Hi. I am looking for some advice with regards to how I receive calls on my Xperia X10i. Basically, the story goes as follows...normally when I receive a call I have to do that swipe thing to accept the call, however, at very random times instead of the swipe I get the option of pressing 'Accept Call' or 'Decline Call' which are displayed on the lower part of the screen side-by-side. Now, to be perfectly honest I actually prefer the latter option but do not know why it is so random. To be clear, I have never updated my phone since I got it and I have searched the settings but not been able to locate anything which would explain this.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Kind regards
Scott
It's not random u'll get that if the screen is already on.

Unfortunately, you can't. It would appear that this option is only available when your screen is unlocked at the time you receive a call, otherwise you have to swipe to accept the call when the screen is locked.
1) Download Profile Manager from Market
2) Create a new profile
3) Ensure that vibrate is ticked
4) Apply profile
Incoming calls should now ring and vibrate. Notifications are still without vibration.
Setting should stick between reboots and switching to and from silent mode.
YMMV. Post issues if any.
Thanks
Thanks.
Whats also useful: smart vibrater app from the market. Its possible to activate sms vibration with it. You also can use vibration patterns, for example long, short, long or whatever you want.
i used the normal icon from the nova luncher on ICS and it work perfect sms and calls

Which icon from nova launcher do you mean?

Hi, I had that problem on xxlph and solved it with "Sound Manager" from the market and it works great! On the aplication you only have to go to menu/vibrate settings/vibrate whenever possible and thats all.
Hope it helps.

Hey guys, I enjoy my Note 3 very much, but is some kind of a "problem" that annoys me. When I'm using the phone for texting, playing etc. And someone calls me I'm accidentally rejecting the call many times. Is there an option to "delay" the phone response when receiving a call?

Under Settings-Device-Call-Incoming call notifications if its checked then uncheck, it's enabling pop up of call notification when screen is ON, so instead of sliding finger to accept call u have one touch accept & reject, I can see only this possibility atm.
+1

I'm using the native messaging app and cant figure out how to turn on the message notification during a call. Is this not a feature of Marshmallow?

I have the same issue. It's annoying the piss out of me. I'm coming from an HTC7 so maybe that just spoiled me?
Any of the custom Roms have this option?

go into your settings>sounds and notification >interruptions. Here you can edit what notification will interrupt you while being on a call. (Copied from a thread on XDA )
OR
Use tasker. Make a profile that makes a short vibration upon receiving a notification. You could use a sound instead of vibrate.
Unless im overlooking it, there is no interruptions option under settings > sounds and notification.
From what I can tell "interruptions" was replaced with "Do Not Disturb".
I'll have a look at tasker.
Ever since I upgraded to OB8, I'm experiencing a weird and very annoying bug. On every incoming or outgoing call, my phone app gets automatically "minimized" as if home button is always pressed. What I always see is the little green pill on top left which I have to always press to bring back the phone app. I have no idea how to fix this. Please anyone help. I'm on international version and unrooted.
Thanks
try google dialer and see if it happens theres a patched apk somewhere around here. also might be the picture in picture settings under settings> app> phone/dialer.
Thank you for your feedback! I tried Google dialer in the past, it was always preferred until the VM stopped working, then I was forced to switch back to stock dialer. I also checked the PIP settings but the phone app it's not listed there. I guess I'll switch to Google dialer in interim. Thank you.

It's so bad that at times I don't even get the incoming call and people report calls go straight to VM. This needs to be fixed ASAP
Yeah same here on Google phone
