x1 Voice Recording Software

Hi guys
does anybody know of a good voice recording software I can put on the x1? I m mainly interested in recording lectures and interviews so I m looking at recording time of at least 1 or 2 hours without a break.
I came across some software earlier - Alexander Zavorine Mp3 Voice Recorder - which I installed but it keeps crashing my system. Every single time I tried it I had to take the battery out after to switch the phone off. cause it wouldnt react to nothing else
Any other good ideas? I ve been looking everywhere!
thanks

Check out Vito Audio Notes.
Regards,
Carty..
thanks for your help guys! ... maybe I should rephrase my request though - ideally, the software would be free
I think there is an HTC voice recorder that is free.. I've never used it so i can't say how good it is or whether u can record for 1-2hrs but its worth a shot
just downloaded the vito notes free version. Really nice, being able to save in wav and mp3 is really useful

2 Way Recording on Iolite (free!)

I've been searching for this feature a while ago and didn't find any free, working solution and even those payed ones seemed to be far from perfect. Today, I did the search again and realised that a very nice solution have shown up few months ago.
Seems to be working fine with Iolite (default ROM), even the version with "Record" option in call menu. Looks like it is also quite clean way as the main part is just a registry edit.
So, if you don't know it yet, here are links:

Article that led me to the solution back on xda-dev - thanks Google
Btw, there might be some legal (and ethical) issues with the call recording. E.g. in my country, recorded party has to be informed about this. Still, it can be very helpful when taking notes would be too slow or dagerous (when driving...).

Nice finding, thanks. Could be useful.

On the other hand, who'll know? As long as you keep these records for yourself.

Automatic Call Recording

Is there a way to automatically record all calls made to or from the phone? I would like something that would also email the recordings to my email address to prevent the memory on the phone from being used up with this.
Just Curious
Russ
I use a program called Vito Audio Notes Touch and it has an option to auto record calls. The interface of the program is very basic and it works well on a touch screen phone. I was also surprised at how good the recording quality is on the TP2 with this application.
Thanks, that looks good, I will try it out and see!
If anyone should know of a free alternative, please let me know!

i have been using this app acr for a couple of months now, on the t-mobile wing and t-mobile tp2, and it works perfect look no further this is what you want. it lets you record incoming and out going call and store them anywhere(on device mem, or storage card). if you let some one use your phone no one will ever know that their being recorded.
and on that note on my t-mobile tp2 with stocked rom, when i make a call and it is going through i just press menu and i have a opion on the menu that says record and it does. this one you need to actative it your self!!!
but the acr app (the one above it does it by itself)
hope this helps all
This software is working wonderfully for recording, now if I could just get it to email the files to me
This is definitely a good answer to this issue though.

Recording Phone Calls

I remember a thread several months ago in which we discussed the best software for recording conversations, and how this was very difficult on WM, and which resulted in my using VITO "AudioNotes". However, I have still always had a great volume discrepancy between my own voice and that of the caller. I'm wondering if there has been any change since that discussion; can anyone recommend better software now recording calls in better quality? The major advantage of AudioNotes is that it records all phone calls automatically, unobtrusively and with no audible Beeps. But can anyone now recommend anything better?

You dont need any third party software to do so, just use the native WM recording feature. Make the following changes to your registry & U'll find the recording button in the menu during your voice calls.
To enable 2 way recording just change:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev]
"VocRecPath"=dword:00000002
If you want to use WM6 native recording (WAW only, on \my documents\notes, manual activation: during a call hit "record" on call menu) create:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\AudioRecording]
"Enabled"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Voice]
"EnableCallRecordMenuItem"=dword:00000001
"AllowInCallRecording"=dword:00000001

Personally, I use Auto Call Record or ACR 1.2.
Google for it.

And it is AWESOME
Thanks very much guys. Sexkgp, is there a way of setting up your registry version so that all calls are recorded automatically without the need for any user intervention?
Actually no wories; I've installed ACR and I do concur, it's perfect!
acr hands down the best!
i've had acr on both my tmo tp2 and my old tmo wing. its works flawlessly, and you don't even know it their. but when you need to recall the converstion, just go to what ever file you store your recording in (sd/device) and there is every phone call you ever made; if you never delete them.
doesnt take up any room on ram, it is always hidin, and ALWAYS WORKS. lot of opions included.
I do agree, except for "lot of opions included". The options are actually rather minimal, which is a shame, but otherwise no complaints.
I think I have read about it in one of the forums, but cant recollect the post, search for it & u'll find it..

may i know where to change the code??
thanks

Speaking personally my leval of ability favours software over reg-tweaking, and I must say that having used Auto Call Record for a few weeks now, other than that it overloads a little (if only there was a way to lower its record gain?) it is indeed excellent and reliable.
