Is there a way to automatically record all calls made to or from the phone? I would like something that would also email the recordings to my email address to prevent the memory on the phone from being used up with this.
Just Curious
Russ
I use a program called Vito Audio Notes Touch and it has an option to auto record calls. The interface of the program is very basic and it works well on a touch screen phone. I was also surprised at how good the recording quality is on the TP2 with this application.
Thanks, that looks good, I will try it out and see!
If anyone should know of a free alternative, please let me know!

i have been using this app acr for a couple of months now, on the t-mobile wing and t-mobile tp2, and it works perfect look no further this is what you want. it lets you record incoming and out going call and store them anywhere(on device mem, or storage card). if you let some one use your phone no one will ever know that their being recorded.
and on that note on my t-mobile tp2 with stocked rom, when i make a call and it is going through i just press menu and i have a opion on the menu that says record and it does. this one you need to actative it your self!!!
but the acr app (the one above it does it by itself)
hope this helps all
This software is working wonderfully for recording, now if I could just get it to email the files to me
This is definitely a good answer to this issue though.

Hello,
Need following software that I could not find:
1. Call conversation recorder (tried Resco won't work properly - almost impossible to hear the person you are talking with, I suppose it uses microphone to record, isn't there any internal way to do it?)
2. ****list software to block calls and messages from unwanted numbers.
My machine is HTC Touch Cruise, Windows Mobile 6.0 Pro
Much obliged in advance for any clues.
Oooooh exotic! Haha.
Use "Call Firewall" (search google) for blocking calls. For recording calls you are most likely out of luck on Pocket PC. Haven't seen a good one come across the forum yet. Anyone care to prove me wrong?
You can use the notes function built in to WM6 and record it from there... Bad quality but does the job...

Well it's most upseting then for the phone like that. I suppose many consider it business phone, and businessmen should be most interested in recording their calls :|

I know that, you gotta push and hold that damn button all the time and that is not that easy and most uncomfortable :|
in the US some states is illegal to record phone calls and other voice recordings unless you get consent from the other party. maybe that's why they didnt put it into the phone. may be some legal issues they didnt wanna deal it and be liable for.
No... During a call, you can press the notes button within the phone app and then hit record in there. I'll post some screen shots if you want...
I live in Europe, Lithuania, so it doesn't concern me whatsoever

Very uncomfortable I should say, I was looking for much more automatized software, at least Resco adds date, number and some other info I suppose. And by the way does it work if you're talking with bluetooth headset on? I guess not...

I doubt it...
Resco Audio Recorder automatically records phone calls (I remember because I didn't know it was on, so I filled up my storage with phone recordings).
However, it is quiet because on most WinMo hardware, you can't record incoming voice. It's quiet because it's recording from the mic (where you talk into), which I guess picks up a bit of sound from the speaker (where you listen when you talk). Maybe try talking on speakerphone all the time? Haha, I'm sure that won't work in a business setting, but it's something.
can "Call Firewall" block messages (SMS) as well? I guess not. And that is even more important for me. Anyone knows software with this function?

There is a program i have tested on wm6 it's called LivePVR if you PM me i can give you a link
Try PMRecorder. It's fully automatic, and it's supposed to be working quite well.
Hi,
Vito audioNotes does a very good job on this. Good quality sound and small files.
Cheers,
Dirk
I have made a program for my girlfriend wizard so she can talk with skype using the earpiece instead of the loudspeaker...
It might be useful for others too, use it at your own risk, I do not take responsibilities for any damage made by this program...
It also may work with other phones, it is a matter of trying... of course again, at your own risk.
It is very simple, just run the program before a skype call and then bring it up and press "ok" to close.
If someone knows tha if skype broadcast some sort of message while making a call, please send the information to me so I can make a auto-switching program ;-)
Do not let the program running because you can really mess things around, but nothing serious... just annoying.
standalone exe file, do not sell it!!! it is free!!
Thanks.
Check the new program, at:

Thanks man, I don't need it at the moment, but it is great idea.
this is a fix that a lot of ppl have been waiting for but unfortunately it doesn't work on my tytn 2. is there any way that you can make a universal switch or one for the tytn 2?
can someone use this fix to auto-switch when wm6 voip call is comming in?
This is brilliant, brilliant!!!!
I suggest you repost this as VOIP: Audio redirection to earpierce and hopefully the mods can make this a sticky. This is a problem that has baffled many for long.
I've tested with both Express Talk and WM6 VOIP. However WM6 VOIP has got an issue on my phone where the volume is low with lots of noise. However in both cases, the app redirected the audio to the earpiece. Express talk is crystal clear through the earpiece and is what I'll be using for VOIP calls.
Would you care to elaborate on what issues we can expect if we leave the application running for long?
one small problem is after running this .exe, i am unable to key lock my device. so as i speak over the earpiece of skype i have the tendancy to press buttons (eg. hangup) with my face.

pmugabi:
you wont hear your phone ring at all if you leave the device running. all the sounds and notifications that come through the loudspeaker will all now come through the earpiece!
would vibrate still work?
To answer my own question, I tested it and it does! (Well I tested it on my Tilt and it worked)
My own problem now is finding a ROM that works with Skype and Troca2. The one I have now will not use the mic on the phone (whether troca2 is running or not). Either way I am making progress towards my Skype only wizard!
SKYPE and FRING on Sony Xperia X1
Have you managed to make this software automatic??
It may be a good idea if the software would work for FRING and SKYPE only without redirecting ALL the sounds.
Is it possible??
Best
Michael
I am having a issue with audio not coming out as mono on MP3 files will this work for that?
hello,
could you please make this run on WM2003 also ? i need this for my HTC magician.
thank you in advance...

Does it work on X1?
I think WM2003 is too old to run
Code ... maybe?
Hi MarceloFB,
This works great on my Xperia X1 (didn't try it with Skype, just my own VOIP app). ... Also have not tried it on my TytnII, don't even think I'm going to bother, since the TytnII hardware (as far as I know) won't support it.
I would, however, love to just put the API call into my own VOIP app instead of having the extra executable.
I have tried:
waveOutMessage( hWaveOut, /*MM_WOM_FORCESPEAKER*/WM_USER + 2, FALSE, 0 );
... as I thought that was the way to redirect the sound on devices where the hardware supports it, but that does not seem to work.
Would you maybe be willing to let me know what API calls you make in your app?
Regards
Hendrik
Hi ...
.... Nevermind ... got it working .... and on TytnII as well
Perfect
Works fine with Fring, Thanks, any idea why Skype 2.5 Beta crashes on Xperia when trying to make a call?
Works on Hermes
I've been testing express talk: http://www.nch.com.au/talk/index.html and your app reroutes the audio perfectly.
Where do I send beer? I would love a today plugin.

Is it possible to guide us how you changed your API to make it automatic ?
I don't know why nobody continued this thread. It is a big problem for all of WM users .
I have WM 6.1 and still the same problem . Damn Microsoft cannot fix this issue ?
Take a look at the first post, I have made a new program with automatic switch, and need people to test it and give some feedback, I intend to make corrections as bugs appears.
As title really.
I've done a search on the forum and it seems there is software available that will record calls, but this will only work if the hardware itself supports it. Does anyone know if the Touch HD will work with any software to support call recording?
The other work around I discovered doing a search on the forum was to put the phone into speakerphone mode and use call recording software, but this is obviously not ideal.
So, what's the best way to record calls on the Touch HD?
Thanks

You got it in one. Thats currently the only way.
Not quite
Resco Audio recorder works fine for me, once configured it collects all calls as mp3's in a folder of your choice (e.g. on sd).
it's not freeware though, but no speaker needed.
Not technically sure about the Blackstone, but I have both a Polaris and Raphael. I've seen comments about both of those phones being unable to record, yet I've never had a problem recording with VITO Audio Notes (without using the speakerphone trick). It's also a commercial product. If both of those phones can do it, I would suspect the Blackstone is probably also capable.

Excuse me if this sounds rude but that is a 20 page thread that I don't have time to look through unfortunately. Could you please point me to the page that has the relevant instructions?
Thanks

@speed_pour,
Please can you explaine the speakerphone trick, I also use vito audio notes! Today I see this trick, without using the speakerphone, for the second time also in this post, but I have no idea how it works!
I can only record both voices when I activate speakerphone in settings, if I don't, I only can record my own voice during a call????!!!!!
Thanks in advance!

Don't know what to tell you, I just made a call 5 minutes ago on that phone, and without turning on the speakerphone it's still got both voices on there. The other side's voice is much lower volume, but it can't be sound bleeding over because it also works when I'm using a bluetooth headset.
I've been searching for this feature a while ago and didn't find any free, working solution and even those payed ones seemed to be far from perfect. Today, I did the search again and realised that a very nice solution have shown up few months ago.
Seems to be working fine with Iolite (default ROM), even the version with "Record" option in call menu. Looks like it is also quite clean way as the main part is just a registry edit.
So, if you don't know it yet, here are links:

Article that led me to the solution back on xda-dev - thanks Google
Btw, there might be some legal (and ethical) issues with the call recording. E.g. in my country, recorded party has to be informed about this. Still, it can be very helpful when taking notes would be too slow or dagerous (when driving...).

I can hear both sides of the call clearly.
And its still on the market place for 5 bucks.
As long as Android doesn't provide the necessary API's, you won't find a decent solution.
