Hi,
I've been trying to make a recovery zip. When I run it it says error 6 and installation aborted.
What is error 6?
Can someone provide a link with all the error codes?

Maybe a version issue? You could try older versions of Clockworkmod recovery.

error 0 is normally to do with the scripting used - update-script or updater-script

What am i doing wrong here, or how can i just return to the stock fido rom, please help.

Just put Liquid in Restore mode -> Volume UP + Camera + Power button and with Acer Tools flash it again with some BIN file. Its ease.
If you need more help- say
Never used Clockwork Recovery.
Install MalezRecovery and flash the ROM you want to flash without signature check.
Or flash a ROM which is signed like LCR-F- http://lcr-team.org/v1/index.php
Or just flash a new bin:
Here is a how to guide- http://android.modaco.com/content/a...rial-how-to-flash-bin-files-on-acer-liquid-e/
Here is a link full of bins- http://android.modaco.com/content/a...uid-liquid-e-all-roms-bin-extract-collection/
I just flashed the latest nightly never had install probs. Used latest clockwork and when I go to flash I get an error that says failed to load boot.img and status 7 installation aborted. Any help to fix this? Thanks

One of my brother's friend made "something" to my brother's phone trying to update it.
In short, he bricked the phone (p700), which is looping on boot animation.
What I tried so far:
-I used KDZ and pushed the V20A_00.kdz that has CWM 6.0.2.8, still no boot
-I tried to install a Custom Firmware got error "Status 7" telling me that the CF I wanted to install was for the p700 and my device is a "u0"
Now I'm stuck at this point, what am I doing wrong?
-I thought of pushing a valid p700 build.prop through ADB, but "su" command doesn't work.
-I thought of editing the "scriptupdater" file of the CF, first I tried with this method this time it doesn't give me "Status 7" but it aborts the installation without furher explanation
At this point I'm starting to lose hope, I really want to fix this, please, could you help me?

When I don't edit the "getprop" part of the updaterscript I get "status 7" error as expected. "This is for p700 devices. Your device is u0"
When I do edit it: "installation aborted"
I will search for it tomorrow, for now i must sleep, its 00:00 in my town,am sleepy.

You have to update your recovery with Rom Manager or flash the latest TWRP with CWM ( TWRP is an other recovery ) ! No need to edit anything !

Sometimes, the problem happens when your recovery is outdated. So, download ROM Manager and in the app you'll be able to update CWM. If it's already update, download TWRP by @tudorsbird and flash it with CWM. Your recovery will be TWRP but you won't be able to restore backups performed with CWM. If you can't boot but have a SD card, you can put TWRP on the card and flash it.
Or, you can try this ( with Fastboot ) to flash a new recovery :

hi guys, i want to updata to cm11,so i install the twrp 2.6.3.2, and wiped dalvik, system, data and cache without backup. but after that when i try to install the CM11, it told me
set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
E: error excuting updater binary in zip <my cm11 rom>
error flashing zip
and failed at last.
cuz there is no os on my phone, i don't know how to deal with it.
i looked it up and found that might be a TWRP issue, but i don't know which version should i use and how can i install it? cuz everytime i try to use adb push, it told me error: closed.
i m really anxious now,need your help.
forgive my bad english, and please give me some advice asap!!!!!!thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

your going to have to flash CWM, also what rom are you on? it sounds like your aboot image is not right
4.4 Roms can not be flashed using 2.6.3.2 you need to find a version of 2.6.3.3 or 2.6.3.4 for your device.

2.6.3.3 and .4 typically come in a flashable zip. You flash it in twrp like you would a ROM and it updates it.
If you do not have a ROM downloaded you can use to get back to a ROM to download side zip file, then you should check the thread on here (that you should have originally used to get your recovery image to flash on your phone.)
And follow the directions on there how to push it using adb. Once that's done you should be able to flash normally.

Update? Please reply if it worked for you.. And i would recommend u to use CWM, because alot of people, experience problems using twrp including myself..

Hi everyone,
Today I tried to update my Nexus 4 with adb sideload, everything worked fine until it said that my build.prop has been modified.
Which at some point I remember I did change something but im not sure what it was.
Can any of you guys maybe provide me with the original build.prop file or atleast its contents so I can verify that I have the same things.
Exact error message: ( couldnt take a screenshot in recovery mode,)
Verifying current system. . .
''/system/build.prop'' has unexpected contents.
E:Error in /tmp/update.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
Thanks in advance
When you tell me, which android Version do you have currently installed, I can maybe give you.
