The wildfire only goes to 2.2 officialy. CM7 latest build has 2.3.7 and its stable (not including nightlies)
Is that version in stable or night mod?and can can you explain what nightlies is?
Nightlies, from what I know, is a build that they release every night and some times is really buggy but you get the occasional one that is stable. I just stick with the stable releases not the nightlies. Um there is a stable release out.
Here's the link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1143125
Also the easy way to install it is to use rom manager and make sure you do nandroid backup before you install any roms

Sorry to contradict you but the nightlies in my opinion are just as stable as the stable version, you see a lot of the bugs you may read about in various threads are through user error not the actual rom itself. And been able to use new features long before they are released in a stable version far outweighs the amount of bugs.
I've been on nightlies for about 4 months and only ever had 1 bug, the camera wouldn't work a couple of days ago but Arco already knew why and it was fixed the next day!

Yeah I've only ever used the stable releases. Never quite tryed nightlies. mayby you can say what version of nightlies is stable and then I can have a look for myself. What are the changes so far included in the nightlies?

All the nightlies I've tried have been stable, I know they had problems in the early stages with bootloops etc but I've been on them since about nightly 100 and never had any major issues apart from my own stupidity.
There is a changelog knocking about somewhere. I'll see if I can find the link later.

FAQ
Q. What does the test folder mean?
A. It will be unofficial builds with additional commits from developers which are not yet approved to go into CM. There is probably a good reason why it didnt get merged yet, so you are warned!
Q. Is this build faster than latest nightly?
A. This build is fast, but probably not faster than latest nightly
Q. Is battery life better then latest nightly?
A. This build battery life is good, but probably not better than latest nightly
Q. What does updated WIFI driver do?
A. Nothing, I removed it.
Q. What has been added/changed since last build?
A. Check Changelog for latest changes.
Q. Can i flash this over my currently nightly?
A. Yes you can flash this over a nightly just like you do with another nightly
Q. Where did the KANG go?
A. It got replaced by UNOFFICIAL to prevent misunderstanding.
Thanks a lot! I think this should become the place to share our Kang builds with the rest of the world.

Probably better to have 2 places, one to discus how to build a KANG, and one (this one) to discus posted KANGS. Both have different audiences, people who like to build and people who like to flash.
Agreed, ignore my previous post

Hi, what are the differences between this and a cm7 nightly?
Can I flash this over nightly 181?
Thanks in advance
It is updated until the 8th of December. Safe to flash over 181, just another update plus an addon as stated in the op (updated wifi driver from zach).
Basically it contains almost all changes from the changelog for nightlies..
Taptalked u see
Ok thanks. I installed it, it works pretty well, but still has got a bug present in nightly 181... The fade effect when you unlock the lockscreen is not present. Could you try to fix it? Thanks!

It uses the same sources as CM7, and it uses the same build process.
The only thing different is the updated WIFI driver which zach and fugumod uses, and of course the recent changes which are not inside the latest nightly's.
So you can assume the following:
* This build is fast, but probably not faster than latest nightly 181
* This build battery life is good, but probably not better than latest nightly 181
* Maybe the WIFI signal could be better, but you will have to find that our yourself.
* Check Changelog for latest changes compared to latest nightly 181
* Yes you can flash this over a nightly just like you do with another nightly
Enjoy
Hi folks,
Im sorry that this is a silly question, but I have been attempting to look for the next update of CM7.2-RC1 since 14-Mar at here:
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=olympus
But I saw only the ninghtly versions that show as CM7 (not CM7.2, I mean)
Because that they were added into the same download link with the CM7.2-RC1, so I am wondering whether they are the newest updates of it, I mean the 19-Apr and the 21-Apr releases?
Please excuse me if this is a repeated question as somwhere. Many thanks in advance.

Thanks, but your reply does not make me be clear. I know that is the latest update of nightly series. But my question is, whether that 21-Apr nightly is the latest update of CM7.2-RC1?

In other words, my question is: Have been there the CM7.2-RC2, RC3, RC4...yet? And where is the official link I can check for the newest update of CM7.2 series? Thank you all in advance again.

The nightly is the latest version. No need to check further. I guess if you don't want to take my work for it, you can always check github for the latest changes.
That's the latest RC. Nightlies are the the only "most up to date" roms, but they aren't release candidates.
Edit: actually, RC2 is the latest I think. I'm searching on my phone so its kinda hard to find.

WTF? There is no RC2 yet. RC1 is the latest "stable" release, and the nightlies are unstable snapshots from those dates with updates to RC1.

Thank you. So RC2 is not released yet and we just wait for it in short time, right? At meanwhile, I see that the nightly 21-Apr in the link on post #1 showed as CM7 instead of CM7.2. So could you advise me about this? How is this version comparing to the CM7.2-RC1?
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
What are you waiting for? RC1 is the Stable Release. There is probably no more development for CM7 on the Atrix. RC1 is very stable and fully functional. I think you even have fingerprint thanks to the Atrix team.
If you want something different, there are some CM7 variants such as MIUI, Ligux and Mokee.
All development now is in ICS which is basically waiting on Moto to release ICS drivers and kernels. Until then you will not have a fully functioning ROM although the devs have done some awesome work with what they have.
Enjoy CM7 as it is a great ROM for the Atrix.
I am running Morrisoft Gen V0.9 based on CM7 nightly April 9th 2012. It is fast and smooth. I have not experienced any bugs yet. You can give it a try.
edited for dumb question removal. lol
The CM7 nightly released 4-21 (20120420) is more stable than the RC1 so far.
the RC1 fingerlock would stop working if you unselected usb debugging and you would be totally locked out unless you rewiped. It also would constantly random reboot as well as reboot on incoming calls.
The latest nightly so far fixed all that. Yeah I wish there was a newer official release but i guess they are going to CM9 now. But like the e07015 said, moto has not released the drivers and kernels for ics so there wont be any official CM9 release anytime soon. :/
I'm fine with cm7 if it stays stable, crossing my finger. Its WAYYYYY faster and better than motoblurSUCK!

From what I know Buzz has never been dropped from CM7. There haven't been enough capacities to do the nightly builds for a while.
Buzz will never get any official CM9 support though as CM9 simply is made for devices with better hardware capabilities

like I've mentioned before new CM7 nightlies are released every week or so - all the releases are here: http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=buzz
Regarding your problems with CM7 versions: it definitely must be on your side as most of the people don't seem to have issues with CM7 (including me). For me it's pretty stable.
What problems are you facing? Any error messages? What exactly doesn't work?
Hello all. I've done a search and have tried to read through all the forums to no avail. I'm wondering why there isn't (or hasn't been, ever) a stable release of CM10 for the Mako.
I've used a Galaxy i9000, then moved on to a Moto Atrix, and both devices would have nightlies, and eventually have a stable release, somewhat like a milestone of sorts. For the Mako (http://get.cm/?device=mako) there's NEVER been a Stable release and it's all been nightlies and/or experimental builds.
Is there a particular reason why there aren't any Stable releases for the N4? Or is this the way it really should be.
Thanks in advance for the help!

The stable release will be ready next week. I'm sure others can confirm.
There were Mako milestone builds, I think.
The nightlies are rock solid, though. Might as well be a stable release.
The nightlies are pretty stable though , just really small unnoticable bugs

How do you think, is there any chance for ja3g to get a stable release? Nightlies started rolling out once in 2 days already. Does this mean it is almost abandoned? Or closer to a stable release?
@Alberto96 , may I have your opinion on this also?

Why do you want a "stable" version? It's only a label. If a rom works then it works. It doesn't matter if it's labeled: Alpha, beta, stable, nightlies etc.

+1 to this, also i will add, the i9500 ja3g has exynos CPU and the drivers are not released, so there be always more problems to solve issues or to get an stable version of CM.
Cyanogenmod have dropped the "stable" naming label a while back. From then on releases will be named either "nightly" or "snapshot"/"milestone"(M). Any specific device will only get a Milestone/snapshot release if there is an active developer for that specific device and if that developer marks the device as ready when builds are run. Many of the devices currently getting nightly builds have no active developers and as such will not receive milestone builds. This seems to be the case for the I9505, not sure about yours, though.

Well, I had a clear reason to start this question because , actually, the ROM works, but until now, it is full of bugs. And we all know about it.
