i was using android build but last night, when i tried to install htc stock rom it installed successfully but after wards it cant boot.when ever i boot my phone..htc green logo appears but NO system info(at down left corner red coloured).it stucks at that screen only.i tried hard reset.but it successfully reset the phone.but the problem remains same..please help.
Sound like you got a bad flash, down load the rom and reinstall it
Try restarting the phone holding volume down + power. Then when in bootloader, reinstall stock rom.
Finally, reinstall the rom you wanted.

I don't think it's an hardware problem.
Can you try a task29 before flashing the Rom?

actually I have heard that middle battery pin creats problem. ...btw I have tried task 29 too,but no luck.
Well, this happened to me once. For some reason stock roms don't play well when you come from android install. What you have to do is, get a custom wm6.5 rom from development forum (nrg roms seem to work well for me) and then install it. It should boot fine, install stock HTC rom now if you like.
Hope this helps

How is flashing done? I'm looking all over the place to fix a boot error and everyone says flash stock rom, but i don't know how to do that. Can anyone help?
I have a tmous hd2 and I've tried
RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.43.405.1_Radio_Signed_15.26.50.07U_2.04.50_22_2_Ship
and
RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship
Don't know what I'm doing wrong.
i think ..you are not using correct rom for your phone.download 3.14 stock roms ..hope that would work.installing stock rom is nothing..but just connect your device in bootloader mode and run the exe rom file you have downloaded.thats it!
is there any one who can solve my problem..plese.
Try installing the stock rom specific to your phone (the correct region, TMOUS,Euro, etc)
by using the sd card method.
1. Download the rom
2. Rename the ruu.exe file's extention to .zip
3. Extract the file with the extention .nbh
4. Rename that file to LEOIMG.nbh and place it at the root of a 4Gb or smaller sd card
5. Put the card in your HD2 and boot into bootloader by holding the Volume-down button while booting up
6. Follow any on-screen prompts to flash the rom.
7. Reboot when finished
Hopefully by flashing this way, your problem with hanging at the splash screen will be solved.
You will have to re-install HSPL though, flashing from sd card removes it.
i tried stock rom europe for my hd2 but still same problem.it installs rom correctly..but hangs at boot..no system information..
my friend told me that you will have to replace your motherboard.is it true??or should i send this device for jtag unbrick.

im just downloading the rom for you now so i can extract the framework, if you pull your battery out, you can either plug in your charger while its off, this will bring up recovery, or while its off, hold vol down and press power, that will take you to bootloader, and just pick recovery from the list, now when in recovery, if you navigate to the mounts and storage menu, choose the option mount usb storage, you can now connect to a pc as a disk drive and copy stuff to your sd card
im having trouble uploading attachments to xda at the min dya want me to upload it to megaupload for you?
AndroHero,
Thank you for helping me out. I didn't know about the vol down press power option which allows you to acces the sd card and intall a new rom. I had the revolution rom 2.0.9 already. It's installing as we speak. Much thanks for the tips!
To early hooray. I choose the option with the revolution zip for a complete install. After the install I selected rebouut system now. Now it stays on the white HTC screen with the text HTC quitely brilliant. Flashing every 3 seconds or so....
What to do now?
Everything is resolved. revolution is up and running again. I had to un the fullwipe.zip and that did it!
THANKS a lot for all the tips....again

Did you do a full wipe before re-flashing your ROM? even if you did just repeat the process , full wipe /cache, /dalvik-cache, /system and then re-flash the rom fingers crossed it should work

Could it be possible that you installed cwm 3005 and tried a restore with that. I had the same problem. Went back to cwm 2.5.x and then restore worked.

I think there will be a lot of scare because of this CWM 3x...
Same happened to me the other day, stupidly accecpted the update prompt from Rom Manager, did my backup and went to install Cyanogen 6... Got stuck at HTC logo next boot.
Thankfuly, had Leedroid 2.0 on the SD, too, and that one flashed properly
Thing is that when I try to downgrade the Recovery to 2.5x I get an error and really can't be bothered with ADB pushing stuff around, so using Cyanogen 7 for the time beeing
Anyhow, CWM 3.x is likely your problem, easy to fix ^^
Wanting to change my theme on the Samsung spica I had theexact problem on cyanogen mod. Had to redo the whole rooting and installing the Rom again to get to work.

yes, is some script...back to recovery 2.x

So after getting tired of that and having to hard reset everyday i eventually flashed TMOUS stock rom then after tried to do the magldr 113 isntall. I got magldr installed on my phone and then i choose the ad recovery. When i do i get this message "no boot source". I tried looking up on these forums and can't find anything to fix my problems. Someone please help me with a step-by-step guide. I don't want to own an hd2 running the crummy wm6.5 :/ I NEED ANDROID

do this...depending on the recommended recovery size (typically 5-150-5 for non sense versions) download a recovery from here ..then restart you phone...go into magldr...go to flasher...once the usb is linked to pc run daf.exe from the recovery (extracted folder)...u will then have recovery installed

Great ! I will try it out as well. I have been getting this error for the last few times. I am not sure why this happened.
I installed a WP7 rom and then went back to android (hopeless battery drain with my SD card ... not sure if I can ever do something about that). I could not get back to AD recovery.
Thanks again !

If you loaded WP7 it may have locked your SD Card - need to format in a Nokia phone. Or reduced the usable size to 200mb - this can be fixed with a partitioning tool from PC
when go back and forth between WP7 and Android the nand is overwritten ... thats why you loose your AD recovery.
REMEMBER - if you ever try WP7 and come back to Android dont forget youll need to task 29 (to clean out that nasty M$ dirt!), flash magLDR, flash recovery ( i usually stick with a 200 mb partition, as i usually run Hyperdroid, AND that way there are no worries about bad blocks), and then the rom.
although its not NECESSARY its recommended buuuut to avoid weird restarts, FCs, and any other random glitches that may occur down the short road ITS NECESSARY! :-D
good luck
hello everyone! I just installed android on my HTC HD2 successfully but when the phone reboot, shows me the MAGLDR says me that android booting from start and I have to setup android everytime I reboot the phone from the start. someone help me passing this step. thankyou in advance
Hi,
I ve done my research on the forum and also in the internet and there seems to be little about the problem I have encountered.
Basically Ive used the nand installer toolkit to flash hspl and magldr but as soon as I try to flash cwm the phone does the flashing and then gets stuck when it says "reset now...!"
I have tried clk as well as trying to flash cwm the old way. I also did task29 and tried to revert back to stock winmo6.5 (using LEOIMG method through SD card) but get stuck on HTC logo.
Anyone got any suggestions as to what to try next?

try to download the original 6.5 rom from htc.com and install it through PC. Have you tried this way?
have you tried using HD2 TOOLKIT,can't rate it highly enough
Also you may need to delete all partitions on the SD card reformat it as, Fat 32 primary partition
Go to ad recovery... it might already got installed... even though its stuck

Hey
Thanks for the replies.
Ye I've used toolkit but still the same result. I tried the old recovery (through copying files SD card) still don't work.
When I reboot and try ad recovery I get 1E FATAL HIT 1..
Magldr won't install when i have hspl 3.03 at all I have to go back to 2.08 to get it working.
I'm gonna try installing the original rom but I need the virgin rom.
Could I be that I need a gold card even if my device is unlocked?
never mind ..
Bump 10char
Anyone got any solutions? Just wondering if anyone knows how to find out how to check warranty.
hi guys .. i have HTC Desire HD it was working very well on version 2.3.3 then i decide to downgrade it to 2.2 so i can get root + recovery by following this guide :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152233&highlight=downgrade
i followed the instruction EXACTLY as it was posted after i get to bootloader and i made the update the phone restart and died for almost 5 mints then it switched on HTC logo and keeps vibrating for 2 mints then it works normally .
each time i switch it off it needs 5 mints to turn on after that it keep vibrating as i have said even i cant go to bootloader mode (by pressing volume down + power ) but only with terminal command or by using Ultimate Multi Tool .
by the way :- my phone is 2.2 + S-Off + recovery .
Install rom manager and flash recovery again. Then try and flash a new rom.

I think the problem is that you are using stupid fonts on the forum haha
Erm, try and use a full wipe script, look in the Android Revolution thread.
Probably a corrupt bootloader, maybe try flashing it again?

no need to use those words man ,,, i tried full wipe by using this FULL_WIPE_1.5_EXT4_.zip
wipe it, Reflash and maybe re-root!
re
Just the bootloader...
I had a similar problem when I tried to root and flash ROM's on to mine.
In the end I started the whole process again. I went right back to the beginning as if my phone wasn't rooted. It seemed to work, I don't know but maybe first time round I made a stupid mistake and was a little more careful on my second run.
Anyway, I would suggest re-rooting your phone, then flashing a ROM again. I know it's long but sometimes it's the only way!
Good luck!
To op.
I would recomend using ROM Manager from market, and from there, flash Clockwork Recovery (CWM).
I don't know what recovery or what rom you have tried, but i could point you in the direction of a CM7 rom (Cyanogenmod) or something like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=840040 . That might do the trick..
Hi all,
My wife has a desire HD and earlier in the year I did the root so she could have a different rom on. Everything went fine, and then last month we tried MIUI. She loves the phone and the ability to change roms, but here's the problem.....the volume down button has stopped working
First I thought it could just be dirt, but after carefully removing the silver rocker switch and cleaning it, it's definately a fault button on the circuit board. It's under warranty, but obviously we will need to return it to factory stock condition.
To make matters worse, we don't have any backups
I have tried the RUU files but they don't work. Even if I download a stock rom and try the clockworkrecovery it keeps saying BAD IMAGE
Without being able to get into the recovery (holding the volume down button) do we basically have an expenive door stop now
Thanks for any help you can give!
I never flashed a stock rom before, but it's surely not through clockworkrecovery.
Download the latest rom for example, from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1382928
Install HTC Sync from the htc website and install the rom from the pc, while phone is synced.
Can you connected to HTC Sync with non-Sense based ROM?
may be,u can use rom manager to boot to cwm recovery.

Every single ROM since we installed MIUI keeps saying BAD IMAGE
the problem is complicated but the solution is quite simple head here http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/HTC_Ace:_Support_Downloads and download the stock images then follow this steps:-
1. place it at the root of your sdcard as "PD98iMG.zip"
2. use any app you like to boot in bootloader not the recovery
3. it will automatically serach and ask for update press vol up to confirm
4. after reboot you will have stock and NO ROOT
5. then install HTC SYNC on your pc and then try the RUU of your choice it will work
