Long overdue, here's the pictures of the insides of an XDAII we took a while ago. If you click the images, you get the original version. The originals can be up to 1.5 MB a piece.
Any tips on opening up one of these beasts, I have to do a motherboard transplant and dont wish to destry 2 machines in the process, any advice greatly appreciated.
Any tips on re-connecting that ribbon cable for the LCD screen? I tried everything to get those little spring loaded pokey things under the retainer clip but couldn't. Ended up breaking the retainer. So I just stuck a piece of film negative in there to hold it down. Not really professional, but that connector is a *****. What were they thinking?!?!
A while ago, I published a graphical step-by-step procedure to fix the a speaker problem on MDA2, i-Mates, Qtek2020, etc, etc...
I created a spanish and an english version, but somehow I forgot where I published the english version...
But you can check the spanish version here...
It's very straightforward since the pictures have illustrations so I'm sure you will get the idea just by looking at the pictures...
Good luck!
the 14th pad of my XDA2 is miss.
I wanna solder 14th pad of connector with test pad.
Can you help me to measure the test pad for pin 14 ?

Hi gays!...
Please note that you can't change parts between XDA II and MDA II.
The PCB and screen are different between those models.
Note that the screen on the MDA II is different than XDA II. MDA II screen's back light is much darker than of the XDA II.
Hello XDA,
I was in a bind with a broke phone and had to purchase this one. Unfortunately I am thinking that this was not a good idea as with this phone I can't seem to get it on a network higher than Edge. No 3G or LTE.
Does anyone know if the 5006 is different with the hardware or should I just try an custom ROM?
Any help is appreciated as I can't seem to find anything on the 5006 model of the Note 3

Sorry i missread your post for the N9006 initialy, try to get your money back from the shop if they sold it to you as a Note 3.
Hi guys, I'm in a bit of a pickle and would appreciate any help .
Background:
I bought a used i9505 off of eBay that had a broken speaker and fast batter drain. Turns out jokes on me and the motherboard had water damage (the indicator on the inside of the frame was purple). So I decided to replace the motherboard and bought a new one on eBay, that was set with an IMEI of 00/01. Now I've got the new board installed and FW 4.4.2 running on it.
Question:
How do I get my IMEI from my old motherboard to the new one? Is that possible? I've been googling for hours now and found that the only way to do it is to use Super IMEI box/STP boxes. Is there a away to do it without it? I guess there's no easy way of just entering it somewhere eh?
Ps.: The old motherboard runs, so technically i have complete access to it.
Thanks for the help!
Restoring old EFS on your new phone's board is a very bad idea. Really...
The less you will obtain is an unbootable pretty doorstop, besides it's illegal...
IMEI is unique to each phone, so tecnically, you have a new phone

I thought I needed a valid IMEI to make calls and use the network? But I just tried placing a call using the Vodafone internet and it all seems to work. Sorry for the Noobish question, but what is the IMEI then good for? If everything works fine I don't need to get my old one back at all then.
I guess the new board came with one too
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Free mobile app
IMEI numbers are used by operators to register your phone on it's network.
Think abut it as the unique fingerprint identyfing your phone
got a question too: how did you install the new board? just screwed the old one out, put the new one in and connected all flex cables? would be very nice to know :good:

I don't know why people don't answer simple instead of telling other thing, you can try Qualcomm Product Support Tools (QPST) and ChimeraTool. I didn't tried QPST with I9505 but works fine I9305 version of qualcom. Google provides several articles for QPST...
Please, my SM-N900 Motherboard is toast, and i want to replace it, but i really would prefer SM-N9005 because of the LTE.

I just bougth a replace for my motherboard, I have a N9005, and they send me a mother for a N900 (damn!), wich I just have installed, and... it´s not working!.-
Does anyone have tried this before?! I'm pretty sure there must be another component that is not compatible, but I´ll be glad to hear that someone already tried this, because I´m not sure if the "new" mother is fried too.-

Doesnt work and i ahve got N9005 instead of N900 need n900 can someone help where can i find
SM-N9005 16GB with SM-N9005 32GB board?
My 64,000 Question is if I can change my SM-N9005 16GB board (HK) with the SM-N9005 32GB board (unknown) ?
The LCD frame is different with N900 and N9005. This is the surface where the board sits. Protrusions of each board are different so first of all the board won't physically fit the LCD frame. Second the USB flex is different but could easily be replaced had the board fit properly. If you have the skills you can replace the LCD frame but it's very very involved process as you have to separate the LCD unit without cracking it. I really wouldn't advise it if it's you first time.

This will fit. N9005 is one type of board regardless of capacity.
If remember correctly N9005 uses a different rear camera than N900 which look identical. You may need a rear camera, also the usb flex, antenna cable and rear housing that has the n9005 antennas.

May be it‘s too late for this answer but, by the way I've replaced an SM-N9005 32 gb (UK) with an SM-N9005 16 gb (HK) and worked ok. No problem.:good::good:
I was fortunate enough to get stock oem Samsung tab s7 nibs after lot of searching almost every possible samsung official showroom & electronic market.
Grey & white
Hard & soft nibs
Much better than after market 3rd party nibs from china or ubrokeifixit.
But a bit little costlier than aftermarket nibs.
From
Delhi, India
Do these come with rubber tips like the original? Also, where di you get them?

I can confirm nibs from all other Samsung Galaxy Note S-Pens / mobile devices fit and work perfectly.
I have been using various left over nibs from Galaxy Notes 8 thru 20 with no issues.
I actually use the GNote 10 S-Pen Stylus more than I use the tablets S-Pen for some odd reason.
Amazon usually sells 5 for 5 bucks or so.

There is no purchase link buddy, sorry.
I contacted a person who works in samsung for these nibs, as i was also frustrated searching them everwhere on the planet.
Somehow he managed to get these nibs for me by charging me extra money.
But this extra money doesn't matter if you get original samsung nibs set.

I used the tips from my old galaxy tab S3 stylus...they work also without a problem!
I use also the stylus from my Tab S3 on my tab S7+...my Tab S7 stylus seems to loose charge rather quickly, the old stylus does not require charging!

Google. Have you found them somewhere? Anywhere?
EDIT: I just did another cursory (sanity) check, and I don't see anything that looks particularly promising.
