now its time to test MIUI i installed 3 different MIUI ROMs (Stock MIUI, LadyMIUI and.. uhm forgot the last one). At all 3 i dont have mobile network connection.
at CM7 it works well...
im on a german carriers named "Aldi Talk" (its ePlus). but the APN dont work (tested manually too).
any ideas?

im sure. i tested internet (browser / sync settings ) with auto generated APNs (settings seems correct) and i add the apn manually (wrote settings down from CM7 working APN and provider homepage). nothing works.
Do you get H or E or anything else in the taskbar and you can't connect or you don't even get those icons?

the icons are there.
i know what the problem is... the bootloader..
with CLK isnt the connection working and with magldr is all fine. :/

If you're using a hero rom then double check the apn seems like many hero roms put space after the dot cause it acts like a text field instead of adress field!

Had cyanogen 4.0.4 and neither 3g nor wifi worked so i did a nand backup but it still didnt worked :S recovery is cyanogens 1.4 and i already asked in the rom thread but no answer so far ~~.

I was comming from a previous CM7, so I just did a Cache and Dalvik wipe.
everything is working fine, exept the mobile internet connection.
Is this a bug at the moment? or could it be a configuration issue?

I had the same problem but data was disabled in settings, Wireless & networks, mobile networks. Please check.
mobile data is enabled in the setting

Delete lines with comment"improve signal(3G)" in /system/build.prop.Though it works well in my region,but cause some problem with some phones. Next version I will remove them totally.

Not sure what the keyword bug is but Alt lock only works on the Moto roms, not any ASOP, but you can do Alt lock by double pressing Alt. The charging led (I assume the one next to the port) has been working for quite some time. I haven't found any other bugs with the latest build

Recently i have rooted my HTC Wildfire with CM7 version: 7.1.0.1-buzz (Android 2.3.7) and found gprs (internet) not working. I can not see lines to delete (improve signal(3G)) as you've mentioned above. Looking ahead your response.

Probably due to the fact that this is a milestone 2 rom and is different from yours.
I'd suggest checking you APN settings are correct.
[Edit]: wifi works fine now but still struggling with gprs (data connection)...double checked with airtel customer care, APN Settings are perfect..Calender also doesn't work after rooting.

Until one day I tried Dorimanx's ROM, and it worked! I can no longer get that ROM to work for the life of me though
I have since then gone back to my primary ROM, NDT MIUI. Knowing that it is possible, how can I get my MMS fully working on this ROM? Do I edit a setting in a system file or something?
I would love ANY help! Please ask for whatever information about my phone necessary, I don't know what else to add besides my APNs have always been the same on any ROM.

My APNs are set to what my carrier provides, but not sure what the auto switch setting is?

No I'm on Wind, a Canadian carrier. When I apply the available T-Mobile MIUI fixes posted everywhere though, they allow me to send MMS no problem but I still can't receive them from anyone. I don't get it lol

i looked in the forum and i don't see any toturial to explain how to get the apn's working on the u8800, so i will leave here a solution for that problem
1- Download root uninstaller pro (search on aptoide)
2- install aptoide
3- download the apk of apn and put on SD card
4- open root uninstaller pro
5- click on the green doll
6- leave the finger on the apk APN three options appear to
7- select: install as system app
8- function normally with the apn Portugal
this is working for me in portugal, i think it will work with other contry's apn's.

But why? Aurora has TMN and vodafone APN's by default, we just have to wait a little for network to be detected on the first boot.
apn portugal or other is usefull for people like me that don't have data package from operator, and you can send mms without login to the internet.. thats why
I installed the ICS 2.03 test rom yesterday and all went fine until I rebooted and then it tries to search for the network and fails to find anything.
In the network operator settings I selected GSM but still no network signal????
Is this a known issue with 2.03? Im in New Zealand and we have GSM network.

Not too sure what a clean install is but i followed some instructions on the website
in clockworkmod i did
Format system
format data
format cache
Then install from sd card and installed Aurora 2.04.zip
Is there a modem driver or something that needs to be manually installed?

That is what the app is for, to let you have 3g on but not gething on internet!
That way you can get and send mms but no internet data usage unless you want it!

Thanks, rooki error i was trying to upgrade straight from oxygen to ics and didnt understand the need to get the stock rom on first.
once that was done i managed to get it going.
Left ics as it was having some bugs that i dont want on a daily phone so im using the official 2.3.5 rooted with a oc kernel and that works perfectly.

the fm radio app isn't affected by the apn portugal...
the app apn portugal, only blocks the internet via 3g

Yep, i'm using 2.11a update2 and it works really nice Now i can send/receive mms when my internet plafond is over without any additional charge.
Got just one question: why install aptoid? It's just a way of dowloading root uninstaller pro?

you don't really need to install aptoide or root uninstaller, simply install Apn Portugal normally from market then using ES File Explorer (for example) go to /data/app and move the Apn Portugal .apk to /system/app and reboot. this should work ok

yes, i use the aptoide to do my download's, and the root uninstaler is easy to find there

So I just installed tytungs cm10 on m ygfs hd2 via nativesd with wm6.5 and mobile data is not working I tried many combinations with data and WiFi tethering,... something that's also strange is that thephone shows the roaming sign at the signal bars? How can I fix this? Thanks guys
Edit: It seems that the "R" on the roaming bars doesnt have a connection with the mobile data not working since switching SIM cards removed the roaming "R" but mobile data still wasn't working.
So I still don't have a working data connection not even a 3G or H icon in the notification bar in Android on native SD in wm 6.5 all is working...
Thing I tried:
3 Roms: Jelly Belly, Nexus hd2 Jelly Bean, myMIUI GingerBread, all without working data connection.
HSPL 2.08 and 3.03
Current info:
Radio: 2.15.50.14
HSPL 3.03
Maybe you installed PPP instead of RMNET?
Check your APN settings as well as the network.
Thanks for the answer! I tried with rmnet and ppp with the same results. Networking and apn settings are alright I also can write SMS and call people without problems. The only thing not working is mobile data and it displays the roaming 'R' on the signal bars...

Since there is an "R", maybe you should check "use data when roaming" .. But why is it showing "R" ? You aren't roaming, are you?
Ok I found out why it didnt work... I tried flashing back to HSPL 3.03 from 2.08 and now it works but I have no idea why... anyways thanks for your help

Ok it doesnt work XD sorry for the confusion but earlier mobile data also wasnt working on winmobile and flashing back to HSPL 3.03 fixed it for winmobile so I thought it would fix it for android, too but it didnt... The Roms I tried are NexusHD2-Jelly Bean and Jelly Belly both ROMs think Im roaming when I'm not and both can't create a mobile data connection (not even 3G or H signs in notification bar...) in Winmobile 6.5 mobile data works as it should... So if anyone has any idea how to fix this please help me!!!

Yes I checked data Roaming and even national roaming just to be sure... I just tried it with a different SIM card and now the Roaming "R" vanished but everything else is still the same so maybe the "R" doesnt have any connection to the mobile data at all?... and thank you for your quick reply

Sorry for triple posting but i just want to keep everyone up to date on my own progress:

1- Dial *#*#4636#*#* you will have a menu of testing
2- open Phone information you will see all network info...
3- press on (set preferred network type..

After applying these changes I get a "3G" sign in notification bar but still no connection...
I then set the DNS in build.prop to this:
net.rmnet0.dns1=8.8.8.8
net.rmnet0.dns2=8.8.4.4
net.dns1=8.8.8.8

which sadly didn't work either...so if anyone has any idea please help!!!
Same problem to me. The mobile data still works if I am using win mobile or even SDCard ROM (ICS NexusHD). But using nativesd ROMs, it does not work.

I got it working after flashing the Rom over and over again with full wipe ppp and adding the build.prop lines.
Have you added DNS to build.prop:

I have added too but it does not work. I found that if using sdcard NexusHD, network type is HSDAP:9 (able to connect) but using any NativeSD ROM, network type is HSDAP:8 (unable to connect). Is it the problem? Anyone can help me?
So my girlfriend pulled the sd card out while the phone was running and after turning the phone on again mobile data didn't work again... I tried doing everything the same way as before but it isn't working again... Does anyone actually know what causes this? Since it's working flawlessly on wm6.5 it should be an android specific bug no? This is quite frustrating since I somehow got it to work before and now just because of such a little mistake it's gone XD

Hey mobile data is working with "Touchwiz mod V3.0 4.2.2 JB" rom. I made a clean install with PPP connection instead of RMNet. But for me battery drain is very bad in Touchwiz mod. so luking for a good rom with better battery life.
