Problems with the screen..

Hey ive been having problem with my screen everyonce in a while and am wondering if anyone else has faces the same issues.
The problem is that sometimes my screen all of a sudden goes from its normal stae to some weird light blueish full screen type thing now when it does this you would think that the phone hanged or something but no it hasnt it works perfectly u just can see what the hell ur doing( ive even recieved calls in this state) i tried resetting it but still no go but if i take out the battery and wait a min or 2 and then turn it on again it would show the screen properly for a few seconds and then go weird all over again.now when it does this by trial and error i leared that if i press on the down key area ( the button under the screen ) and squeez the area it then clears up sometimes for a few seconds only so i redo it an then it works perfectly for a week or 2 or 3 then it does it again.
Anyway question is anyone have any idea whats up with it? and should i be thinking of dumping the set on someone before if stops working permenantly or should i jus live with it ( im cash strapped and dont think i can get any other phone with the kind of functions this one has with the money id get from selling this one)

well try and open it and disconect and then connect the screen to the board...just to make sure put a paper clip over it so it doesn't come off...if that doesn't work...dump it on someone

Hi all,
since 2 days ago I have this problem. The screen switch off itsel,and sometimes the power buton just doesn't work.
Also, sometimes, pops up the window saying if I want to swich it off, like when we press the power buton for a few seconds...but without doing it!!
I really don't know what to do, is very anoying. I thought might be because the other day I went for a walk, and was raining, so could get wet(?) ..don't know if that could be the problem, but anyway, that was friday, and today Sunday still happen the same.
Any ideas? Might get the buton blocked? If so...how do I unblock it?
I check the screws, and don't know what tool would be good if i need.. might be an special one ?

Screen switches off
I have a Tytn (Hermes) the phone comes on sometimes and works , then on occasions it would be on , but the screen is off . The backlight stays on but nothing on screen. Push the power button and sometimes it will come back on , other times i have to remove the batt and wait a couple of hours before the screen comes back on . When it is like this then even if you reboot , it goes past the htc logo and just before windows loads the screen goes off .I have re installed the shipped roms again as at first i thought it was a software problem . I can see my phone on active sync and i can also load software to and from the phone , even with the phone screen off . any suggestions would be appreciated . Thanks

wonder if anyone can help me.
Ive had a few problems with my phone ever since i stared to change the roms on it. Something i have just put up with as it goes with the flow. Anyway just recently my phone is really being a pain no matter what rom i have installed . It just turns off or freezes and has also now started to play silly games like all of a sudden everything starts opening on the phone, and sometimes the screen dimms to black then goes off and wont turn on unless i leave the battery out for a good five mins. anybody got any ideas about this all help would be welcomed.
JUst updated the Radio rom to the lastest one i could find on here seems to have helped a bit.

Have you disassembled it or got it wet? One of the hardware buttons may be stuck. Are they all working?

No all the buttons work ok mate. this evening ive tried a different rom and it seems to be ok ill run it for a few days see if it improves or goes back to being a pain.
I was wondering if it could be the battery its about 12 months old now (due an upgrade an dthinking of the diamond), Phone normally gets fully charged every couple of days.

is it my screen or the ROM?

hi everyone, this is my first official post on the forums, and well i need ur help on my phone, for some reason when i slide my phone the screen shows like random lines etc, then when i slide it back it does the same, and itll take like a good 30 mins to get the screen right to its proper look, usually itll show like blue, or green, and even sometimes i get that "White Screen" where id see it everytime i slide or slide it back so idk, and even when i soft reset, either the screen is out of line or itll show those random lines again also to add to that sometimes the soft keys on the front dont work at times soo idk if its the ROM i just put in which was from T-Mobile or my screen :/.....i need ur help, cuz i might consider getting the screen replace or load the bootloader....appreciate the help and btw heres my video i just posted to give a good clearance of what im talking about and when i show the phone up close im fiddling with the power button to show how it is, thnx

im sure its the rom, i used pdaviet's rom and it did that ****. i replaced it with a different rom and it never did it again.

well i just redid everything and EVEN on the bootloader still had the whacky look on the screen...

ok well i put the old rom, the one that came with when i first got it, and still no luck....could it be a faulty screen connection? or the screen dying? and btw the phone has a real irritating noise.... and also on bootup he screen wont be aligned....idk what to do...

God..... Vital information you didnt put in... if you hear the noise, then its a goner. it prolly has a leaky capacitor, or the screen is some how desoldered and shorting out the board.

well whats the best bet? should i get this repaired as soon as possible???? or get a new one? and doubt bout the second reason, cuz the noise stops when my screen is off(of course) and sometimes when its in portrait mode, ya the screen would be on and would be white but none of that hating noise

Unlock screen

Hey there,just got my Hd2 yesterday,its an awesome phone,however im encountering this problem..When i lock the phone,and keep it idle for some time (10 mins),and then try to unlock it ( slide the tab ) it doesnt respond..I mean the phone just doesnt respond to my finger movements as if its dead..Can you help me out ?

Hello, it's my first message also.
If I understand well what you're meaning, you encounter problems for unlocking the phone ?
I think I had almost the same issue, but figured it out quickly, I think: the unlock slider is special for practical or security reasons. As far as I know (I have the HTC Leo for one month only), the unlock slider needs to be pressed a very little longer in order to become active (it becommes white) before you can slide it right or left.
It's not an issue in the end, but I hope we're talking of the same thing.

When it responds and you can use it normally, you could try a hard reset (Settings>Security> Factory reset)...
