Internet Stops; Requires Restart - Desire HD General

Recently I have had this issue with CM7 where the internet/market would no longer work until I restarted the device. It would work for a period then require another restart. The odd thing is I have had this issue with CM7 the last few times I have had it installed and it its been with the official stable release and 2-3 different nightlies. When I switched to ARHD it works just fine and I do not see this issue.
I have tried reinstalling the ROM, before you ask. Anybody have this issue as well? It only happens with anything requiring data and I do get SMS and phone calls just fine. But everything is solved after a restart.
Right now I am using the CM7 stable, LordMod 8.2 BFS kernel and none of the apps are different than when it was working with ARHD.

Please search before opening a new thread. This has been covered alot lately.
This is a problem with CM based roms that have been use the BFS kernel. Swap it to a CFS. Still happens but not as often. A search would have told you this. Thread closed

Every possible way to fix the GPS bug in CM7

I have tried SEVERAL ways to fix it and none have worked. New radios, apps like gps status, trying a new gps.vision.so file, and other ways that I can't remember.
The only thing that I haven't tried is going back to a new rom with working GPS, enabling it, and then going back to a nandroid backup. Might try this tomorrow. Which rom should I try that has a working GPS?
What other ways to fix my gps have I overlooked?
Thanks guys! You guys are always a big help!
What is this "bug" you're talking about? I get a gps lock in about 10 seconds..
Sent from my G2 running Cyanogenmod 7.
rc1 gps ok, rc2 can't find right gps fix
When I first installed RC1, I replacing the gpsvision.so or whatever that file was did fix it....since RC2 haven't found that correct fix file....Anyone have a link to the whatever gpsvision.so the G2 likes with RC2?

Multiple CM7 users have been reporting problems with the GPS on numerous Nightlys. You're one of the lucky ones who hasn't been screwed by the bug lol.
Back to the topic, which Gingerbread ROM has an official working GPS? As in ONLY a FEW people complaining about having gps issues. Thinking about using a Sense rom to get gps working.

For my Desire Z and CM-7.0.0-RC2 I had to downgrade radio to get GPS working.
26.04.02.17 works for me and 26.06.02.27 (latest now) does not.
I can confirm that for CM7 RC2 on my G2 can not obtain a GPS lock.
My DZ works normal

Ditto for me. GPS stopped working when I installed CM 7 RC2.
GPS stopped working in mine as well when I went to CM7 RC2 and hasn't worked since. I'm now running the latest RC. I did get mine to work by flashing a different radio...as soon as I did that, GPS locked. I went back to the original radio I had before and GPS still works.
I think it's just a case of CM7 not reading the radio correctly until the radio gets flashed and forces CM7 to rediscover it. That's just what I THINK is going on from personal experience in computers...if it's wrong, please someone correct me.
I've been using the nightlies every since they started churning them out, The GPS stopped working on one of the builds and I never noticed. I'm currently on build 35 and I simply flashed my radio and GPS locks within seconds now..

[Q] Bluetooth & WiFi Problem with Virtuous Fusion ROM

I'm having a problem with having both bluetooth and the wifi being on while running Virtuous Fusion ROM > 1.0.1. If WiFi is on and once bluetooth is turned on, wifi continues to work for maybe 5 minutes and then wifi shows to be connected, but it won't transmit any data. Once I turn bluetooth off and turn wifi off and then just turn the wifi back on, wifi works.
I don't have this problem with v1.0.1 of the ROM, but I've tried every newer version (doing a full wipe or doing an upgrade, tried both) and all of the revisions have this problem for me.
I'm a new member so the forums don't allow for me to post this as reply to the ROM thread in the development forum. Can someone help me, or at least repost this as a reply in the Virtuous Fusion ROM thread?
Thanks.
which version are you using i am also using that sense rom v1.0.6 and wifi and bluetooth work fine
I've tried every version, except 1.0.6, but the changes made from .5 to .6 don't sound like they're going to make a difference.
Maybe it is something with my phone, but I've done a full wipe through clockwork recovery with every version and I keep having the problem. The only version that works is 1.0.1.

my last try would be to completely wipe data, cache, and cache partition and reinstall the newest version...if not it could be your kernel perhaps

I've done all that and tried a different kernel, same problem. This is why perhaps I think it might be a bug in the ROM code.
their might be...not all phones react the same to roms but hopefully that bug can be fixed so you can enjoy ur Fusion rom
I had this problem as well. I thought it was caused by an app called "In-app Wifi Toggle" that somehow got backed up by Titanium from my previous ROM, which I restored onto this ROM without thinking. When I uninstalled it, Wifi was working fine.

I tried looking for this app on my phone and it wasn't there, thanks though...
I'm pretty sure that's just a know bug with that Rom. Same with my phone.

Really? I searched the ROM thread and couldn't really find a mention of it...
I am having some difficulties along these lines but not directly effecting bluetooth use, Wifi just cuts in and out even with me being right next to my router. I dont use bluetooth so I cant really recreate the problem to try and find a suitable solution.
My wifi problem might be because I am using 1.0.5 though so updating right now

Dark Knight 3 not work wifi

I can not run the wifi with the dark knight rom, I'm always authentication error: s
PS: Do not I get the logo of wifi, 3G or GPS
Not sure. Flashed dark night yesterday for first time so seems great. Wifi perfect although I did flash semaphore after about an hour or so. Just seems smoother with less lag for me. maybe try flashing again or a couple of reboots.

you can try other kernels, for example devil, glitch.
Wifi not works
Same problem, I will try reboot and if its not help I try other kernel, but I am little bit new in ICS. I came from 2.3.6. So any sugestion for correct version? thx
EDIT: Solved with double reboot and search. Sorry for unnecessary post.
Try changing kernels, it has to be an ICS specific kernel. Such kernels include;
Icy Glitch
Semaphore (ICS version, dont know full name)
Devil
and there are several here;

Do you research before flashing so you flash the right stuff and always have a CWM backup

[Q] swype, slide-it, touchpal, why don't they work?

ok here's the problem, I reboot my phone and all those swype-like programs work, then all of a sudden they stop working at all. At first it happened with ParanoidAndroid 1.4 (not with 1.3) then I switched to CM9 & Andromadus Mimicry ROMs. The problem persists, they work at first, then they don't. Also the input selection notification comes on everytime I open an app that requires typing. I don't know what else to do, I tried older versions of swype, swype beta, older slide-it, but no dice. anybody have any idea what may be causing this? I'm using apex launcher, v6 for ics, set cpu (UC)... dunno what else might be relevant, noob here! please help! I don't have 10 posts yet so I can't post on the development thread for CM9 & Andromadus Mimicry.
SOLVED, flashed new ROM Dark Unicorn 2.5, how do I delete this thread?

[Q] RIL bug on Defy+ (Telephony Layer error)

Hi All.
I've been trying different custom ROMs ever since i rooted my Defy+ about 7 months back. I was pretty happy with CM 10 until the RIL bug came up - see the attached image.
I tried other ROMs like MIUI, WIUI, illusion, Mokee, but sooner or later, the error kept coming.
I have noticed that the bug isn't there with GingerBread based ROMs (Not very sure since i used these ROMs for less than a week)
The occurrence of the error is uncertain. It doesn't occur for days sometimes.
I have been searching for solutions/workarounds since quite some time, but haven't been able to resolve it.
So, is there a solution? And is there any ICS/JB based ROM that doesn't have this bug? (I can't live with GB)

No there is no solution till now.
The only one is to change your mainboard. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43824345

How about this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40961000&postcount=1170
I flashed the above files (after removing batteryd as instructed), but after boot, the phone was not able to detect any cellular networks. I tried toggling the airplane mode and also rebooting, but with same result.
Anything that i might be missing here?

I've tried the solution there but no result.
And one more thing. The stock Rom gives you the same result I tried it and gives you random reboots (this is because Motorola has this workaround for the ril bug but without the warning that was added by Maniac103).
In the link posted above that was the solution that worked for me (mainboard change) maybe you will find a solution that will work for you maybe not.
Someone in a thread in dev section told that he opened the phone and making better contact for the display and the battery was a good solution for the ril bug.

I had this bug sometimes when i choose a wrong baseband or set wrong values on CPU settings.
Actually, this bug randomly appears, no telling when it comes. Sometimes it appears even on a fresh install.

In development thread, this post by overclockthesun seems to indicate that a BL6 SBF could help. Can somebody confirm ?
There is no direct correlation, since it's a hardware bug, and in any event the underlying ril framework remains the same. At best the bug occurrence is quite random, and one of forum members(above) was able to fix this problem only after a motherboard replacement. I personally had this bug once while using cm7. After a clean reinstall, I've never had this bug crop up again. Also, in GB roms(stock), the ril bug is present, but occurs silently without any error, and so calls/sms/data stop working

Ohh what's ril.. And what about network issue ?
