I flashed overcome p7500 v2.0.0 hc 3.2 rom recently and i noticed that if you rotate your device while watching a video (not in fullscreen mode) it starts to buffer again. I didnt have this issue with previous rom (overcome 1.2.3). It probably has nothing to do with overcome's version of the rom but just incase can someone confirm that this happens also in the stock hc 3.2 rom for p7500. If it's only on overcome rom someone should report that sine i cant post on development threads yet.

I have pure stock 3.2 and I have the same result. Any rotation restarts the video.
Please check if the resolution of the video is the same before and after rotating...
Check if the HD is option is enabled before and after.
If that changes then that's the reason you've got to buffer again

can you check in Settings --> Apps --> Youtube if you can downgrade version/uninstall updates?
Maybe the new update got this bug (it's not happening to me, cause i'm still on 3.1)

Today I have tested TV-out of SGS JVK 2.3.3 and there was not any clear picture. It looked like an analog TV having trouble.
Hi, is there any news about this?
I found discussion on Darky's forum, but i could't find any solution.

Subtitles with TV-Out are not working (Gingerbread)
Description: When using TV-Out, subtitles are not displayed at the TV as expected. Worked in Froyo versions.
Originally discussed:http://www.darkyrom.com/community/index.php?threads/tv-out-in-v10-1-10.3154/
Fix/Workaround: Currently there seems to be none.

This is not ROM releted bug. It doesn't work for me on any stock or custom Gingerbread rom, but works fine on FROYO.
Has anyone found a solution, or is there any indications that samsung is aware of this?
no problem for me
Yes ,in any gingerbread Rom ,darky 10 ,110.1 ,base Romes , ... Ive installed the problem exists.
And the problem is when you play a video in hardware mode with any program ,subtitle and menus wont be shown on Tv screen while they are on phone's screen at the same time.
I hope some manager at least confirme this problem
same problem here

If you have Netflix installed you must clear data and uninstall
www.mediafire.com/?c8go2926nljiydh
Have to create an account (temp) to download - Forget it!
Here is the correct link www.mediafire.com/?c8go2926nljiydh

In case anyone stumbles here and doesn't know, Netflix officially supports all 2.2 and 2.3 devices.
The new update (pushed to me in the UK 9/10/11 has forced the stock browser and Dolphin browsers to Mobile. Changing to any other setting in the browser setting has no effect. I has similar problems with various ROM updates on the Galaxy S last year with the same bug. Does anyone know of a fix? If not can I downgrade back to the previous ROM without rooting?
thanks
I see this issue also in the UK
There's a fix by Roach for Prime rom but it may be incompatible with stock.

Just Tried Opera, it went to the desktop version of bbc.co.uk a couple of times, but now it just goes to the mobile site... so not sure what the hell is happening! User Agent still set to desktop
Also , I couldn't get opera to play any flash content either. I have flash enabled in its advanced options, and I have tried "Enabled" and "Click to Play". It doesn't matter which I try , a big play symbol appears where the flash should be, but when you click it dissapears and nothing happens.
Any Ideas?

Yes, Prime is based on latest OTA (and always is) and personally I don't see a reason to stay with stock.
The fix we're talking about is included in cumulative 2.0.3 patch, found in the Prime thread.
Do not try to install the fix on rom any other than Prime (including stock) because it contains rom-specific framework files. Instead, follow the instructions to install Prime 2.0.1 and update to 2.0.3 and you'll get a smooth, stable, solid rom in addition to just fixing user agent stuff.

1)So are there no problems at all with this ROM? Did I hear there are some problems with some apps with de-oxed ROMS?
2) Can I do with any version of transformer? Does it have to be Non 3g or 3g, what revision..... I keep reading about other revisions of TF101.
3) Do I need root....or will I get Root?
TIA

The BBC web site is notorious for using the mobile version of their site.
What I did was scroll to the bottom, select preferences and when the next window opened I looked down for where it says "Desktop Version ~ Same version of the site you will find on your PC". I clicked on "Get this" and it then opened the BBC site in Desktop version.

1. I don't find any problems using what's in my sig. Fast, stable, battery efficient. Everything is running as expected and I use quite a lot - 112 apps installed.
2. I believe you can do it with any version of transformer, excluding those with late B70 or any B80+ part number, see a bunch of threads about this.
3. Depends; you can root first and then flash custom rom using CWM, or you can straight use NVFlash version and you'll get root right away. (Assuming your transformer is rootable, see #2).
so if i go to cm7 rom or ics rom, the amazon firmware update thingy will dissappear? is it a seperate thing? so when i install the ics rom, it just becomes a android device and no more amazon stuffs? because im afraid that amazon will update their firmware and prevent root access permenately. so i really want to move on to different rom quick before they update again.
and also
is the ics rom working nicely?
only video and sound not working?
ive heard that they didnt fix the notification thingy or the landscape mode bug, wifi turned on makes the clock 1008mhz.
and i really want bluetooth support and volume button at the bottom so that you can adjust easier .

Hi, since the latest experimental versions up to 3.1, I get screen tearing in the while watching videos
The last version where this didn't happen was Aurora 3.0 beta2 update1b.
Is there any way to fix this?(I don't know how to turn v-sync on on ICS)
Thank you.

I have this too... I hope dzo fixes this issue. It should be kernel related since it appeared with martin.update patch at it exists at 3.1 too. You can notice many glinches at the UI while opening apps, rotating the screen or openning the menu dialog!
Cheers

it can be caused by the unlocked fps
if screen cant handle it , then you will have tearing
So I guess there is no way to turn v-sync on/lock fps?

I use the kernel from beta2_update2 and those glinches where gone without noticing any problems yet. Try to copy the boot.img at your .cust_backup/image folder and replace the existing one.
