Phone won't turn on - Galaxy S II General

I've searched but to no avail. If my SG2 is in charge and reaches 100% (ie when I have it on charge overnight) it does not power on when I attempt to use it the next day. I have to reboot with the power button or remove the battery.
I don't believe it's rom related as this is recently happening to me using criskelo and rarity roms.
I've installed a few new apps recently but can't find the culprit.
Anyone have any suggestions how to fix this annoying bug....

Help... Battery indicator broken...

Ok, before I get flamed, I've been trying to search to find a solution to this problem. I read somewhere about there being a software glitch when you power off the phone while plugged in.
Well I did that by mistake and now my phone battery indicator totally doesn't work. The phone shows half charged even when full, even within settings. What can I do other than reflash? I tried to delete battery stats in rom manager but I don't think that will work because I have ryan zas lag fix installed. Can someone help me?

I pulled battery out and the phone still the same, ugh.

yea the phones battery indicator is off. Nothing you could do about it. I use a widget called "Batterylife" by CurveFish.
It works great and pretty accurate.
The solution is to root your phone and replace framework-res http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=758797
WARNING: Rooting your phone will void your warranty. Messing with the phone's filesystem and configuration presents a risk of bricking your phone, proceed with your own risk.
Just to clarify. I've never had this problem before, and its not the same as the battery indicator just being off. I'm not even getting the battery full pop up when plugged in and the settings show the actual percentage never full. I do however get normal battery life out of it regardless of what battery life shows, and I'm not just talking about the icon!
This started after powering off and then on while charging. The big green samsung battery icon popped up prior to the phone restarting and that was the start of this going on. I read about this issue on a prior thread but can't find it for the life of me, either when searching galaxy and vibrant using the search function. I want a mod, just the stock battery function as it was before.
Thanks for any help!

Did you try flashing one of the more accurate battery indicators? Check out the ones in Themes section. They have the battery % and are either stock looking or circular. That might reset the indicator.
you can also recalibrate the battery following the guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=765656
I'm going to try the calibration method, thanks for the good suggestions

Same issue here.
Just 10 minutes ago
here same problem too
Hi guys, try giving it a full charge every nite, e.g 11pm to 6pm, regardless of the battery level left on the indicator. I do it continously for full five days and I dun encounter this prob. Furthermore, my charge can hold longer even till 2 days full medium usage.

Backlight died after a 20% drain.

Hi,
(I did search on google and xda).
No solutions found so far.
On my nexus S (no 4g); the screen turn off when the battery was about at 20%.
Impossible to get it back on. The backlight is very very very low, I can say almost off. In a absolute dark I can see the screen to make my backups.
What I tried :
- Complete flash rom ( running CM7)
- Hard reset
- Battery change
- Using the device on AC power
My guess is that the phone's dead because even on boot the backlight's off.
So far, on the internet, it seems to be a recurrent problem...
Any solution? BTW : this device is from a exchange on a old warranty. It's about 2 month old and I can't return it back...
Thanks
How about Pull the battery out for a night to let it lost power and memory at all.

Done, but only for 4 hours...
I'll try for a night.
Thanks
Worth a try but it really sounds like the display is broken. Still got warranty? You should also try to flash stock and "oem lock" it before, obviously.

Battery during the night

Since a couple of nights I noticed that my galaxy note can't last through the night, even with a reasonably well charged battery.
At some point I also accidentally woke up during the night and noticed that the screen was spontaneously on, showing the lock screen.
This morning I checked the battery usage, and took 2 snapshots.
As you can see, at some point the screen is activated and remains so for hours.
Does anybody have a clue on what could be the culprit, or how to find it out, I suspect some app, since this was not happening from the beginning of my gnote usage.
I still have the original os running (2.3.6)

Have you tried restarting or factory resetting your phone? It must be some application you may have installed. I haven't come across anything like this before.
You remove the charger from the phone without unlocking it. It is a known issue that prevents the phone to sleep. So next time first swype your finger on the screen to unlock it then unplug the charger, if not then restart the phone so it can go to deep sleep state.

Is the screen which stays constantly on the lockscreen a side effect of wakelock also? Did not know that.
The thing is that I use two batteries, so I almost never charge the phone itself. And since I replace batteries, I regularly reboot the phone (at least once a day). Does not seem to help.
I would prefer to avoid resting to factory defaults, one reason being that I would like to find out which app has such a malicious behavior.
But perhaps it's hard to catch the culprit, and I won't escape a reset (or a reverse chronological install of apps until the issue is resolved)

You can use Better Battery stats to find the rogue app. Its free for XDA members.

[Q] NEXUS 4 Shutdown

Phone shuts down within minutes of taking off charge. Looses network every time before shutting down.
Doesn't boot up or boots and immediately shuts down. Battery charge shown in recovery and upon booting differ.
Battery calibration, safe mode does not help. Also disabled smart wifi settings, as suggested in many threads, to no avail.
Running stock 4.4.2, rooted, bootloader unlocked.
Works perfectly fine when plugged in.

How old is the battery, how many charging cycles did it have? Have you tried flashing the stock rom again (4.3 or 4.4)?
For instance, search for battery replacement on aliexpress.com.
The phone is around a year old. Battery stats show it's in good health.
I need to confirm it's a battery problem before replacing it. What about the signal dropping?

Update: Also flashed to stock 4.4. Still the same issue. In fact, the problem is persistent across multiple roms; AOKP, CM, PA, MIUI, stock...

It's most likely the battery, try to replace it with genuine one.
I too think so. Just looking for someone who's faced similar issues and what worked for them.
