My MMS has never worked. Most I've ever been able to do is send files, but not receive. I've searched around for help over time and have found nothing.
Until one day I tried Dorimanx's ROM, and it worked! I can no longer get that ROM to work for the life of me though
I have since then gone back to my primary ROM, NDT MIUI. Knowing that it is possible, how can I get my MMS fully working on this ROM? Do I edit a setting in a system file or something?
I would love ANY help! Please ask for whatever information about my phone necessary, I don't know what else to add besides my APNs have always been the same on any ROM.

My APNs are set to what my carrier provides, but not sure what the auto switch setting is?

No I'm on Wind, a Canadian carrier. When I apply the available T-Mobile MIUI fixes posted everywhere though, they allow me to send MMS no problem but I still can't receive them from anyone. I don't get it lol

If you're using a hero rom then double check the apn seems like many hero roms put space after the dot cause it acts like a text field instead of adress field!
Nah,
Had cyanogen 4.0.4 and neither 3g nor wifi worked so i did a nand backup but it still didnt worked :S recovery is cyanogens 1.4 and i already asked in the rom thread but no answer so far ~~.
Long time reader, first time poster!
So I've been switching between Cm mod and the stock rom a few times yesterday. When I tried sending out a few mms (video and/or pictures) and it seems to stop working now...I've read i may need to reinstall the stock mms.apk pack but I don't even know where to begin!
Is there any ideas where I should go from here?

what ROM are you currently on? What are you using to send the MMS?
I have a similar problem on CM7 using Handcent. MMS don't send, but do come through most (if not all) of the time.
So instead of tinkering with the problem, I backed everything up and went with mik's re-engineered rom with a 1.5ghz overlcock kernel. I appreciate the suggestions though, Thanks!
I installed the Creamed Glacier Rom and flashed the recommended kernel to enable wifi. Its runs perfectly, my only problem is I cant seem to get a Data connection?? I read somewhere about it having to do with the apn settings but idk how to change them or what to change them to? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated :/
Open Google.
Write "Android APN settings <your_carrier_name>".
Read what you get. I can bet you get a guide for setting APN, and the correct things to enter.
Profit.
Search is good.
Fixed!

I wasnt sure if it was really the apn but the above link I found helped Thanks for your reply
Change Kernel
I had flashed the newest creamed glacier and darkside kernel. i would recommend changing rom's as even the gyrosensor is messed up when you flash that particular kernel.
data
Might have something to do with the build.prop. might just be the Rom itself
I'm running aeon 2.3 and I can't receive mms via the stock messaging app. I think it has to do with the Korean apk. A) DOES ANYONE HAVE A STOCK AT&T MESSAGING APK? B) do you think replacing the messaging. Apk in the sys app would fix the issue? I'm guessing here because I receive mms via Google hangouts perfectly. Thanks guys

I am on Aeon 2.3 with ATT and stock messenger app is working fine for me... never had any issues.. did you mess with the APN settings at all? or possibly the SMS/MMS message center phone # ??
EDIT: woops, just noticed you specified MMS.... my response would only apply if both sms and mms were not working, sorry..
anyway, i doubt replacing the APK will make a difference if sms is indeed working.. sounds more like a connectivity related issue possibly like you said due to korean base...

The stock messaging app will not solve your problem. The problem lies elsewhere and it extends to other bases as well. Did you flash over existing rom ? Or did you do the normal wipes? And please post in the AEON thread so we can help you better. I almost didn't see your post.

Thank you for helping Hermz1337.
Bigfau is such a great dev. He even hunts people down to help them.

Thanks man. I'm no dev but I was bored and inpatient. I posted in the thread but with no response I looked elsewhere to solve my issues. Thanks for all of your great work an efforts. I love your Rom but I can't get mms from iPhone's specifically. I receive them via hangouts. I'm not changing any APN settings and I flashing after a factory reset wipe via twrp.

So I tried flashing both CloudyFlex and CloudyPro and noticed that I wasn't able to receive MMS's on either rom but then once I switched to Mahdi rom which is AOSP then everything was fine. Anyone else having the same problem or know what is wrong? Is it a T-Mobile thing?
Have you checked the apn for the rom?

No I haven't, data works so I figured it wasn't an apn issue. Am I wrong?

no its possible the mms settings within the apn might not be filled or current... so check it out... might be that
if it still doesnt work ... try to see if you can receive mms on another app instead of stock lg messaging...
