You cant.
Get Titanium backup pro (backup user/system apps/data)
Get SMS Backup Pro (Backup sms)
etc etc
Repartition magldr to get CWM back, flash rom and then restore.

edit - oops, my bad, corrected
In the android nand section, titled something like "clockworkrecovery, nand,SD, ver 5.0.2 yes/no stable" or something, (currently top post
Get both
recovery_5.0.2.6_leo_sd.zip
and
recovery_5.0.2.6_leo_CWR.zip
Extract and copy the SD card ver onto SD card (copy the two files to SD, done)
And then copy the whole cwr.zip to SD card too.
Then, into magldr, "ad SD" will boot into the cwm files you placed on SD, and choose instal zip from SD,,, choose zip,, and select the cwm.zip you also placed on SD.
This will write the cwm image into the recovery partition without reflashing the cwm partition layout, so nothing lost.
[02 Nov][RECOVERY][NAND|SD][cLK|MAGLDR] ClockworkMod Recovery 5.0.2.6 "YES/NO" STABLE
download the first two links
flash_image.zip
and
recovery_5.0.2.6_leo_sd.zip
unpack teh two files from recovery_5.0.2.6_leo_sd.zip onto your sd card, and copy the whole flash_image.zip to sd card.
enter magldr
select 'boot ad sd' which will start cwm but from your sd card, from there you choose 'instal from zip - select zip' and select the flash_image.zip, which will reinstall cwm into the recovery partition on your nand, and now you should find that magldr 8 - ad recovery now works, and your rom hasnt been touched. plus you now have the latest cwm.

it worked!

aaaaaand relax.

Please, confirm if I get this right - the only way to make Rom manager work with HD2 is to use CLK bootloader, is that right. I had similar troubles to these decribed in the above posts and solved them in similar manner. I dont want to go all the way and install CLK and rom, restore back-ups and see it is too not working with Rom manager.

Two android builds at the same time?

Is it possible to have two android builds installed on my HD2 at the same time.
Currently I have a CWM NAND Desire HD isntalled. I would like to experience an SD GB build, without affecting the allready installed build (i.e. remove and reinstall again).
Is there a possibility for such two builds to co-exist. When booting to choose (MAGDLR 1.13) which one should run? without anyone affecting the other?
Please advice.
Thanks
i don't think that exit..
SD GB u mean SD card build? if SD boot, they require WM base for all this working properly..

No, they can work fine side-by-side. You don't need Windows Mobile anymore to boot into the SDcard versions of ROMs. You can do so by holding down the power button as you boot and you will see the DFT menu. Select AD SD and you'll boot into the SD version of your ROM, if you select AD NAND, then you will boot into the NAND version of the ROM. I've personally run MDJ Gingerbread on the NAND and dandiest's DesireZ ROMs on the SDcard at the same time, booting between them to play around.
Thanks.
How do I install The SD version? is it via "AD SD" where I install a zip file from root? or do I have to put the files in the "scdcard\android" directory?
Is there a procedure like HAARET?
Please advice
SD is the easiest way, but with cwm and a 400mb partition you can setup either Tom, do a nandroid backup on them and swap back and forth. The issue is gb Rome generally need a 150mb partition so your wasting space on the gb rom.
Try it, have fun.

First, download the SD ROM that you want, follow the respective instructions on how to set it up. Every ROM has a different folder that you're supposed to create on the sdcard. Next, in your Magdlr menu (hold down power as you're turning the phone on), select the SD Directory and point to the directory that you created for the SD ROM. Finally, just select which one you want to boot into via the same Magdlr menu.
Thanks
Found the answer
FOR MAGDLR BOOT:
Store the ROM in a directory "XXX" under sdcard (choose android or another name)
Boot MAGDLR
Select "SERVICES"
Select "BOOT SETTINGS"
Select "AD SD Dir"
Select the "XXX" folder
Select "BOOT AD SD" and boot

[Q] Reset android

Hi, I'm new on this forum, and I already have a problem
I just got my HD2 with android running from the phone. I was an xperia and WM user before, so I decided to give it a try. I'm trying to reset the phone (so I can costumize android) via Settings-Privacy-factory data reset, but it wont work, I hit the button "Erase everything" and noting happens.
Is there any other way to do this, maybe from the "boot manager" (I dont know the proper term for this).
...oh yes, I dont know witch specific rom is installed, I only know it is android 2.3.4
By "running from the phone " I assume you mean nand.
Turn on phone, hold power till get magldr screen, in magldr choose Ad recovery, when clockwork starts choose "wipe data factory rwsst" and "wipe cache" then restart.
yes I tried that before but it says "no boot sources"
so I guess I'm without clockwork...and I guess also this can be installed only when you install a new ROM..

Hi,
Backup your data before you start.
Download THIS TOOL (Don't forget to thank him)
Find your new ROM and determine the new partition size.
In the toolkit highlight Magldr update recovery, choose your size and update.
Then go to ad recovery and wipe data, cache partition, and dalvik(advanced).
Then install ROM.
The new partition + the wiping will thouroughly clean you up .
Tnx for the help, but I think I'm going to put WM back because I just found out that outlook and google can't be synced so easily as I use outlook for everything it's a shame.
Thank you very much for your help.
I use outlook. Myphoneexplorer syncs fine with outlook. (though I don't sync with google since doing so corrupts many of my contacts custom fields)

Hi,
This tool does a lot of the hard work for you.
Remember to back up your data before you start ,because these processes wipe your system clean.
Yes,this tool wipes your device(Not the sd card).
Re-install everything.
Use the tool to re-partition your system:
system ya 390M
cache ya 5M
Then:
go to ad recovery and wipe data, cache partition, and dalvik(advanced).
then install ROM
so to install a new NAND android rom (HD2 CoreDroid HD GB 2.3.3 V3):
i need to have MAGLDR and before that the right radio and HSPL. I already have all of this because I have installed an android rom.
from what I learned today reading all sorts of things on the forum, is that I can install this rom (HD2 CoreDroid HD GB 2.3.3 V3) or any other also without doing all that staff with the SD card and partitions, CWM... or am I wrong? - From the MAGLDR USB flash. for this to work does the rom have to be a special file type or can it be .zip like for the flashing from the SDcard?
...the CWM allowes me to backup and update android, or so I understend it?
but is it possible to install via MAGLDR #4 option and install CWM afterwards?
forgot: this tool kit enables me to do all this: install new MAGLDR, CWM an then I falsh the rom? I don't understand how it works

Hi,
Backup your data before you start
Read this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090783
Magldr repartition(use 5 usb flasher) (390MB, 5MB cache)
Then 8 ad recovery>wipe data,cache partition,dalvik(advanced)
Then go to install zip from sd card
Choose zip from sd card (which you should have placed on the root of your sd card, using a card reader)
After installation,reboot.
Give it time.
Some ROMS take 15-20 minutes to install.
aha so if I repartition MAGLDR my device will be wiped an the CWM will be installed. the partition sizes that you suggested are for the rom (HD2 CoreDroid HD GB 2.3.3 V3) that I'm trying to install? (I cant yet post in their thread so can't ask them)
and if I can ask this particular rom can be installed only by partitioning and flashing it by sdcard or also in MAGLDR?

Can I put the .zip ROM in the SD card by connecting the phone before I start the whole process like I would put music on or does it have to be formatted and empty with only rom on it?

Hi,
Sd card does NOT need to be formatted.
It is best to put the new ROM onto the root of your sd card,USING A CARD READER.
This will avoid any data corruption.

Invalid bootimage header?!

Hey guys,
I hope you can help me.
I installed rom manager today and now I can't boot into recovery anymore via magldr..
If I try to start clockwork it says invalid bootimage header
Any way to fix this?
Please help me, I can't make backups etc without clockwork.
Reflashing clockwork mod will erase my current rom, won't it?
Thanks in advance for any help

not sure but sd-recovery method may help you to enter recovery. unrar attached file. copy folder to sd. in mgldr:services-boot settings-ad sd dir-find that folder.then you'll go to mgldr menu and choose ad sd. i hope this will send you to ad recovery so you can make a backup. (in mgldr dont use rom manager, it damages recovery)

LEO is still the king!
Thanks a lot, securecrt and Xylograph!
I What is "NativeSD"
As the name shows, the SD card now do what native storage do. In other words, we can leave the nand and done almost everthing with one SD card!
II Benifits of NativeSD
1. Common benifits
Don't need to worry about bad blocks in nand, no need to adjust system size。
2. On premise of large storage of SD card
The partition used as native storage can be very large duo to your SD card(<32GB).
Muilt ROMs(wm,wp,androids)
3. On premise of fast SD card
Faster Read/Write speed than NAND ROMs,better。
III Install ROM
1. Prepare
*1)Android rom that support NativeSD, cellphone(LEO,with SD card, battery>50%), computer,cable,4EXT recovery
*2)Backup all your data on SD card(if you want to keep it).
2.magldr users
1)This is the case that you download the SD version of 4EXT recovery.
copy the unziped files to you fold "a" in your SD card.("a" is just a sign, can be any name, just make sure the folder is in the root directory of SD card)Notice: please make sure these files are in the root directory of "a",not any sub folder:clcad.exe,haret.exe,initrd.gz,startup.txt,zImage
2)This is the case that you download and already install the nand version of 4EXT recovery.

NativeSD without flashing MAGLDR or cLK?
my background:
I use Android ICS and MIUI on Leo HTC HD2, booting from SD-Card using haret.exe in WM6.5.
I can't flash my device with MAGLDR or cLK, because it's leased and I have to return it back in some time with the original WM6.5.
Now my question:
Can I use native SD instead of "standart SD", because I hope it's faster, wihthout flashing any custom boot loader and destroing the original OS?
If I got it right, flashing a MAGLDR or cLK erases the complete device (except of HSPL and radio), right?
The only thing I dared to do before, was to flash the HSPL and a Radio Update, because this didn't touched the WM6.5.
I came so far to create a EXT4 and a FAT32 partitions on my SD-Card (32MB, Class 10) with "MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition 7.6". Then I downloaded the 4EXT Recovery and booted it from WM6.5 with haret.exe, but now I'm stucked.
All I got is, the 4EXT Recovery do the same job as this MiniTool. It makes partitions on my SD-Card.
I planed to install NexusHD2-JellyBean-4.1.2-CM10 V1.1 ROM as NativeSD, but I'm afraid I can't do this without flashing the MAGLDR or cLK and erasing the WM6.5
Any help?
thanks for the guide

OK, I helped myself. Thanks!
Partitioned the SD-Card with 4EXT-Recovery again. Created 2 EXT4 partitions 2 GB each, the rest (25 GB) goes for the FAT32 partition.
Then installed the "NexusHD2-JellyBean-4.1.2-CM10 V1.1 ROM".ZIP (was an AROMA installer) from FAT32 partition and it worked!
Altough it's all very slow and the second EXT4 partition is unused. don't know why the recovery aked my to create one.
"I What is "NativeSD"
As the name shows, the SD card now do what native storage do. In other words, we can leave the nand and done almost everthing with one SD card!"
I'm REALLY new here so this might be a naive question but does that mean we'll be able to run WM 6.5 and WP 7 in a dual boot configuration now? From what I've heard they can only be installed on the HD2's NAND leaving room for either or, but since you say that NativeSD can do whatever the native storage does I thought it might be possible to run them direct off the SD?
Thank you for this guide.

[Q] NAND backup restore after NativeSD installation

Hi everybody,
I have installed a NativeSD Rom and at the moment I have nothing on the NAND. I am trying to install the backup of my old NAND ROM on the NAND again, but when I choose the right backup file from MAGLDR Ad Recovery / install zip from sdcard / choose zip from sdcard, the system says: "CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.6 / No files found"!!!
I've checked the backup file and it has all the files (about 695MB)...
I have just tried to choose the NativeSD ROM file which I also have on the SDcard and the system accept it (of course I break the install process in this case)!
What I'm doing wrong? I'm just trying to restore the old ROM to NAND, so it should not interract with the NativeSD ROM...
Best regards,
Conrad

Hi to you,
I thought restoring backups had nothing to do with "install zip from sdcard"? Why are you going there?
*Re-reads your post again and tries to find another meaning to what you said*
Edit:
Hydroxyl, NOW I understand! You are doing it wrong
In order to restore a backup, the backup must be located in "/sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/" (That's for android 4.1.2 and earlier, don't know about 4.2). And you don't install it like any ROM.zip file. From the main menu of CWM, go to "Backup/Restore" .. then Restore .. then choose your backup. (provided it's in the aforementioned location).
