i hav xperia x8 with gingerdx 017
my battery is 100%
but after 2:54:26
my battery is 92% im not using my phone
only 2g networks, digital clock widget only
this is normal ? hmm
Usually to me, the first 10% of the battery (from 100% to 90%) is kinda very weak, discharges without doing anything. After 90% it gets normal.
I suggest you check out my fix for battery drain on Ginger ROMs. Link in my signature. Maybe it helps

I dont really get it how to use this app. When i enable battery to the max,my phone become kinda slow. Is it the same thing as using powersave governor?
Sent from my X8 using xda premium
Well the app sets the cpu speed at 480 mhz,so that's why it's slow

If you take a look at his screen, you will see that it seems his screen was on a lot more than your (around 2 times more ?) but consumes a lot less.
So it seems his battery life is realy great... but we don't know how he uses his phone.
Instead of bigging up your ego's, explain how you got that battery life, you guys are nearly as bad as the dicks that brag about quadrant scores, streamline your uselessness.

Without any usage data, the OP is useless. With light use and sporadic data, my battery level is down to 65% after 48h which I consider great. Stock KE2.

Agree useless ... need more information to give any sense.
On my not rooted, non freeze, no Juice Defender, stock KE2 (upgraded to KE7 yesterday) phone:
+1 day heavy use
+2 days medium use
+5 days light use (mainly standby)
man I am tired of this battery screenshot showing off threads..
if someone uses 3 hrs of screen awake time out of 53 hrs..its the same thing as my battery lasting one day with 6+hrs of wake time..
everyone just bull***ts 1+day battery screenshots and fills ups the forum like junk..
some1 shud moderate this..
hi
i was using the device and it was fine untill i've tried the leaked ICS, after i restored my backup that i made, the battery seriously drain fast. i charged the phone up to 100% and put it on stand by and went to sleep, after i waked up it was on 30% that almost everything went for the "android os"
from what i read on other posts it's the kernel that not good but i was made a full backup and restore so how can it be? anyway if it is the kernel problem, could someone recommend me a good kernel, i prefer original, and if there is no original that took care that problem, i prefer one without any overclocking and stuff like that, that risk the phone
thanks

Download and install BetterBatteryStats, and repeat what you did (charge to 100, let sit for hour or so). Open BetterBatteryStats app and look at "Partial Wakelocks", that will tell you what is keeping your phone from sleeping..
BetterbatteryStats can be purchased on Market, or free in this thread..

Unless you have several days' records, it is hard to tell. I find many times that one particular process or event has kept my phone 'awake' all night when it usually does not. I typically find the culprit using the method mentioned above, and kill it's event listeners with Autorun Manager (needs root).
If it is the kernel, I have found Abyss to be quite a bit better than stock. Others claim Franco is better, and it certainly has less CPU tweaking allowed, so may be preferable to you.
Having said all that, having rooted a friend's Note and killed bloatware but left the stock kernel & ROM, it is currently sitting at 70% after 3 days and 12 hours. Most of that is screen off as I only check a couple of times a day, and WiFi is sleeping when the screen is off. It also does not have a SIM card in, but it is connected to the mobile network (for emergency calls). I am not sure how much difference that makes.

From 3.0.2
I have battery drain and some people say and post comment at MiniCM9 thread what are best settings. "But I can't find it"
My settings: ONEMAND--> 122/600MHz ---> Undervolt
Why is my battery time better in previously version of rom?
I delete all tasks in backround and I have the same settings in both.
Can someone help me and give me answer, for the best settings and for no LAGGY.
I know that is one thread about battery time- HERE,but I dont see anything about settings!
to all those who suffer from battery lifetime:
just leave the phone charging after the 100% for extra 2 hours or something. U don't need to tun it off or wipe stats, just leave it over charge. U don't even need to play with system files
i use OC 748, 2G only, swap partition, wifi off when unused and battery is fantastic ! see attachment !

I charged all night just once - yesterday to today! Of I charged it to 100% and stop it, battery is good but it lost a lot of %, I can't use it for one day
1-Charge your phone to 100%
2-Poweroff your phone and leave it charging for 1-2 more hours
3-Boot on CWM and wipe battery stats
4-Go to build.prop and find this line "ro.telephony.ril.v3=1,icccardstatus,skipbrokendatacall,datacall "
Add qcomuiccstack at the end of the line. It should look like this :
ro.telephony.ril.v3=1,icccardstatus,skipbrokendatacall,datacall,qcomuiccstack
5-Enjoy
I've done that and my battery became immortal

Ok,thx
ive been messing around running the "power saving mode" for the past 3 days. its supposed to underclock tbe processor, I can confirm it does not and my battery life is basically identical to "non-power saving mode". it still runs to 1890mhz and I get the same 4-4.5hrs kn screen time on a full charge. is this a big crock of BS or is it my phone? anhone else try this and have the same issues? thanks in advance

well I figured it was going to cut down the mhz like it says, but thats not the case. ill just root my phone when I get home from vacation and mess with it a little more..probably just mess with root at first to underclock&undervolt then remove the bloatware I have disabled, plus a few tbat you cant disable. all before I install any custom roms.
I've had it on since I got the phone Monday and I'm at 8 and a half battery life

All the battery saver apps are crap. Use better battery stats and learn about wake locks and how they effect your battery life. That's the only way you'll get better battery life. There is an excellent write up in the i727 forum

Nothing. Your device and all devices consume power on standby, this is unavoidable. Your battery going down 6% in almost 4.5hrs is not bad.
If you want to reduce standby consumption disable sync, GPS, mobile data, WiFi, and limit the number of background processes in developer options.
Your Android system is slightly high but really you don't have a problem.
Basically if your device is not charging it is discharging.

agreed.. plus your android os is not really high its just that you werent really using the phone so the os on standby was pretty much only thing consuming your battery.. now if you did use it id guarantee your display wouldve been highest.. i removed bloat.. got all sync turned off except for gmail and a few other ones i need and i use greenify.. i leave wifi or 4g on alll the time but i think even with my stuff on id get better lofe than you did cuz the way my phone is set up.. if uoure rooted i highly recommend greenify

Relax. .
6% battery in 4 hours is not bad. There does seem to be random wake locks with the s5 tho. My Note 3 had the same problems. I have no idea what triggers it.
