Price difference - Networking

I have an iPhone 4 at the moment. I just ordered a galaxy nexus, and would like to hook it up to my current line, but I am not sure if I could get 4g on it , without paying more. If I don't, could I still get 3g? Thanks

You shouldnt have to pay more. Who's your carrier?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app

Which carrier?

Verizon

No they will not charge you more. Unless you used a upgrade and had unlimited data they will now switch you to a shared data plan which might cost you more depending on your data habits. But if you bought it on your own and are just doing a phone swap they will not charge you more.

oppisite
They do the exact oppisite where we live, they charge the crap out of you seeing we are one of the most expensive countries in the world when it comes to cellular everything for that matter

Kk thanks . How would I do a phone swap exactly exactly ? Thank you

Just talk to customer care and ask them to put this on your line.

I believe I need to go in and get a sum though

No, I highly doubt you will have to pay more. I know that with AT&T they call it an LTE plan even if you don't have access to LTE.

carriers actually compete for lower prices in the uk, not see who can come up with the ****tiest plans
Just left sprint for at&t. You would have to give me a free gs3 to sign another 2 years with them and even then I probably wouldn't do it. Worst. Data network. Ever.

But best data plans. Ever. lol My wife kept going over on her ****ty AT&T plan, so it was actually cheaper for her to cancel and join my Sprint plan. And data speeds are A-ok over here at the wonderful world of Wimax ;D tho can't wait for LTE

Ya unfortunately I didn't get wimax in my city. 3G I was getting .2-.6 mbs. For me unlimited data is worthless at those speeds. I'm on Wi-Fi 90% of the time, but when I'm not somewhere with Wi-Fi I get 10mbs.

If it is the 16gb make sure it is not thru Tmobile. People are purchasing thru TMO for $199 or even that last deal they had where it was for $50 or free I think. After they sell it then they wait a week or 2 and report it lost, stolen and TMO will block the IMEI.

Let's say that after a month or 2 you don't want the device and want to sell it, you will have a better chance of selling it to able to use on att, tmo, simple etc.

Assuming the seller doesn't have insurance on the phone:
What would this seller gain by reporting it stolen? He's still gonna have to pay the early termination fee.

I think it's easier to assume the seller does have insurance, especially on a two day old phone with plans of doing a scheme.
it's also easy to assume the seller may prefer the phone he was using before the n4, change the SIM, no etf

That's assuming he/she pays the etf. Some won't and could care less about their credit. Seller could be selling an already stolen phone and banking on getting rid of it before iemi is blacklisted.
I've also heard people use fake info to sign up for a 2 year contract get phone then just stop paying

IMO, pay the $50 extra from one directly from Google. $300 sounds tempting but it could easily turn into 650

So I have this idea...

I was hoping to get some opinions on this idea since T-Mobile's coverage is pretty bad in my neighborhood. I'm thinking of porting my number to Google voice then pointing it to a Skype number and running it all through clear 4g for $50/mo unlimited with unlimited calling on Skype for $3/mo. Thoughts?

Depends on if you want to have a phone when you really need it. VoIP is useless without a high speed connection.

If you don't have a good cell coverage, nothing will magically give you a reliable service, unless you have WiFi everywhere you go.

Canadian going on a cruise to Alaska

I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum to ask but anyways: I'm going on a cruise to Alaska soon and I'm currently using winds unlimited $40 plan. I was wondering if, since the n4 works with every carrier, is there a better way to go / different carrier so I don't have to pay ridiculous /MB and /min fees? I don't travel much so any help is appreciated.
