Is it possible to port the keyboard from the Arc to the X10? Has it already been done?
I'd really like to have a native Swype-like keyboard.

Hey guys, I prefer the HTC IME over the stock 2.1 X10 keyboard anyday. But one thing that I wish the HTC IME had was the scrolling feature thats on the X10 keyboard.
Does anyone know if there is any other keyboard that has that feature. OR can anyone mod the HTC IME to have the scrolling feature ?
Thanks
Would love to know that too.

Same here, I wish it has the arrow button version too.

speaking of arrows, does anyone know if we can put the evo keyboard on the x10? Like is there a apk for that?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=830772
try it out. i like it a lot, the arrangement might be a lil awkward at first but i find it perfect now.
Does this beta app expire or is swype for life and not just for xmas? Sorry for that.... Only thing I am missing is the smiley's from the stock keyboard, but this is a rapid input method. A good quality car wax helps screen swiping. Anybody dislike it?

swpe is way better than the stock keyboard from the x10
sadly the only prob I see is the fact of not being able to select easier a letter to delete it
I love swype but it is not as great on the X10's rudimentary touchscreen.

Well the clearpad 2000 (?) just isn't very good. It often loses track of your finger which results in far more errors than you would otherwise have on a more potent digitizer.

It's not a clearpad - it's a Cypress panel.
How do you use the microphone icon in Swype? Should I be able to press it then just speak?

Hello fellas, I was wondering if I could get some feedback based on people's experience on which could be the best alternative keyboard for an x10?
I'm using the default one with wolfbreak 6.0s and it is laggy for ne most of the time.
All suggestions would be really appreciated, thanks in advance!

Swype beta rocks. Using it on WB 6.0. Doesn't seem to be many issues.

I like Swype and also swiftkey x
I use Swype Beta... And its working pretty well... The only thing, is when it is your first time using it, you are going to find it a bit difficult... But when you get used to it, you are going to type fast...
Ahhh I found out why the keyb was lagging! I just tried removing prediction and autocorrects and now this is blazing fast!
But anyway, I would like to try something new just to see how's better!

Maybe I'll give SwiftkeyX another go, but I did try it on my X10 (had it free from an Amazon promotion) and found it not as good as Thumbs.
SwiftKey X is the shizz! Worth the money!

I'm currently using perfect keyboard. Nice alternative to the android keyboard.
Stock Gingerbread keyboard.
Now this is a very interesting OS for Arc S.
Installed it and it gave me 422mb of free RAM, very unique and beautiful was the UI and setup guide.
As mentioned the camera, bluetooth & FM were not working, but so was the back button. The reason I had to uninstall it was sheer lack of apps (understandably) and even when connected to wi-fi browser was not opening any pages.
But with such a refreshing look and feel would request developers to get it for Arc S as it is very refreshing.
i will macke FQA and i think there will be beter to discus about firefox os ;D
Back button is not supposed to work.

I'm using SwiftKey. The best one for me.
I use Swype and love it. it's easy to use the options to correct your word if it's wrong are the best I've found, they have multiple colored keyboards for your preference. The Swype option takes some getting used to but I can't imagine typing with two hands, and it's way faster. Just my two cents
