I spoke with Samfirmware and they'll look for the tar.md5 for EI22 after they finish setting up the new site. Not ideal, I know, but at least it's something. If I hear and exact date I'll let you know.

DJ05 includeds a new modem. If you mess it up there is no way to go back and you will likely have an expensive PDA. That is why it's not posted for mass consumption.

I understand your curiosity, but realize too much discussion around this topic puts the community at risk. If the source is revealed, we will probably lose access to any pre-release updates / software.

It was pulled down because it contained employee info. I don't plan on re-leaking it for the same reason. I'm running the ACS version right now myself.

It really does not contain any sprint employee information unless someone can show proof it does they only name in it is the name of the samsung employee who machine built the tar file. If you can prove it send it in a pm.

Not to mention that if you flash the tar you will have to reinstall clockwork. Plus the released froyo ROMs are already rooted and de-odexed.

I remember back in the EE03 Pre-Release thread, one of the ACS members saying that SRF releases are not, and will never be based on leaks. Seeing as EE19 hasn't officially been called official, at least to the best of my knowledge, I think I am answering my own question... Prove me wrong?

Yea i think 1.1.1 was ready a long time ago but K0 didn't want to release it until he flashed it... they just released it late and was probably alrready working on 1.2

That was my first thought. However with the on-again, off-again nature if the valuepack, I wonder if a previous build included valuepack and it has since been removed. Unless they can get multiple builds we'll never know. Regardless, it should be CIQ free.
Could you ask them for ei22 tar? I believe that's way more important.

Noobnl packaged a tar without the modem and I think the boot loaders were missing. Add his files to the EH17 bootloaders and flash the EC05toEI22 zip and you got something other than the EC05 tar to use.

I like EI22 tar due to the fact our developers have source code for it. But I guess we could use the modem and the updated software files from a newer build. If they came out with a newer build with source code I would really love that a lot.

I'm not interested in EI22, I'm way more interested in 2.3.6 without CIQ I'm sure that would be just as useful to the developers.

Eh, as far as 'useful', I don't know. K0nane already killed CIQ as well as we need, nothing can be pulled from our EI22 roms. And new features or performance seem slim.
But on the other hand, my phone works too well now and I've run out of things to enhance on it. I'm kinda bored with Epic 4G development, so something new could be interesting! In the mean time, I'll be working on the Galaxy Tab.

Why would care about requesting builds that only incorporates new features and not ics. Point being is its just features which our devs will implement but we are lacking a lot right now without this full tar.

I really had given up hope...but with ICS on the Epic in the form of CM9, it is a time when anything can happen..LOL!
Wow. I was beginning to believe we'd never see another one of these. Very helpful for so many.
this saves some time when restoring your phone instead of doing ec05 and Waiting for 2 ota's.
Of course this is after I went through 2 refurbs in two weeks, had to download soooo many ota's to get it to a functional stock experience. Lol oh well, can anyone confirm this non delta EL30 modem doesn't suck at 3g speeds?

Its Sprint...not the modem. It gets great speeds on vzw though...just like all the rest of the modems in the past year.
