Hello, I itried to install a rom not suitable fot T-mous and I can't recover the phone since Then. It's possible to help me out? I became really sad without my hd2.
I tried to install several different roms (official and others), everything seems fine but when it reboots goes to the white screen and reboots...when i enter bootloader shows:
PB81120 ss-b3
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x40
Still charges through usb and the led is working but when i disconnect it from the pc..Turns off instantly
PLLLLSSSS Help me out through this issue
a plus point of it, ITS NOT BRICKED
DONT DO **** TILL PEOPLE SAY WHAT 2DO..
otherwise you will brick it...(trust me selfexperience, bricked my)
when its bricked, you cant do ****, the phone doesnt turn on, NOTHING happends.
just w8 till some nice people who have some experience want to help you (and me stuck with spl-3.03.0000)
So dont do anything yet!!
Firstly try switching on the phone without the SD Card installed.
If that doesn't solve your problem then:
Go to HTC's website and download a TMOUS ROM (preferably the 2.10 ROM) - you need to use your phone's serial number to get to download the ROM. If you get an invalid message, then you are trying to download a ROM not suitable fro your phone.
Press and hold the Volume Down button then tap the Power button. You are now in Bootloader Mode. Connect to the PC and the 'Serial' at the bottom of the screen will change to 'USB'.
Run the ROM. Just tick the box about ActiveSync.
If in future you are going to run a custom ROM, then check that it is suitable for a TMOUS. Only flash RADIOs with a .50 in it and above 2.07.50.
None of the suggestions...worked...Tried to boot without tha sd inserted...Noresult...And I have installed the two official versions of the T-mobile again with no result )):
Any other suggestions///????
Thanks ):
Sounds like quite a predicament. Have you tried any of the NAND android roms? Maybe a different os might get the phone to act differently.
I'm not going to say that this will work, but if it doesn't you should be able to hard reset back to a windows mobile os you have used previously by doing what you have done up until now with flashing them back on afterwards, putting you back to your current situation.
do a task 29. and try reflashing. (google "mtty for hd2" to perform task 29 )
Ever since I went to wp7 and back to android, my amazing hd2 has never been the same since. For weeks I have had freezing, so wanted to get a clean slate and start over. I did the following
Task29
Magldr 1.3
wanted to install nexushd2 so had to install
CWM_Recovery_for_NexusHD2_135M
it crashed towards the end of the install, ok I try to go back to magldr...but even tho I hold the button I dont get the options. I try it all again...same problem. I heard going back to stock 3.14 will fix most problems...it also hangs but at 8%?
Its now 6am and I need sleep...can anybody help...I really need a phone for tomorrow.
Thanks in advance

Is that ok?
I got a quick question, did you reformat your SD card after you removed Windows Phone 7? If not this is probably your pro.lemons as WP7 cormates your card in a funky way so the phone tvinls the SD card is the enternal memory, I forget what it is called. But this is the same in WP7 native devices as they actually use SD card for memory and not enternal chips.
The best way to do this is to either vet an adapter and put your card in a digital camera and format it. Then reformat it again to Fat with your computer. Are you can just use your computer, but I suggest the digital camera as it will 100% remove the funky format.
Go into bootloader and flash a correct stock rom from USB. If it doesn't take confirm it's correct for your phone and try again.
sticking at 8% means a problem with installing the radio.
Put it in a plastic bag and pop it in the fridge for 30 minutes. remove and reflash.
I would recommend extracting the 3.14 installation file (using winrar).
Rename the RUU_signed.nbh to 'LEOIMG.nbh'.
Copy this file into the root of your SD Card, and pop the card in the phone.
Boot the phone whilst holding in the volume down button and let it flash.
If cooling the phone helped, send it back under warranty (you have got rid of HSPL, so all is good now.
I got mircosdhc to usb today, copied LEOIMG.NBH to sd, tried to flash but getting 28002 error not allowed
i then throws me back to spl 1.42
I have tried both 3.14 and 1.66 official roms...both sdflash and romupdateutility.
When I try sdflash with leoimg.nbg it gets to 1% then shuts down.
Is my hd2 dead? it doesnt even get orange led charge :-/
Tri colour screen now says
hx-bc
spl 1.42.0000 xe
micro (led) 0x05
microP(TOUCH) 0X40
Is that ok, I dont remember if being that
update
cant flash radios either, shows the progress bar then restarts.
I tried :
2.15.50.14
Gutted, its my best phone ever
hmm, quite a rash of stuck radios this past week or so, , hardware coming to the end of its flashable life?
@OP, some people are recommending (myself included it seems, by passing it on) chilling the phone in a sealed bag in fridge freezer, no sim no sd, then when its cool, put sd in and try to flash real quick, try a few times, keeping it sealed and cool.
Aparently the theory is that the hardware is overheating, and the cooling lets it work well enough for a little while.
There are one or two what look like success stories, it has to be said, but i wouldn't put a bet on it myself just yet.
Good luck.
(oh and i wouldnt put the phone in the bag in a warm room either, , take it outside for a while first, let it be cool before it goes in teh bag, less chance of condensation.)
It doesnt look good...either get a black screen with a triangle!
or if I get into the tri colour bootloader it says:
upgrade rom code error please try again
everytime i try flash a radio it goes either 0% or 8% reboots phone.
I wish I stayed on sd...never had any problems ever...ever since win7 my phone hasnt been the same.
Any more advice or links would be great, keep em coming. I dont want to give up on my hd2 just yet...Im mean its still (imo) one of the best android phones about

that would be a stock spl then,, and with the rom update error, that means you have flashed the wrong stock rom from sd card. It has removed hspl, then the flash failed because you had (have) stock 1.42.0000 spl.
enter bootloader - usb - hspl4 - 2.08.hspl HSPL not 0000 - into bootloader again, has the spl changed? if not, then flashing is stuck, and you are in the stuck radio situation, if it HAS changed, now try flashing a rom or radio, , , flash from usb, see what happens.

You could go to HTC's website, and search for HD2, and then go to downloads, and try downloading the newest rom that the site offers. You need to enter your serial number which is located under the battery. With some luck you will end up having a shipped rom, which has the same cid as your phone, and you will then be able to flash your phone via usb cable (from the tricolor screen).
If for some reason the HTC website won't accept your srial number, try to select another country from the top right part of the website.
I live in Serbia, and the Serbian HTC page has no rom downloads for HD2, the International page won't accept my serial, but the polish page did accept it. So keep trying, until the webpage accepts your sn.
If you are in no luck, you could try downloading roms from http://www.shipped-roms.com/.
Hope you will succeed in your quest to resurrect your phone.
Best of luck

Ha, funny you should say mention that about HTCs site...but my S/N didnt work either. I wasnt sure if it was something to do with me/my phone or just the site was rubbish!
Im currently downloading an o2 rom frmo shippedroms (great site, thanks) so all my fingers and toes are crossed.
Funny thing is, I can flash hspl and hspl2, I managed to flash radio but not rom...keeps rebooting.
Did u take out sim and SD and try flashing?
@samsamuel
Well, I managed to get hspl4 on ok (2.08hspl) and then flashed a win6.5 rom it worked...but doesnt boot (stuck at flash screen)
When I downloaded official roms from both htc and shippedroms...they are corrupt. I used winrar, 7zip and tried to just run the packaged exe file...doesnt open.
Can anybody help me test these files and see if its me or have a good office rom they can upload?
@milli
when i managed to get an win6.5 rom flashed, sd was in, sim was out (i used hspl usb flash method)
EDIT - Found some o2 shipped roms on xda...extracted and going to try usb flash via hspl4
well i can flash radios and roms via hspl4 usb flash method AND usb via pc...but still cannot boot. Stuck at inital splash screen.
Any ideas now? We have made progress
edit - i have tried both custom roms and shipped o2 (uk) roms
Did you try hard reset after you'd flashed the rom(s)??
tried it once or twice, but not everytime. redownloading another rom
RUU_Le2_UK_1.43.206.4_Radio_Signed_15.26.50.07U_2.04.50.22_2_Ship_WORKING.exe (191,374 KB)
i hope this works...im getting desperate. Im still unsure at whats went wrong. Is it something wrong with my nand memory?
I can now flash radio, roms but yet cannot boot (Stuck at white htc splash...the red text sometimes appears...sometimes it doesnt).
edit - that rom failed to flash
I have a 512mb hd2 and today, when i reboot my phone, magldr shows fatal hit 1 and it wont boot into android or enter cwm.
Therefore, i did a task29 and flashed a stock winmo rom using usb cable. However it wont boot into winmo. It shows the htc logo and it stucks there. Sometimes it show htc logo with rgb at the bottom and it will stuck there. I never get into winmo.
Then i tried flashing the stock winmo rom using the sd card method. However, when the phone say that the process is finished, i plugged out the battery. i didnt know that i have to press the red button.
Now, the phone will only boot into the tri coloured screen and the screen shows this:
e??????u HX-BC
(upside down "e" followed by some unknown and indescribable characters followed by a "u")
SPL-142.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x50
I cannot do anything else. I can't flash anything at all. It will end up in an error.
When i try to flash stock winmo rom using sd card, it will say loading... , then it will say checking... then this red numbers: 0058002 will appear on top then it will go back to the tri coloured screen again.
When can i do?
corrupted modelID, (the e??????u HX-BC bit)
I think JTAG is the only way out, and i've not actually seen hard confirmation that JTAG will fix it. there certainly isn't any flashing solution that i've seen, and we've seen this problem a fair few times.
Unlucky. Got warranty?
yes, its still under warranty. Would the warranty be void?

Hi,
Unless you can flash an original WM ROM,warranty will be void.
You need to revert back to orginal... HSPL is a hack and your warranty is void.
Go to HTC site>support>download>ROM upgrade and choose appropriate ROM upgrade for your phone
Extract with winrar or 7z the RUU_Leo_HTC_****************************_Ship.exe
find the larger *.nbh file and rename it to leoimg.nbh and place this file on an sd card that is 4gb or less
and reboot to bootloader (the one with 4 colors, hold volume down button)
follow the instructions from there
That way you will have your original software with SPL restored and ready to send it for repair
No need for PC drivers etc.
Don't panic, faced this situation before.. create a goldcard .. follow this thread
Really? Goldcard ignores modelid? You sure? Cos that would imply that you could use a hd2 Goldcard to flash any winmo rom to any winmo phone, which you can't. I'll be interested in anyone confirming absolutely that a phone with a corrupted modelid in bootloader can be flashed from Goldcard.
@op. Yes warranty is valid If your boooader shows a valid spl, ending 0000,because you tell them you woke up and it was on the charger, hot, and in bootloader, screen on, that top line looks wrong, you tried to flash the stock rom but it fails. So long as the spl is good is usually enough for warranty.
Yes with goldcard you can put any HD2 rom on any HD2 phone, debrand .. make it chinese or whatever.
And that's my slightly sarcastic point,,,,, if the modelid is corrupt the Goldcard won't recognise it as a hd2.

I saw on the bottom Mr Samsamuel is here, he point me a lot of help to revive my HD two days ago, now my hd2 is up and running. First you failed with MAGLDR, and you did to revive with stock rom. what stock rom did u use. More info will help many hd2 guru here
I believed before you flash anything (as I understood from own experience) flash HSPL, do task29, flash Radio. Just try and let us know. alert : do not do this on Virtual Machine
I have step by step edited copy tutorial to install cLK on hd2, it also can be use to revive brick hd2 (at some level of brick) PM me I will send by email
let us have coffee
the stock rom I use is hTC_Asia_WWE_1.66.707.1_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship
but the problem is I can't do anything with my phone at all. i can't flash hspl or any rom at all...
Buy anyways i have gotten my phone back from htc and now its working. i am now afraid of installing magldr as i fear the same problem (fatal hit 1) will happen again.
I am now considering the old sd card method of running android.... (i think this is safer)
Not sure if clk would have a similar error or something... i have not try it before.
I have googled the magldr fatal hit 1 error and quite a few people have this problem but i can't seem to find a real solution to it. I remember reading somewhere that someone say it is caused by many bad blocks on nand due to excessive flashing. (not sure what this means and how to deal with it)
Since got back ur live hd2. It will no fun anymore. No singgle software 100% safe or bug free. Clk is almost same with MAG both are boatloader. Your bootloader from htc also not bug free.
Running os from sd card is slow. Its same as ur pc booting from live cd/usbstick or external hdd. That for emergency only, rescuing fail software etc. Just do everything carefully read all instruction asking forum and google. You will safe and have a lot of fun

Hello and good morning
I have a issue with my HD2
i get to the boot screen right now it says this
PB81100 HX-B3
SPL-3.03 HPSL XE
0x05
Cotulla HPSL 0x50
i have even try to go back to SPL 2.08 also.
i do a boot screen to try to restore stock rom but it won't work.
i have installed MAGLDR111 on it and 113
When it turns on it goes in a Dexter loading please wait and sits there forever. i even left it there for half an hour once and nothing
When i go to SPL2.08 to boot stock rom it goes into effect it starts the process but it gets stuck at 3%
7% and the maximum i can get is 8%
Try it on two computers and is the same.
Even some custom roms.
LDR
If i hold the power button for the MAGLDR it goes into a black screen with the letter on top but no menu to scroll down to anything.
Can someone tell me if this a hardware issue and i should give up?
i got this phone like this from Ebay with booting up to the boot screen only.
i thought i was going to be able to flash it myself cause i done it before on other hd2
but this one is really giving me a hard time
I just try it again and I get 302 error
I hope someone can help me out. ifnot i will have to give up on it.
Hm you need to try to flash an original Windows 6.5 rom to restore your SPL and RADIO. Also check what kind of SD card do you have. Sometimes it fails with some.
i don't have a SD card in it im trying to flash it from boot mode usb
And i have try installing the original rom from tmobile.
but it keeps getting only to 8% and it gets stuck.
im at the point that now i think there is something wrong with the hardware.

Try to touch versions hspl and to stitch original ROM.
p.s. It would be certainly easier, if was available sd, but alas... Absence sd complicates a problem.
Hello everyone.
I am using my HD2 for a year almost. Last few months I am on Androind NAND, HyperDroidX version, worked perfectly for me. HSPL version 2.08 is there too ofc.
Few days ago, when I pressed button on him, and wanted to unlock it, screen just stayed black, buttons flashed. Ok, can happen, I put out battery (for reset), placed it back, turn on.... and only white screen appeared. No that standard message "HTC brilliant" or whatever is default screen on these HTC phones.... just PURE WHITE screen is there, and nothing is happening.
Ok I thought... I ****ed up software somehow (altho I dont know how, cause as I said, that all happened few days ago, and I didnt do anything recently with my phone, didnt instaled any new program, or so what so ever). Entered bootloader screen, connected phone on USB (got normal message that I got new hardware), and wanted to do TASK29, and than flash everything again from begining. But, doing so, TASK29 just stayed at 0% for a like 5-6mins, and after it there was "ERROR [262]: Update error" showing. Suggest me to do "recovery process", which I did, didnt helped. I googled about that error 262, found out a few things... than, I tried doing TASK29 at my 2 other friends comp's... 1 is on WIN7, other XP. Reinstaled ActiveSync/MDMC, tried to do it... and same problem happens. Changed my USB cable, same thing. Tried to flash anything else, tried to flash RADIO, new ROM... but nothing... all the same error as with TASK29. So, nothing is wrong with TASK/ROM/RADIO files, nothing is wrong with comp or USB cables, cause I tried it on other comps/with other cable as I said.
Only thing I can instal (or flash, w/e is that "method" called) is HSPL. I reinstaled it without problems, and that's the only thing I can do on this phone atm.
My friend later also suggest me to do "hard flash" (dunno how its called, so I call it "hard flash" ) of STOCK ROM, and with that operation also remove my HSPL, so if that works, than I can easily later put HSPL again, and try to flash custom roms.
So I tried that also... formated my 8gb SD card... dowloaded stock rom from official website (with my S/E number), unpacked it, copied RUU_signed.nbh onto root of sd card... changed name into LEOIMG.nbh... placed sd card into phone, entered bootloader screen, pressed "power" key... but again NOTHING is happening, no instalation is starting... there is just standard bootloader screen staying on. For any case, I than again formated again my sd card (FAT32 it is, 4kb allocation), again done same, copied, placed card, tried to start flashing, and again nothing.
Well, I am far away from being pr0 about this phone... but I think I tried almost everything. Anybody knows what can cause these problems??
Why I cant "normal flash" anything from 3 different computers where I tried it, why it always stays on 0% (and if I didnt said, I did alot of flashing till now, all were going just fine till now)?
And why I cant even do "hard flash" of STOCK ROM, and remove HSPL?
And ofc, what all I can do to solve this problem?
P.S. Sry for wall'o'text, but I just wanted to explain everything about this problem. Hope somebody help me find solution for this.
Tnx in advance.
try this and do the complete wipe thing, see what happens:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1187292
you can also try task2a and then try reflashing.
also check for bent/misaligned battery pins.
also report here what the bootloader says (would be a bunch of numbers in the top-left corner on a red-blue-green-white screen).
you might want to try the "freezer trick" as well.

The guy removed the file for some crazy reason.
"freezer trick" is to compensate for overheating mainboard issue some HD2s suffer from.
1) put your phone in a plastic bag and put it in the fridge for 15 minutes.
2) take out and try to flash stock ROM again

just to be sure, i'm not talking about the battery itself or the battery's capacity. have a look at the battery PINS to see if one or more might be bent/misaligned. if you meant you charge it "normally" and rarely remove the battery, then you're right...probably pins will be ok. but have a look at the pins just in case.
the HSPL information seems to look good. and by your own account, HSPL is the only thing that flashes properly. try another thing...try to flash ONLY a radio ROM...see if that "takes". if it fails with this also, might be a "stuck" radio problem, although the few accounts i've read about stuck radios indicate that the flashing goes through to 100% but the radio doesn't really change. (BE CAREFUL TO FLASH THE CORRECT RADIO VERSION IF YOU HAVE A TMOUS HD2)
freezer trick is what orangekid said. sounds like a long shot but it has been known to get things going enough for you to restore stuff to a factory state and possibly send it off for a warranty claim.

To further clarify the TMOUS radio thing, if you have a TMOUS, DO NOT flash a radio that ends in .51 or an early release eu radio (2.04.50 etc.)
Just to be safe don't flash any radio under 2.12.50 because they pretty useless to you anyways.
Took look at battery, and its pins... all seems rly OK. Dont think there is problem.
Tried to flash RADIO only... again same thing, struck at 0%. (nope, I am not on Tmobile version.... my version is "standard", and I tried to flash 2.15.50.14 version of RADIO (same I used long time for mine HyperDroidX Andriod version).
Now, if I cant do anything else... tell me... is there ANY way that I can kill my HSPL, and turn it into "regular" SPL, so I can use my warranty on this phone, cause I have it still?
I read somewhere (dunno if its true), that I can "overwrite" my HSPL with regular SPL with "HSPL3_PKG" file that can be found here on forum. From manu, dont choose HSPL 2.08, instead of it choose SPL 2.08.0000 instead? Or something like that?
If I cant do anything else, at least, is there a way to put regular SPL, and take my phone at my service?
Hspl4.
Its in the winmo upgrade forum

Dowloaded HSPL4, tried that... from manu I choose 2.08.0000 instead of 2.08.HSPL... instalation was going fine, finished succesfully, I clicked OK... but after restarting my phone, NOTHING has changed.

This means there are no more solutions? :S
just for the hell of it try a different micro SD, format fat32 then try stock ROM flash again (make sure no typos in the LEOIMG.nbh)
Did do that 2 days ago... but nothing happened again.
Was pissed alot, and took my phone to the warranty service. Luckily, in that service there are uber-nice ppl, and they just said they wont even look at that HSPL.
Guy there said it's probbably some problem with motherboard, and phone is sent to hardware service.
Tnx for responses and help anyway.. hope all passes good.
