
Fanboyism is never good.
Samsung shouldnt have made promise
that they can't keep. Thats not professional.
However, apple fanboys are the worst.
Steve Jobs has become like a religion.
I have used the SGS for 2 months and I am on stock firmware with voodoo lagfix. I don't know why people are complaining about buggy firmware. The firmware is NOT buggy. I never have crashes or major issues with core software components. The only issue is the lag but this can be fixed (i am using voodoo and this fix has eliminates most lag).
As for GPS, I did not encountered any issues with it with most navigation software. Some times accuracy may not be perfectly accurate but is still within tolerance.
Froyo may bring more goodies, but even as it is now, the Galaxy is near perfect. I think this phone will still come out on top in any pro-con list with other phones.
whats is the big deal.. every phone has bugs.. I had an I phone3g and once it was loaded with apps it would hang up from time to time and lag.. the same with the blackberry bold 2nd gen that I had it would lag all over once it had alot of apps... HTC's phones are the same way.. This is what can happens once the OS's on smart phones becomes complex.. its not just the Samsung S..
I'm running JPK with no lag fix.. (no need for it with JPK) and alot of people I have showed the phone too can't get over how fast it is.. these are people with Iphones and Blackberrys.

The big deal is Samsungs ignorance or incompetence to make a bug fix. I bought my SGS late june, and still no GPS fix from Samsung.
I can live with a laggy and erratic GPS, but I can not live with a GPS who sometimes are running in the parallel streets and tries to guide me back to the street I am actually driving for the moment.
Edit:
My SGS is in for service for 3. time now. If the GPS is not working when it returns, it will be "3 Strikes Out" and my money back and Samsung's ignorance or incompetence has saved me my money.

Ah, because every phone has bugs we have to shut down the mouth and say nothing?
If an iPhone 4 has bugs we have to say that, if an HTC has bugs we have to say that.
Nobody is saying don't say anything.. But what is getting annoying:
People posting dedicated threads containing the bugs which annoy them, instead of posting to the threads already discussing the separate bugs. Strangely, they aren't marked as dupes...
The constant exaggerations and lies. Rather than have an honest debate, many are choosing to heavily exaggerate/lie about their problems. Rather than have an honest debate, many people are also trying to close debate with BS such as "the gps problems ARE HARDWARE, end of story!", or use fake statistics such as "this phone is unusable 66% of the time it's so laggy". The other side isn't perfect either though, and some are saying "the GPS is perfect, but they wont post tracks".
The lack of proof. People are getting away with inventing claims too easily. ON BOTH SIDES. People are accepting "it's detailed in another thread" as evidence, whilst in many cases, it isn't actually PROVEN in any other thread, or the "proof" has flaws .
People are getting called fanboy's when they question a claim. This shouldn't happen
People who are dissatisfied need to patting their fellow whingers on the back for creating threads and venting.
We need more people to question what is said, and just because something IS said, to not allow them to be called a fanboy. That's the problem. There's a lot of BS on both sides, and not enough questioning.
No external linking is allowed?! How am I going to prove this? Let's be manaul:
My endomondo account 225326 has workouts using both a Nokia n82 (before July) and Samsung Galaxy S (starting in july). The Nokia workouts rarely had GPS issues aside from inaccuracy when running close to larger buildings. I do all the time with my Samsung Galaxy S, it will only have sporadic locks. It is useless for tracking workouts, it only works as a glorified stopwatch. Google Maps is close to unusable, especially when outside urban areas where there's enough base stations to triangulate with fair accuracy.
If you turn off the radio assist thing, you'll experience exactly how reliable the GPS is. I dare you to try!

Using the note as a handheld phone in public

Since people love to talk about this, I thought a formal comment thread on this topic would be nice.
I was at the marathon today, and with everyone around, I made a very big deal of using the phone in public.
For example, I was using the GPS on my phone and walking around with it in my hand, so I would often hold it to my head and pretend to talk on it, and see if anyone cared. If someone happened to be looking at me, or in my direction, I might look at my phone and then pretend to talk about it.
I'd kind of turn away so they could see what I'm doing, then turn back a little so I can glance at them and see their reaction.
It was brutal. People were running away, Women were screaming, and children were bursting into tears. Someone called the mod squad and I got jailed for causing a public disruption.
Okay, I'm lying. The reality is not one person seemed to care. Seriously. Not one person.
When you hold the phone, I assume the phone is centered in your hand so you don't drop it. That means, for me, two thirds of the phone is covered by my hand. The rest kinda just looks like a shadow. I suppose a white phone would be more noticable.
It's just not an issue, folks. Although, this is new york, and we get everything.
I have always suspected that people will, at first glance, consider it a very unimpressive tablet and immediately lose interest in what you are doing with it.

I always use my Streak in Public as a phone
yeah i think ppl are started to get used to see bigger and bigger screen phone. i dont see anyone seem to bother or care what i am using againt my ear lol
I honestly don't understand why people are making a big deal of talking on this phone, especially compared to other methods. Mind you, I haven't gotten my Note yet, but I would think that it would just be a "Hm, that's a large phone" kind of thing more so than a "why is that guy holding an iPad to his head" kind of thing.
Also, I would rather talk with a large phone to my head than one of the small bluetooth headsets that are popular nowadays, as at least with the big phone its obvious you're on the phone versus the headset which is so small that it looks like you're one of those crazy hobos you see downtown talking to themselves.
On a side note, I am downright astonished that a phone this powerful puts out less of a SAR than the iPhone - 0.16 W/kg vs the iPhone 4's 1.18. Thanks to the lower SAR I'm actually looking forward to swapping to the Note, as my iPhone makes my head feel funny after a few minutes of calling.

Same, I've been a Streak user since Aug of last year, and the Streak is actually longer than the Note, but the Note is a tad wider. My close friends all had a giggle and when new coworkers see it they go "whoa what's that?" but it makes having a niche huge freaking phone fun. If that bugs people, the should probably just get the Galaxy Nexus which is .6" smaller with the same Super AMOLED HD screen. (well 720 vs 800 pixels on the smaller axis, but very close). It's never been a big deal at all, and it fits in all my jeans pockets, though I'm tall (6'3").
For me, the response has changed a little from when I carried the Streak. The SGN actually LOOKS more like a phone than the Streak--probably because the Streak had no visible protruding buttons...People used to say "Is that a PHONE?!!??!"
Now it's..."WOW! That's a big EFIN phone!"
i don't think anyone around really pays enough attention to care that it's an inch or so bigger than a GS2 ... my gf told me i'd look like a dweeb, but i barely take into account what she says anyway lol
It's like a pimple on your chin.
You think it's enormous.
Your friends think it's amusing for 2 minutes.
Most people are more concerned with real life.

Exactly, you folks worry about what others think faaaar too much
The Note is tiddly! Seriously. I spent a good chunk of the last 12 months using my Galaxy Tab 7" as a phone/tablet. Now that is big, and I didn't get arrested once, no matter how I tried .
The Note is a stunted cousin in comparison. No big deal. The ones to mock are those using tiny 3.5" screens as a "smartphone" .
Like I give a rat's ass what other people think about my phone. I wish a MF would say something smart about my Dell Streak or Galaxy Note. They gonna get their feelings hurt messing around with me, lol.
I haven't noticed anyone staring at me when I'm on a call with the Note, but when I sit down and put it on the table in company, it gets everyone's attention and is overwhelmingly positive.
Only one person, after playing with it, said, "To Big".
Mostly people were in awe of the big vivid screen and interested in the s-pen and usually dropped off when I tried to impress them with the specs of dual processor this and GPS satelites that.
One guy said, "That Steve Jobs was a genius".
I didn't bother to correct him that this was not some giant new iphone and that Steve jobs did not invent smart phones, let alone mobile phones.
see my sig for my usual reaction

Why not? Seems like the perfect opportunity to prove that Jobs was, in fact, not Jesus.
Seriously does anyone care what other people think of the size of the phone they are making calls with? Is anyone's life really that empty?
Why do you think people will care at the first place?
It is just a phone as far as they are concern.

Personally I don't care.
But it's a common question to ask for some reason,
and more upsetting is how so many reviews say/warn that you'll look stupid holding the phone.
It's really annoying.
