[Q] Nokia WH 207 help - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

Hi,
I just happened to use the Nokia WH 207 on my friend's Nokia phone, and I must say, I loved it. So, I plugged it into my x5, and I was surprised to find out that the mic too was working. The only problem is that the button sends a different signal than my stock earphones. Based on the fact that the music player skips tracks when I press the button, I think it sends the right button signal of a three button headset. I've read somewhere that it is possible to modify the kernel so that it masks some signals into others.
Would it be possible for someone to help me do this?
Regards,
Soumen

Microphone Input Pass-Throgh & Uninterrupted Recording

Hi
I have two things I would like to do with my XDA 2 that I am currently finding I can't do:
1) Immediately output throught the speaker the live microphone input. I say this because I have an iPod and sometimes id rather use a speaker than earphones. Instead of carrying a set of portable speakers, the speaker on the XDA 2 would be most convenient if I could directly output an incoming audio signal. I have an adaptor so I can cleanly play through the music on the iPod and interferance would not be a problem.
2) Record sound clips either in wav or mp3 format as I currently do using Notes, but not have this intterupted by switching program or using the phone. I would like this simply to continue recording until it runs out of space or I return to the application and stop it. In addition a start/stop combination of the Notes button would be desirable say hold for 3 secs to start/stop rather than currently holding the button down for the entire duration of the recording or fiddling to tap the record button on the screen.
Im sure that both of the above are possible using some sort of software that I can download or buy. If anyone has any ideas id be very grateful.

Hey man,
You can't, because there's no full duplex sound driver in the mda
Else we would have an answering machine too
Hmm.. I have a problem, that I hear sound from microphone in the dinamic )
So maybee it is possible. But for me it is big problem, because i can't hear normal sound (played on phone, phone call, etc.).. only mic )
I've got it after installing BCHS bluetooth patch on my qtek 8310.
ps. Maybee somebody have registry dump from 8310, because I can't find what happened and how to return it back...

Audio not working - i'd be really grateful if anyone could offer assistance

Hi there
This is my second O2 mini-XDA. The sound on the phone doesn't seem to want to work anymore. I can't hear alarms, hear anything making phone calls. It happened once before with this phone and seemed to go away by itself. I've got some important data on the phone so I'd love to not have to send it in. Anyone have any ideas about how to sort it?
Cheers
immy
Try if you got the sounds thru a headset..
It's possible that the microswitch inside the headphone connector is stuck.
I had the same problem. When I inserted mij headphone a few times it was solved.
The microswitch is for switching of your speakers and activate your headset.
Good luck
volume bubble
tap volume icon on start bar and turn the volume to on!
I had the same issue with the original Imate XDA. There is an issue with some of the HTC phones in which the cable of the speaker is broken. The easiest way to check it is to connect a headset and then see if it is working or not. If the sound is still not working, then you will need to replace the D2A audio chip. Is your phone under warrenty?
Regards,
A very common problem - had the same problem (fortunately, my PDA is still under warranty and, therefore, it was repaired for free). The chip that switches between the wired headset and the three built-in speakers just died and had to be swapped.
Some other people also state this can also be caused by using the wired headset, which causes shortouts when you insert / remove it.

Microphone Volume

Hi Guys,
first of: Great Forum!
I hope you can help me with my problem.
I bought an Car-radio from Blaupunkt namend "Hamburg MP68".
It has an buildt in bluetooth handsfree-phone system and it works great.
I should mention that there is an extra microphone connected at the radio and placed right on top of the horn at the steering wheel. So the signal of my voice goes into that mic..through the radio and via bluetooth into the phone.
BUT: I was told my voice is a bit bad to hear because the volume is too low.
Hope you guys understand what i mean..I'm not a native english speaker;-)
Sorry for that.
Back to the Problem:
The Blaupunkt support told me, that i can't turn up the microphone volume in the radio. It must be turned louder in the telephone.
I dont know any way to do this...
The system volume should have no effect on the problem I guess.
So there is still "settings/system/microphone AGC". There I find an option that the build in mic of the P4350 adjusts the level of volume concerning to my voice.. But does this effect the bluetooth signal that "carry's" my voice??
I bet it doesent.. So have you any ideas how to solve this ( I admit ) very special problem?
Thx
Last but not least: I'm using the original HTC windows mobile 6 rom... Yes there are guys like me out there using original roms... ;-)

Can't Answer calls using stock headphones

I don't know how it went unnoticed for this long but I can't seem to answer any calls using the little button on the headphone (stock ones, never tried any other)
I cant change music tracks either which makes me wonder why that little button is available on the headphone..
Is anyone else facing similar problem or is it a problem with my headphone?
{I am using the stock firmware version 2.1 update 1, Kernel 2.6.29}

Low microphone volume when using headset - Huawei P8 (Huawei GRA-L09)

Anyone else have the problem of very low microphone volume when using a headset on this phone?
I've tried multiple headsets, including the one it comes with and everyone describes me as "far away from the phone", I basically have to put the mic on my lips or inside my mouth to sound "normal".
When I use the same headsets with any other device (tablet, computer, whatever) it sounds just fine and the mic volume is no trouble.
I'm basically asking here since I can't find anything on it online, anyone have the same issue? It's kind of annoying having to take my headset out every time I want to use the phone which means my hands aren't available to do other things whilst talking.
If anyone can shed some light on this I would love it. I'm on the latest update btw but I have had this problem for as long as I can remember.
