Does anyone know the storage space on the Elocity A7. I thought it was 4GB, but when I look in the settings, I see:
Total space 1.53GB / Available space 1.53GB
Does that sound right? It seems quite 'low.'
Please advise and thank you.
I asked this question a month or so ago, but never received an answer.
Would someone please respond this time?
I tried to edit but guess I can't. Don't know why though.
I notice on Amazon that it says Elocity A7 has 8GB storage.
Is that correct? Rather than my 4GB storage?
4GB is all. that including system rom + data + cache + boot etc...
you got the remaining 1.5GB for data. and add a microsdcard to increase it (use cyanogenModa7 to utilize the sdcard storage for apps)
no elocity with internal 8GB exists, only 8GB as microsd and thats probably why.
can we do a full image of the sistem 4GB APX mode by using
nvflash --rawdeviceread 0 7775616 allsys.img

Anyone Know how to delete "APP2SD" from my sdcard?
I've Already made some partitions on my microSD 2GB, after I've finished the partitions, my storage in my MicroSD card change from 2GB to 1.5GB.
and, last day, i bought new MicroSD 4GB, and I put my 1.5GB SDCard, and put into my Windows Mobile Omnia Pro.
and I wanna turn back my 1.5GB into 2GB again.
but how?I've already format it, and I've already made 0mb partitions from Recovery, but it's still read 1.5GB...
any suggestions?
it says not enough memory.is it same for you too?
I haven't had this on the SGS2 as it has 16GB of internal memory but if you're having trouble then download something like this which will allow you to move all apps to sd.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.app2sd&feature=search_result
Failing that use the ADB script that is floating around on the forum.
Just make sure you don't move widgets or live wallpapers to the SD card or they won't work at startup.
app2sd didnt work.it is still same.and when i checked my phones storage it shows:
total space: 11.50gb
why not 16gb?
Some space is reserved for System data, some space is reserved for Personal data, and some space is reserved for Application data, so you only end up with about 11GB of usable space. I know this to be the case for the Tab so I presume it'll be the same for the SGS2.
I also believe you need root access to use stuff like app2sd?

Click to collapse
Because there is space reserved for the ROM/OS and for Apps. 11.50GB is the internal SD. You also have about 2GB of space for apps. And some space is for the OS I believe.
i see.maybe that not enough error because of,system doesnt see the 11gb phone storage as an external storage and it means you dont have an sdcard so you dont have enough space?
I don't have an SGS2, but as I believe it is pretty much the same as the SGS1 which I do have.
apps2SD is for moving apps to a removable SD card. If you don't have an SD card in how do you expect to move to it?
The internal SD card is partitioned into several drives, for the rom, cache and includes a 2GB drive for installing applications to. After this it has about 11.5GB left for personal use, eg music, pictures, whatever. None of these partitions are considered the external SD.
Personally, I have never found a need to actually use apps2sd on the original and I can't see much need on the S2.
So I decided I needed more space so I went from my 4gb sdcard to 16gb. I copied the image from my 4gb then wrote that to my 16gb. Everything works fine but I do not have the extra space. I have about 12gb of unallocated space.
I read that I am suppose to "extend" the partition using easeus partition manager. I loaded up the program and it gave me no such choices. How exactly do I do that? Also, was I suppose to format the new 16gb card? I never did that. I just put the image on it. Any help would be appreciated.
it should allow you to select a partition to resize.
I think I am making some progress. I was able to format the 12gb portion now I have another portion that has 2.2gb unallocated. Can I do anything with that?
Think I got it
Hi everyone!
I acquired a GT P3110 8GB but now I am receiving messages about low storage space. And really there is only 180MB +- available.
The strange thing is that it show that I have only 4GB internal storage. A friend installed the AOKP 4.1.2 for me.
Is this correct Is there a way to recover my 8GB if it's not correct?
Can I restore it to the stock version of android (Samsung version)?
Thanks a lot
You lose about half your storage to the OS and system data partitions. That's why you are seeing only around 4GB of user accessible storage.
Yep, only 4 GB left...that's way too short if you are into gaming. But only for photos and stuff like that, it's ok, and you can always use a microSD card for those.
Still misleading though.
Hi guys.
On my latest post I saw that I'm using LineageOS with encryption but I think that I have a problem.
I have 16Gb as internal storage and 32Gb SD card as external. I formated to use SD card as extended internal storage. On storage settings display correct 9Gb used from 43 Gb total storage, but ES File explorer and Windows 8.1 display that I have 4.95Gb used from 10.82Gb total storage.
How to I solve this? Thanks.
Regards
@joubertredrat
That's calculation of all partitions (system,, OEM, and many one)..
As you know from PC it shows 10GB total and in Screenshot (of storage) it's 14GB.. that means 4 GB is covered for System and other partition purpose (which is not calculated by PC and it cannot be used for user purpose), while you have used 4GB out of 10GB...
I hope i explained right..?
@____Mdd I also thought it was a miscalculation but is very strange, It is as if display only the internal storage and not SD card.
For me this is very strange.
