hey guys, i got a koran gal tab 10.1 prob is that i cant download any tegra zone game.
It says it couldnt find the requested item and it just cancels the purchase.
Im not rooted. What could it be? Help please...
I found majority of it only works when you are in US. It's not about rooting. All those games are region restricted and do check your IP address to verify your geo-location.
even the free ones? -.-
Correct. Even the free ones. If you are not physically in US, you're out of luck.
which tegra games u fail to find?
all the free ones :-(
What Tegra zone app does is simply link to market to download the game. However, if you search those same games in the market directly, you will find them not available to your market. That's why it is failing to install. It has a lot to do with what market region your particular tab is restricted to (you can change that by mod your tab build properties IIRC) and what IP region you're from and what's the avalibility of those apps for that region. Mine is a US wi-fi tab. I tried to download those games in China and Japan last summer and none of them will download (same exact error as OP). When I returned to US, all of them worked.
try search "Galaxy on Fire 2 THD" and "Dungeon Defenders". they r free tegra games in android market. report if u still cant find them. use market instead of tegra zone app

I can confirm that when I was in China and Japan last summer, those two are not available in the market for my US wi-fi tablet.

Under the market is there supposed to be a
Featured Apps for Tablets, or Tablets apps section?
for whatever reason I do NOT see one, I am using an imported wifi model (from USA) here in Canada, is that why? any hack I can do
thanks
I guess what im asking for, is, is there some kind of MARKET ENABLER for the Xoom
I have an imported Xoom as well, I'm in UAE. But I was able to install that app you refer to, it's called Tegra Zone.
I was however unable to install many other free apps that should work, even Angry Birds and a few others. It says something like "It's not allowed on my operator" or something, though it's Wifi Xoom.
I'm wondering if Market Enabler, or Market Access would work on a rooted Wifi Xoom? It should break this kind of location barriers.
i can install everything, tegrazone shows tegra apps only
but theree supposed to be (so i hear) a section in the ANDROID MARKET called 'Features apps for tablet'
which i dont see
ur prob is odd..if ur wifi only u shud have no problems, try a new google account, maybe ur existing one is tied to a phone that is using an operator in UAE
I also don't see Featured apps for tablet in Market. I have a wifi only Xoom bought from US, i'm in EU.
If I search for honeycomb apps in Market, it finds them and I can install them just fine.
Maybe the Market just doesn't show Featured apps for tablet in other countries yet? As far as I know, there are no honeycomb tablets on sale in EU yet, so maybe they will update the Market when Xoom launces in EU?
Anyway we will see when european Xoom is released, if it will show the Featured apps for tablet. And if it does, then we probably can use the european rom at least on wifi only Xoom.

Sorry misunderstood you. I can only see the sliding banner and featured free apps (6 of them), some of which I can't even install!
PS. I was just able to install Angry Birds using a VPN connection in UK. Before, it used to say Item not found when it tries to install.
So try a VPN connection in the US, it should show Featured apps(?)
so can someone who owns a xoom IN THE USA
actually post here and be like 'yes there is actually a features tablet apps' section in the android market
Yes there is actually a featured tablet apps section in the Google Market - at least for U.S. customers...
Yep im in us snd there is a feautered tablet apps section. But it has only 57 apps listed. Searching for honeycomb is a much better result.
have you tried via the browser market?
I can verify that when I was in the states I had the featured apps for tablets section. As soon as I flew out it disappeared. Very short sighted and stupid. If nothing else there should also be an option to filter tablet apps in the online market.
The screwy incompetence of big businesses with multiple minds working together is a constant source of wonder to me.

We need a feed that updates everytime a new tablet app appears in the market
its sad cause the wifi xoom is actually out in canada now..
unless they can see this too
but im just screwed cause I got a usa xoom working in canada
anyone who bought the xoom from canada can let me know if they see it?
I also can't get Google books etc.. usually market enabler by Rac would work but we have no GSM
Perhaps an modified vending.apk?
I bought my xoom wifi in Canada. I installed tegrazone and I can see the featured apps no problem. I don't see google books or google translate...
i purchased a wifi version and I am in Canada and though there is a featured apps section on the market, its not tablet only apps. It kind of useless.
Yea got mine in Canada Wifi only, and I see no tablet section. Just regular old market.
let's start posting names of the best tablet apps in here...
Monster madness
Btw all I see in the tegra zone is like 4 paid games, one free one and a bunch of coming soon... not a single app. No options either...

I have tegra zone on my atrix too
its only tegra devices nothing tablet specific
We are talking about "Featured apps for tablets" in Android Market. It seems it doesn't matter where you bought the Xoom, it shows the "Featured apps for tablets" only for people in US.

Has anybody been able to play spiderman, or modern combat2, or splinter cell because i cant?
First time i tried it gave me an error when downloading content. I found out that sammy has a download policy so this was a no go. I then installed them on my htc desire and downloaded all 3 above games and tested them and they all work. I copied yhe downloaded content to my samsung hoping that my problem was solved. But for my suprise spiderman and modern combat2 started but they still want to download content and of course it fails. Splinter cell on the other side started the game but when i am in it doesnt show me any textures of the environment and everything is white.
So please someone help me.
I have to mention that the games were bought from my carrier's webpage and they all work perfect on my htc desire.

Modern combat 2 works fine for me. I got it from their web site tho not gamehub If I remember

I've got them all and they all work flawlessly. I bought modern warfare from the market, bought the others through the discounted ads that appear in angry bird, leading you to but the games from their site.

Did you buy the games from your SGS2? I sent my apks to a friend and he had same problems.maybe the original phones are registered upon purchase such that the apk will not work on other phones

99% of apps you obtain via Google Market or Amazon App Store or Gameloft/third party, are locked to either your google account, amazon account, or your phone/imei.
I really don't want to mess up with forum rules here, so I ask, is it ok to post a link to another forum's thread with Android's HD game releases?

sure, go ahead, as long as you don't sell those apps yourself there or that site contains warez, you should be fine. in general, links to shops or other forums are tolerated or (if helpful) appreciated.
just a quick note...buy games from wap gameloft website and its cheaper then buying from market.android...
got mine there...asphalt 6, lets golf 2, real football 2011
And all those are in 241 section as well so dollar something each.

First of all... i've got those games working fine on my phone + GTracing which also works flawlessly.
Bought Modern Combat 2 through the gamehub, but bought the other 3 directly from Gameloft from the website.
And another thing. Gameloft has a download policy, that reads the specs and model of yout phone, so the game is locked to the phone - therefore it does NOT work on any other phone, if you try to move the .APK. So if you change your phone, you have to buy the games again. They give the reason that they have to develop the games specific for the phones, as Android and Android-hardware is very fragmented (in which they have a point), and that cost them a lot of money - opposed to iOS, which is the same on all iPhones - which apparently is cheaper to develop to.
You CAN buy some games from gameloft though - like Modern Combat 2 - on the market, and that will follow your future line of phones, but it is also more expensive in the market (about 40%), for the reasons explained above.
But the games is very cheap directly from the website (sometimes down to 1-1,5 Euro for the HD-games, when on sale), when you see what you get for the money - so i guess it's an allright policy in my opinion...
Via their tweet, which you can get here, they're doing Let's Golf for free for the next couple of hours. Unfortunately, it's apparently not compatible with the SGS2.
Just thought I'd let you guys know about it now anyway, as lots of us have other devices as well.

Sucks I know. But you can buy some of their other games for 99p instead of £3. I managed to purchase quite a few games at 99p.
Ironically it let me purchase Let's Golf 2 HD for 99p and the download filename had GTi9100 in the actual filename so it's utter rubbish it does not support this phone....

Yeah, I know. I reckon they've just not updated their site so that it recognises the phone as a valid device. If only I'd brought my tab with me!
i can't access the game in holland, I just get redirected to the mainpage

The freebies are for the UK only, for whatever reason.
There was a post somewhere earlier about the free games, and that explained that, but I can't find it due to the search currently being down.
Yesterday I bought my first game for the SGS2 and since I'm a huge fan of racing games... guess what is the tittle -> Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD from Gameloft.
And now the interesting part:
1) As you can see from the images below, in the Android Market on my PC there is this message: 'This item is not compatible with your device.' (The same is with N.O.V.A. 2).
2) Prices!!! Asphalt 6 HD in Android Market costs 4.92 euro (today is 4.89 ). BUT in the gameloft's web store it is only 3 euro. And the same is with all other games.
Strange and I wonder why are these differences
Starforce woks fine too.

The other day my friend was playing FIFA 10 and PES 2012 on his Asus Transformer. Since I like Soccer games I decided to go home and download it for my Acer. To my surprise the market failed to show these games. So I was like "ok, lets try from the online market" and purchased FIFA from there. Unfortunately when it starts and says to download the extra 1 gb it says "Device Incompatible". The Asus Transformer has exactly the same hardware as the Acer, so why is it incompatible? Whose fault it this? EA for failing to specify the Iconia as capable or Acer? Is there anyway of playing this game? Soon I began to realize that many such apps and games are possibly missing from the market for the Iconia even if it is powerful enough.
Cheers
EA likely hasn't tested the game on A500 and as such it's not marked as compatible. But the real fault here lies with Google: developers should not have to test for every single device out there, they should be able to define minimum hardware constraints and Android Market should then use that to filter the results instead.
Anyways, I am sorry but I do not know how to fix the issue. Perhaps someone smarter does.
What may work and has worked in the past for me on other devices is changing a setting in the build.prop, you may try getting a copy of his build.prop if possible and comparing it to yours in respect to the manufacture and device info. It used to be the same trick that got people their 50gb storage from box.com
You can change your build.prop to Asus under device id, or install one of thor's roms from tegraowners.com. Either way you have to be rooted. Caution though, most of the Gameloft games play on the Icaonia but will not play on the Asus for the same reason.
I bought games like NFS, Sim City Deluxe and others but cant seem to put on the Tab 7.7 and I know its compatible pls help. Does it have something to do with the region. I got the HK Version
Could be compatibility. NFS cannot run on 7.7. Downloaded from Samsung Apps and only see white blocks when running.
Both NFS and Sim City Deluxe are reported to me as incompatible with both my Galaxy Tab 7.7 and Galaxy S II when I look in Market on the web.

Dead trigger is now free from google play store. According to below:
http://www.theverge.com/2012/7/23/3177238/dead-trigger-free-android-piracy-rate
Yeah i know. i bought it two weeks ago..........
Part of the piracy size is due to games not being "Compatible" I would imagine. There were loads of games that just wouldn't show up in my country and I found this frustrating.
lol! At least i only lost 0.99!
I'm glad the Tegra 3 fix discovered the lie!
Serves them right for only allowing tegra devices (and ios) to have high graphics settings despite the fact that the s3 could run them too.

Use the market enabler app, it worked for me, i bought dead space for £4.99 on my evo 3d, then when i came to get it for my s3, it wasn't available? Lol.
Market enabler worked, apparently it's available in the states and it's now available here too for the s3.
Play store is a strange place, it's always changing.
