[Q] Vega Market & Wifi - Vega General

Alright Guys,
I have been using the vegacomb 3.2 build 7 since it became available. However over the last couple of weeks the tablet will not show the correct time and date as well as not allowing me onto the android market (no connection).
Today I updated the software to the new build 9n which initially fixed this problem. Having powered off the vega and then powering back on, these problems have re risen.
( I patched the build 9n software over the build 7 having wiped settings/cache etc)
If anyone cud give me some tips on how to rectify this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

search the forum mate, there is a fix for the time/date issue some where, sorry i cant think where.....

Topic was on page 3 here in general forums:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1272839
Hope this helps you!
And I think new versions don't have this bug anymore, but if this is the only thing that's bugging you then you don't need to upgrade Vegacomb and just install that app to fix your problem.

Cheers guys, I initially had a look through the general threads and did'nt see that one.
Much appreciated

Freezing problem

hi there, i was wondering if you can help me solve my problem. im new to the o2 xda mini s phone. i just got this phone and its been flashed to wm 6. it keeps on freezing when i try to log onto msn or move items frmo my pc to the wizard.
is there anyway to fix it or better of to downgrade to its proper version. please reply promptly. thanks TIA
do you need any info on the phone? ill be happy to provide you if u can help me out !
jst a thought
one reason that you phone is freezing basically is that the wizards motherboard is not made to handle the wm6. its just like installing windows xp into a very old computer, the whole system lags down.
there is a way to downgrade it if you are interest. jst let me know.
I and a couple hundred or more people on here would probably beg to differ you on that opinion. I've been using windows mobile 6 on mine since just after it came out and I can't say as I've ever had a hardware related issue because of it. There have been a few software issues here and there, but they've always been fixed by someone on here.
I would guess that you may have an issue with an older version of WM6 and would probably be easily fixed with a newer version that you can find in the WM6 area of the wizard section. Before you go flashing anything though, do some reading in the stickies in the WM6 section to make sure you're flashing a new ROM correctly. There are 2 different versions of a wizard, a G3 and a G4 and each has it's own way of flashing. If you flash it incorrectly you could end up ruining your phone.

[Q] [Help] Need a developer please..

Ok, whats up guys, First off, My name is Silver, and I come to you in dire need of help.
Before I start, this is concerning the device, The Huawei Ascend (M860).
Recently, we here at myascend(dot)org have all been stuck on Android 2.1, and recently IcarusMod came out, and everyone updated to that.
But upon looking farther, I came across an 2.2 update that was released in China for the C8600 (The China Version of the M860). We tested it, and BAM! it worked...but with 2 problems. The Data Service and Wi-Fi did not work. Phone Calls and Text worked fine, but no Data. One of the Developers was able to crack the thing open and Deodex it and load it using Clockwork v2.5.1.8 (Which is how we got the phone calls working)
Apparently there are no APNs
I started doing some research and I thought that maybe if i transfer some of the system files like APN-Configs.xml into the zip, it might work. But alas, I failed.
MY QUESTION IS...Would a developer be nice enough to take this signed Froyo port and possible help make the Data work and Wi-Fi work. Here is the download for the Froyo Update(C8600)
(Note: FLASH USING CLOCKWORK v2.5.1.8)
Apparently, I cant post outside links, so if you could, please go to the site MyAscend(dot)org and you'll find my forum post under Development...Thanks...
Wrong forum I think.
bump?? This plox?
Check the build.prop for something like:
"rild.libpath=/system/lib/libhtc_ril.so"
Data wont work if it's pointing to the wrong, or a non-existent, file (correct me if i'm wrong).
Check your working ROMs and see what file it's pointing to, it might be different in the Chinese version.
Not got a clue about wifi though i'm afraid.
Ill do that! thanks, Ill talk to my friend about developing it....meh, this is gonna be a long project

[Q] Streaming audio via Bluetooth

Hi all, need a bit of assistance if you would...
I have recently bought a Vega, it is the stock 1.08 ROM which I have side-loaded Market etc onto... (had issues trying to flash custom ROM, but thats another story...)
My problem is when it comes to streaming audio via Bluetooth to my Samsung Home Theatre. The Vega discovers, pairs and connects successfully but only plays 2 seconds of music before disconnecting. I have tested the Home Theatre with my X10 and it works flawlessly so I know its not a problem with the equipment but the Vega.
Has anyone else encountered a similar problem and found a solution? Or could you point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance!
Paul
Alright... so I've been doing a bit more searching and found an app called "Bluetooth Fix Repair". Dunno if it will work or not, but I searched the Market for it - only the donate version appears when searching on the Vega - strange... Found it alright on my X10.
So, can anyone upload the apk so I can sideload it to the Vega - or tell me where to find the apk on my X10. I thought it was in /system/app but I'm either not 100% of the apk filename, or it's not there...
Here you go!
If you apply the fix from my rom add-on thread it will show in the market
Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=931337
Good luck with it!
Any help you need with that app, feel free to bother me
Cheers,
Phk
Thanks for your replies guys. I tried the bluetooth fix app, and it did improve the connectivity slightly - music played for about 4 seconds, stopped, played again for another few seconds then disconnected totally... arrrgghh!
So... possibly an issue with the ROM? Might need to wait for an update from Advent. Disappointing as I was hoping to show off my tablet for an upcoming party, but starting to look like my X10 will have to run the show instead!
Thanks again - if you have any other ideas, please feel free to fire them at me! (And I'll apply your patch for the Market later on, o-gman, thanks for that)
Damn.... I wish I had a tablet!
If you ran my bluetooth fix repair app, and then repaired, and then lost connection indefinitely..... The problem is with your ROM.
I made that program when i was on 2.1 and 2.2.. Now i'm running 2.3.1 and I don't need my app anymore. Also, when my app fixes the problem, it's only a temporary "dirty hack", so the problem will manifest itself again.
Sorry for not being able to fix it, but the problem remains in the blued.apk and bluetooth stack apk. It should be easy to change your bluetooth stack version, but i just can't make a program that calculates a version for each rom.
You should try (with a deodexed rom) to replace all bluetooth files from an earlier or newer rom.
Good luck mate,
Phk

Thanks Phk - while I understand, essentially, what you mean by installing the Bluetooth stack from another ROM - going about it is another matter. Would that be a difficult procedure? Can I rip the Bluetooth files from my X10, for instance?
Hi,
Two important things:
1) You shouldn't do it. It's complicated!
2) I can't help you all the way because we're not on the same HW\ROM
It really depends on how the stock roms for that device are released.
In my example, i have a Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 and Samsung's ROM are VFAT isos packed into Samsung's RFS containers, which means i can change my rom completely and then reflash it.
The particular apk files you need to test are everything you can find with:
"find -name *blue*apk"
from your "/" dir.
Anyway, first things first: You need to find a ROM that has bluetooth working! Then you will rip that ROMs bluetooth stack apks..
Sorry for not being able to fully help.
Regards,
Artur

Says it all really! haha - I won't go messing about with the Bluetooth stack then, just in case I mess it up even more. Maybe the next update from Advent will cure my problem (whenever that may be...)
Thanks anyway guys!

[Q] Some problems with Android

Hi,
I have started Android on my HTC HD Mini yesterday. The first thing I have to say, it works and it is so great, big thanks for the developers. But there are some problems with the light of the touchbuttons during the key lock. These lights never turn off. Is there a solution to fix it in the options, or somewhere else? Also the clock never shows the right time and it isn´t possible to set the alarm.
Android is so amazing, windows 6.5 isn`t! So, can someone help me, maybe it is my fault that it doesn´t work.
Thanks all for reading and answering
Bastian
Read the forums before posting of currently documented issues that you experience. Also you did not tell us which build you installed - so this is hardly helpful.
Download the latest beta build r134 here
Then install the latest temporary patch provided by munjeni.
I have now loaded the latest beta build r134 and it doesn`t work. I can`t start it on my phone. Also with the patch it doesn`t work.
Bak, Wowser had answered you.

[Q] E900 zune update to Feb2011 stops with 80004005 error

I have just bought a used E900 phone as I heard that it is running 75. or at least can be updated.
Now I have the phone here with a version 7.0.7004 on it and every thing I tried to update is bringing me a 80004005 error. I serached for hours an all possible forums including this one. There seems to be a lot of people which have this problem. Many are solving this by downgrading to the version I have on already. At least this is what I understood.
I factory (hard resetted) the phone already. I tried with the lgmobile tool to download the firmware (no connection)
Is there any hint which can help me solving this problem?
The original firmwares I found within this forum have all dead links. I am in germany and the phone s OPN already. (Was already when I purchased.)
Any tip help hint firmware guide whatever higly appreciated.
Michael
No update
Sorry to push this.
Has nobody any idea or is my question unclear?
I have bought a used E900.
Te OS is 7.0.7004.
When I connect Zune it tries to bring me the February 2011 update.
This always fails with error 80007004.
I searched the internet as well as the forum but could not find any solution on this.
Is there a workarround for this? I read that it helps to flash one of the firmware versions here in the forum but I am unsure which one to tale. The OPN versions are offline as far as I could see and I have a OPN version already.
Please any support would be helpfull.
Many thanks in advance
Michael
Same Problem here: Only "Fix" was to send it to Service. Got it back one week after with the Softwareversion I bought it with. Updated again and it worked.
