Has anyone gotten USB host mode working on 2.2.2?
Many thanks!
Jamie
for 2.2.x roms, the only rom that can do it is Streakdroid 1.9.x.
I believe dj_steve tested it moderately with a usb keyboard, anything you're on your own. USB thumb drives can work, but they have many caviats such as you cant go into usb mode and connect it to a pc.
Yes sd 1.9.1 has it

Turn off USB debugging
go to setting>development menu> turn off USB debugging
If it's turn off but you cant connect try download driver from Asus page and update drivers
The probem:
USB Mass Storage not working in Recovery. I tried everything, reflashing different recovery but its not working, it doesn't give an error message. When card is not inside however it does complain. SdCard is fine because I can flash zips that are on it. Tested on both windows and ubuntu. tried another card as well
USB Mount doesn't work in CM7.2 or any rom or nand restore i've done recently. I had Insomnia at some point, then inferno, then cm 7.1, none of these restores work. Again here no errors, I do not even see the sign for usb detection. usb debugging is enabled/disabled no difference. phone however still charges though.
I'm on a trip right now, but I've not had the chance yet to get another usb cable but the two I have dont work.

He has tried two cables, so I would tend to lean toward the port.

i am in the same boat. looks like my charging port is bad. anyway to replace the charging port? i am not good with soldering
it's not ur usb port
it's htc.. htc devices doesn't support usb host feature.
If you have a rom and kernal that do support usb host then try powering the usb as the htc devices do not provide power out.. use usb Y cable

What? He isn't trying to host the connection. He is trying to use his phone as a USB mass storage device.
Where did you get USB host from in his questions?

Hi all,
I am having the same problem, except perhaps with a different cause. My user account on Windows 7 became corrupt and I can no longer log in, so I had to create a new one.
On the new account, my myTouch 4G is not recognized for mass storage/disk drive mode via USB. The USB cable does work, the port is okay, and I've used both with other devices. The myTouch shows as charging when connected to the computer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all of the myTouch drivers, restarted computer and phone, to no avail.
When it is connected in USB, it shows as generic "Drive F" and is inaccessible. When I check properties it says mytouch4g. When I check "Devices" it is recognized as portable storage. I have tried with USB debugging on and off, and have set "connected to computer" mode to disk drive.
Any thoughts? I thought possibly loading the generic ADB driver again might help, but I cannot get to the stage where I can force it to load that driver instead of the HTC one.
Hi guys,
i have currently problem with my LG G2 D802 32GB.
Description:
- Android CM11 works (installed via TWRP)
- TWRP 2.6.3.3 works
- But now i am trying to flash stock firmware via downlaod mode (volume up then plug in usb cable). But there is some problem with download mode. Last what i can see is this screen: i1.ytimg.com/vi/kcFtnZZ7I1U/hqdefault.jpg
My PC don't recognize USB device i think (no USB sound in Windows, no new device in Device manager). Something is wrong. I tried to install USB drivers from tutorials to my PC (Win 8.1 64b or Win 7 64b), but no change. And cable is ok (have two USB cables). Maybe i have wrong drivers?
Could you advise me please?
Thank you in advance... I'm desperate

I have only 2 notebooks. I tried several ports (usb 2.0 or 3.0) and nothing.
I think there is problem with some partititon in my G2. But what partition i should flash to repair my phone?
My accelerometer and compass doesn't work too in CM 10.2 stable. Maybe it has a connection...
Hi folks I have a rooted N7 and have used plenty of different ROMs in the last 2 years. Since installing KK 4.4.4 I cannot connect to my computer by USB, neither Windows 8 or Linux.
OTG is working as I can access external USB cards, there is nothing wrong with the USB leads, needless to say I have tried different leads in different USB ports, the tablet still charges when connected by a USB cable.
In settings, storage has MTP activated, I have tried PTP and it still will not work.
In developer I have activated USB / Android debugging.
I am using multirom and have done so since it came out
My main rom is MAHDI 2.7
Secondaries areCM11 20140903 and pac_grouper-1-20140903
Any help would be appreciated.
Think it's solved
All my other Android devices connect with my computers by usb so I have to conclude that there is something wrong with the N& OTG port.
Okay so I am really stuck here... hopefully someone can help me
Connecting my S5 with Samsung Stock ROM to my Laptop (Windows 8.1) via USB 3.0 cable gave me three options:
USB-Connection (PC):
connect as
MTP
PTP
MTP (USB 3.0)
Now I have tried AOKP ROM and also CM11 ROM for my S5, but as problemless as USB 3.0 support worked while on STOCK ROM..... as confused I am now....
Connecting my S5 running AOKP/AOSP ROM with USB 3.0 cable to my Laptop now only gives me these two options:
MTP
PTP
When copying files with AOKP/AOSP ROM running its obviously NOT USB 3.0 speed. I am quite sure my Laptop has the required drivers installed, as USB 3.0 support worked just fine with the Samsung Stock ROM.
I thought this must be a well known problem/issue. But so far, I looked hours on Google and no answer found.
I also posted in the Cyanogemod Forum - Galaxy S5 Support Section --> no reply
I am really really stuck. I feel like there must be an easy solution, but I just don't get it..
So really would appreciate any help you can offer!
Thanks!
