what's best real media video player?

hello guys,
what's the best video player software in your opinion for playing .rm .rmvb real media video files on windows mobile 5, htc prophet?
THANKS!

Slow playback on Coreplayer but not on WMP

When I convert my vids to mp4 with MP4forHD and play it on Core Player. The framerate is too low to watch the vid. But when I play it on WMP it runs fine. So I was wondering if my settings on Core Player is wrong or Core Player doesn't work that well on Touch HD.
Also will Core player work better when I put a other ROM on the touch HD, I am still using the HTC ROM.
Ow BTW, I am converting the vids with these settings.
Video Codec: x264 2 pass
Quality: Normal
usely (800x480)
Audio Bitrate: 96 kbps
wmp
As it's said all over the forum only Windows Media Player and HTC Album use some kind of hardware acceleration that CorePlayer doesn´t use in current version. I also heard some people telling that he actually made it worked but from my experience WMP o HTC Album are just fine.
Hope it helps.

Which media software is better to watch movie in X1??

anyone can post out the media software to watch x1?? i want it performance smooth n doesnt hv delay..thx
Million plus first reply for this topic:
Built-in media player is the best, since it is the only one (well, together with WM player) with full HW support.
Next best would be core player, with partial HW support. But generally you can't play any one CD AVI fluently.
Yes, you must recode the movie into mp4. Simple tool for that is described in this sticky thread:

Just use coreplayer and you dont have to convert
what abt flv movies? i cant seem to get tcpmp nor core player to play flv movies.. anything else is fine..
core player plays some flv movies
which version? i got the 1.30 version and it kept giving me errors..
depends on FLV codec version

The installed video player

I've been searching for a great video player for the TMO TP2 but some don't do it for me. Is there a way to set the installed video player that plays the Youtube to play all video including streaming. It might not have all codes to handle every media type but maybe there is a hack or cab to solve this waste of a great player.
Yea i love that player too. the only way i can watch the movies on my media card with that player is by going into the media album and when i open a video from there it uses the youtube player. would love to watch streaming videos with it as well.
How do I get to the other video player? Everytime I open a video file it opens with wmp. Ive been searching for a free good video player to play all my files.

Windows Media player Vs Coreplayer

Hey everyone.
Wanted to find out if Coreplayer is worth buying for the HD2? Currently just installed myplayer app and forced to switch the player to WM player but wondering if the quality of streaming or video playback is better in coreplayer?
I'm not too fussed right now about codecs and functionality although no doubt I will be in a few weeks when i dont have a codec for a video but I'm wondering if there are any improvements in purely video quality only in coreplayer compared to WM player?
Thanks

hey dude...i have both installed and i have few dvd that i have ripped onto my phone by using spb mobile dvd. I have viewed videos through both players...and they both works fine and could not tell any difference, however what i have noticed is the buttons on coreplayer are more responsive, for instance you could fast forward a track or video easily rather than the WM player
i hope that helps
The main advantage i have found with coreplayer is watching internet TV streams. These seem to sun much smoother.
for the best performance/video quality its best to recode video to MP4 and use the htc album player to watch the movie/documentary about maggie thatcher (or whatever source you have)
The main disadvantage of the CorePlayer is a lack of AC3 sound codec compatibility.
When you open a movie with sound in AC3 - it just won't play.

And WMP plays AC3 fine?
To me Coreplayer seems to be way faster, plus it plays most videos without converting.. wmp does not play any of my avis..
