Has anyone else noticed that when in the web browser, and specifically doing a search in Google Images, when you click on the image to view it the image appears full screen but very blocky! (see 1st image below). Then, when clicking to view 'full size', you get a smaller, clearer image.
Why is the 1st image shown so badly scaled? I have tried this in stock browser, Dolphin and Opera Mobile and they all do the same!
Can anyone else confirm that theirs is the same?

Any picasa users out there? I know we can sync pics using the gallery, but I'm wondering why the Epic has difficulty with the picasa website using the default browser.
On my EVO, i can check everything out just like on my desktop browser (my albums, photos, slideshows, etc). On my Epic, i noticed that it just takes me to a nearly blank page. I thought maybe it's because the Epic has Android 2.1 and that it would be fixed with 2.2. Then I tried the same on the Samsung Nexus S with Android 2.3 and it displays the same almost blank page.
Maybe it's forcing me to the mobile portal? Either way, is there any way around this to make it show up like on the EVO? Thanks.
Set your UAE string to desktop
in the browser type about:debug in the address bar, press enter, then go into settings - youll find it.
Please disregard this post. Thanks.
Just for others using picasa try picasa tool it works awsome.

edit: got it working... Felt like nothing happened and then realized options showed up in settings. Thanks!
I've noticed that wallpapers applied via the Gallery app come out blurry and poorly scaled but the same image, applied by other means, work fine. For example, I can apply an image by opening the gallery (either by hand or by long press on the desktop) and the result will be blurry and scaled poorly. If I open the same file in another image viewer or a browser and apply it from there it works fine. Is this a bug in the gallery app on the Galaxy Tab? Has any one else noticed? How are others applying wallpapers?
Example:
Applied via Dolphin HD (clear)

Applied via Gallery (blurry):

The Gallery app doesn't appear to use the full res versions of the photos, and the updated one that uses better photos has some FC errors. I use an app called Crop Wallpaper, which sets itself up so you can use the sharing from your gallery or any other photo app to send it over, crop the area you want, apply it, and you're all set.
Free on the market and is the best solution I've found so far.
Yes, that's also what I found out. I'm using Multi Picture Live Wallpaper now, you can define different picture for each page in the homepage. It's free from the market.

Thanks for Crop wallpaper, the UI needs some work but gets the job done perfectly

Just downloaded Crop Wallpaper and it works amazingly well. Thanks for the recommendation.
I just came across a news article from an app. I opened it in the default browser and found this...

I don't see what is wrong with that picture...
If you want to have pages rendered differently, you can always type about:useragent and then change the way your browser presents itself.

Every now and then, when I browse websites, clicking on links yields no response. I then have to exit the browser completely and start afresh. This happens with all the browsers I have tried. The screen itself is still responsive (eg. I can pinch in and out). Does anyone else experience this? And have you found a fix?

By no response, do you mean that tapping the link doesn't even highlight it before doing nothing? I've noticed that sometimes with Dolphin, when I tap on a link, it will briefly highlight before not doing anything, but I can usually long press on the link and choose to open it.
Yes, that's right, the link fails to highlight and there is no action...
Long pressing doesn't help.

Anyone?

Check your screen sensors, I don't have any link tapping issues.
I'm experiencing this too, only in the stock browser (only browser I want to use due to Flash but being forced to use Chrome now). Screen is definitely fine, the page just won't respond and will eventually come up with a force close message saying the page is unresponsive. Any idea on how to get around this would be hugely appreciated
If you use Dolphin Browser Beta, do you have thumbnail in the home shortcut?
I could not get the thumbnails, see the attached screenshot.
I tried to recreate the shortcut...
I tried to reinstall....
Same issue...

go click on them, then come back after a few minutes, see what happens.
