I was reading the update post by sprint and was woundering what airrade is? The only mention I have seen of it was in the post with the person complaining about data speed.

Its this mini cell phone tower that you pay monthly for so it can leech off your wifi to give you better cell service.

Not necessarily pay monthly for. I am only paying like $2 a month difference in taxes because ut has to add a line on your account.

I heard that the Nexus S 4g is coming to Sprint and I'm interested in trading my Samsunv Epic for it. Can I sell my Samsung Epic and use the money to buy the Nexus S 4G without cancelling the contract. Thanks for your help.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Not unless you have a phone to use before you sell the Epic.
Texted while driving
There are multiple lines on my account. Does that count?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
No. There needs to be a phone on every line.
Texted while driving
Yes I have that
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
You're not understanding, you can't take a phone (in this case the Epic) off your line unless you have a phone to replace it at that very moment.
Texted while driving
what he's saying is:
If you sell your Epic, the phone will have to be deactivated from your account first. The only way to do that if you are on a contract is to replace the Epic with another phone so that line doesn't incur early termination fees.
Your options are
1: buy the Nexus first, activate it to your Epic line and then sell your Epic
2: if you have an old sprint phone lying around that is no longer in use then activate that on your Epic line, sell your Epic and then buy the nexus and replace your old throw away phone.
Wait I can have two phones on one line?

What I did when I sold traded my touch pro for the seller's touch pro 2 on craigslist was completed the phone transaction then and there on the spot. I told the sprint agent that me and my friend wanted to exchange phones and they help us complete the transaction with any early termination fees.
Wow now I realise how fortunate I am that I use gsm. Sim cards for the win.

Yes its possible i did it when I traded my evo for the epic. Both partys went to a sprint store and the rep there did the swap.

Only problem is used Epic's aren't selling for crap these days, you will have a large margin to cover when you buy the Nexus at full (no contract) price.
But heck, if you find someone willing to pay well for an Epic see if he wants two of them I'd like to move to the nexus as well.
Edit: it looks like the nexus S will only be $400 off contract...so we might be able to get close to that. Hmmm...decisions decisions.
PM me your email and i'll email you my referral information. Nothing wrong with a little discount just in time for the Evo 3D. As with anything PLEASE READ!!!!!!!! A discounted rate plan could possibly be cheaper then a referral plan.
To clarify only existing referral customers can use this. So it must be a new account or a referral account wanting to add a line.

how is this any different from walking into a RS, BB, or Sprint Store and opening a new line? Are we going to save some money?

For example the everything data 450 jumps to 500 for 59.99 a month. On family plans there's the everything data 1600 for 109.99 a month, additional lines are 14.99 not 19.99.

I would but for some odd reason I get my full upgrade for the Evo 3D until the end of the month even tho I'm not "Gold" for my membership...

Sounds alot like employee referral plus plans aka new sero. Anyone can do this by using Russ.s.mcguire's email and sprint employee number, 383 I think. He posted it up on a blog for everyone to enjoy sprint.

carriers actually compete for lower prices in the uk, not see who can come up with the ****tiest plans
Just left sprint for at&t. You would have to give me a free gs3 to sign another 2 years with them and even then I probably wouldn't do it. Worst. Data network. Ever.

But best data plans. Ever. lol My wife kept going over on her ****ty AT&T plan, so it was actually cheaper for her to cancel and join my Sprint plan. And data speeds are A-ok over here at the wonderful world of Wimax ;D tho can't wait for LTE

Ya unfortunately I didn't get wimax in my city. 3G I was getting .2-.6 mbs. For me unlimited data is worthless at those speeds. I'm on Wi-Fi 90% of the time, but when I'm not somewhere with Wi-Fi I get 10mbs.

No they will not charge you more. Unless you used a upgrade and had unlimited data they will now switch you to a shared data plan which might cost you more depending on your data habits. But if you bought it on your own and are just doing a phone swap they will not charge you more.

No, I highly doubt you will have to pay more. I know that with AT&T they call it an LTE plan even if you don't have access to LTE.
Hello , I've been using the sip/VoIP on my nexus with my phones Sim card ,I'm on grandfathered data plan, just wondering has anyone noticed any issues in billing or other charges for using this? Is there anything else I should know? I have been searching online weather it is illegal or not and cannot come up with anything.

Not sure if it helps but from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2036344, looks like you get charged data rate for sending sms, guessing voip/sip calls would charge data rate as well since only gsm calls with get deducted from your calls quota.
As far as any legal problems, I never heard of any such things, but it pays to check with some1 that knows ur country's local laws just to be on the safe side
