Hey all!
I bought my self a refurb vega from pc world online a couple of days ago and flashed vegacomb to it. I love the tablet, looks like new HOWEVER I have discovered with a problem that is really annoying
The vega's battery drains like mental. If i fully charge it to 100% and leave it on standby I can expect the vegas battery to drop by several percent in 10 mins. Last night at around 1am I left the vega on standby at 70% battery, woke up and its dead and shows 0%. I have read the vega has a really good life however in my case the vega fails at it. Is this normal or should I flash the original rom and send it back for a replacement = (
p.s: I have also wiped the batterystats however this does not help
cant help with your problem sorry, but I've got vegacomb on mine and get pretty good battery life out of it, far more than you seem to be getting. I'd go for a replacement if I was you, you'll still have a full warranty.
Try flashing the stock rom. Then allow a couple of charge cycles. If the problem remains, there is a good chance of a hardware problem.
Peace.

Hey Guys
just found this forum now, am in straight away
am using HTC wildfire for 2 weeks now, maybe less, when I got the phone i was so excited and turned it on immediately before charging, I do not know if this a reason for my battery to get empty too fast, I MUST charge it everyday, some days heavy use, but I have tested for normal use and still the same, as i saw in many threads all people are happy from the battery life.
so any idea to solve this silly weak battery.
cheers
This is Touch2 territory :S
Try a full discharge then a full recharge cycle. Let it die to the point that you can not get the phone to turn on and then recharge. These batteries should not need this but it might help.
Hello! I'm having serious problems with my battery. Since I installed CM10 my battery just goes from 80 to about 60 or 50%, then it drops again from 40 to 20%. Already tried to calibrate with battery calibration app, or this methods, done full wipe (did the process from the beggining, back to Cm7 and no results at all!
Pictures attached.
Please, pleaase help! I'm selling my defy, and do not want to sell it with this issue.
PS: Original battery

After checking the ownership in root explorer or simular apps, recharge to 100% and let it sit for a couple of hours. Do that again after discharging it.
You will probably be selling a worn battery anyhow, but then maybe with a calibration so the percentages work. This is mostly due to changing with a fast-charger (not the stock one) or charging it not often enough. If you have the habit to let it go to 0%, then it is worn in less then a year to a degree that it last for a couple of hours less then in the beginning.
New battery is the only way, I got an anker one off amazon for £5 and have great battery life on cm10. The
above method or a change of ROM may help but the only real cure for me was a new battery

Hey dear forum members,
I have my G2 (D802 Europe) now for nearly 1.5 years and I've nerver really experienced that "wow"-effect everyone had with the battery life. Soon I rooted my phone and used cyanogenmod instead. It was a bit better but not for long time and now my nerves are at their end (I don't know why this has not occured earlier :?) so I went back to stock by flashing stock and unrooting but nothing helps. I want better battery life but I don't know why it is so bad.
I get about 6-8 hours of battery life with 2-4 hours of display on time with 50-70% brightness. Sometimes i have 100% brightness but i think battery life is still bad even with 100%. I only use it for calls, whatsapp, facebook, youtube and surfing. I am not even playing games on it. Anyone experiencing the same problem(s)? I was disappointed for over a year but now I have enough time to try things or even send the phone to LG for battery replacement (Root Checker is tripped. Hope it will work anyway if there is no other solution).
Here would be some screenshots of the battery life today but XDA don't want me to do that so I will describe it for you:
Time from 100% to 0% was 7 hours.
Display on time was about 3 hours with 1 hour 100% and since then auto brightness.
In the statistics the display used 39%, the OS 13%, the system 10% and the rest is below 5%
Sorry if my english is bad anywhere in the text I am trying my best.
I hope you can help me with my problem and have a nice day
Small additional info:
I am charging my phone when its about to die before I go to sleep where I would charge it normally. As Example if I use it "too much" for videos or browsing I am charging it while going on with that. And I am not the 100-4% and then full charge person. I charge it when it is possible because it drains so quick. Maybe I harmed the battery over time by doing it but it was also bad when I got the phone new so anyways.
Note 4 unrooted, Stock 5.1.1
Fast charging enabled, great battery life untill about a week agoo.
All the sudden my battery have been acting strange. For starters it drains extremly fast! tried every damn app to see what is causing that! Cant find any thing. removed the battery and still dosent help
And just now i had 13% battery and 1 secound later it was down to 1% !!!!
I put in the fast charger and it says it cant charge, but charge icon is still there!
1 secound later its 3% and after that it jumps to 40% then gets back to 25%
Sounds like a bad battery bub. My first battery went Ro hell randomly like that and I found it literally was just that battery. I ordered a replacement plus little charging back up kit on amazon and that battery is normal.

That's pretty much how mine started. It was at random, seemingly had no reason to do it honestly. But the first instance it had i believe 15% battery left and suddenly shut itself off lol afterwards I just got another battery on top of an extended battery which I refused to use the fast charging function with. I've read too much and experienced first hand it just wrecks batteries.
strange mine start doing the exact same today. Jumping from 60 to 20 to zero in minutes. Any one advise where to get genuine replacement, not the ebay crap.
Thanks

I live in Sweden, found many Original batterys.. So i dont think that would be a problem. The cost on the other side, thats a nother story!
Hmm.. I suspect fast charging as well. This is the first phone i used with fast charging, and first time that this happens to me.. And i have owned many phones. :S
Will close fast charging, thow its a damn good function.

Same thing happened to mine as well. Ended up buying a two pack of Anker batteries on Amazon, and it's worked like a champ ever since.
I had some really poor battery issues after 5.1.1, also about a month after dropping my Note in water...anyways, I did a factory reset after having 5.1.1 for a few days, and now the battery is doing great!!! 10 -12 hours with medium to heavy use.
I have now changed to a new battery and dont use fast charge anymore.. but now im using wireless charging instead lol
Anyways im still unhappy with the battery, i will do a reset when i get time.
I went from 50 to 1 one night. This was on KK. I upgraded to 5.0.1 (BOF) three days ago and the battery life seems more stable and longer lasting. Try letting it drain until it powers itself off (at night) and charge it off until it is full. I have had to do this on other Android phones (an S3 was one) and it corrected strange battery performance, readings.
Hello guys, since a while my battery was draining too fast, when it gets to 15-20% it automatically turns off or loses like 10% in a jump. I finally decided to buy a new one, it came with the original package, seems original to me. However things are the same, battery life is not good. I tried all kinds of calibrations, used the #*0228# code to reset the battery indicator and still im having the problem. Any help I would appriciate!
I have a similar or if not the same issue battery draining like crazy even under normal usage, i have received 2 new batteries tried various roms and the problem is consistent among all of them, today i got about 1 and a half hour of screen on time and then the phone jumped from 30% to 15% warning and then immediately shut down
I don't trust those "oem" batteries on ebay and amazon . I went with an anker battery when mine started dying as well and I couldn't be happier. Cept for the fact that it's a pain to turn on if I let it die but that's a mobo issue not battery. I'm prolly gonna have Sammy swap it for me now that I know it's on about 70$
