Try Button Savior. Root required.
Open it and press 'Kill/Start Button Savior Service'. Then press on the arrow on the right.

Hi jhonny,
I've installed Button Saviour (BS) on my ICS CM9 beta3.
When I hold HOME 'button' of BS it correctly display list of running (or recently opened?) applications but when I HOLD the POWER 'button' it does NOT display menus as it should (if I press it it will turn off the display)
Do you have any idea why?
Thanks

Which buttons exactly. It does not work for windows button. For home and back it does not work for single press (aka always default option). In regards of home and back buttons the single press is always stock while you can setup only for one of them long press. It will work on home and back.
Volume up/down works single press, double press, triple press and long press works. Single press, double press and long press works for phone green button. Nothing seems to work for phone red button as it always switches off the device.

N1 power button long press mapping!

Hi all
is there a way to map the power button long press functionality to a power control button or a simple widget on the home screen?
u know i usually don't touch power button to prevent it from getting broken; but now in CM7 the long press opens a box to choose the user profiles, and i need to have that option
thanks in advance

TBH, it is kind of flaky. What I ended up doing was using an app to link a long press of the HOME key to SCREENSHOT.
Works much better that way
Swipe up from the home button and use quick memo on the right. It takes a screenshot and then you just press save.

I use the exposed module "Advanced power menu" so when I hold down power, I can reboot, reboot in recovery, power off, or take screenshot....

Now this I likes!!
Nice! Didn't know about the swipe up from home and forgot about the Advanced Power Menu. I was using that at one point and in the process of putting on new roms all the time I forgot to re-engage it.
Thanks for the protips!
Anyone know how to remap the "Home Swipe Left"?
I would like to see voice search there.

[Q] Launch Google Now with double press on home button

Is there to replace S Voice with google now when I double press the home button? I searched the forums and found that if I use Nova launcher..is there a another way? Thanks.
Why double press when you can just hold the home button and it will launch Google Now. Just like if you hold the task switcher you will get a menu button.

Configure left button

Hi,
I was using with my Note4 an older application . The only way to access the menu in this older application was long pressing the left button key. Now when pressing the left button key , you have the split screen view . I know how to disable the split screen view but not how to reconfigure this left button.
to access the menu of this application
Any idea please?
Thank you,
Daniel
You may be able to do this once rooted and using xposed, but doubt it without this (as on previous models)

Try All-In-One-Gestures. Worked for me. You can setup your hardware (Touch) buttons.
Yeh i use that app, love it
Long pressing back button works for me. It takes a little longer than previously but at least it's still there.
