You should be able to use superoneclick to root it, but there are no custom roms that I'm aware of for the p1010 wifi only tab.

does it work for the wifi only (GT-P1010) model?
Can not make call after installed Overcome_7_Series_v4.0.0_Wipe
I'm totally noob here.
I bought the galaxy tab AT&T with Kratos installed and eveything work well as it should. But after I installed Overcome_7_Series_v4.0.0_Wipe and the this no longer make call anymore, and here what I see from my tab's setting:
Setting>About Device and under "Status": the tab able to display my phone number, "Network" sometime display T-Mobile" and sometime Not, "Service state" sometime say "in vervice" sometime say "out of service".
Please I need all of your help out there to show me how to fix my tab to be able to make phone call again. Thanks in advance.

Edit your build prop.
If you used an A500 rom you may notice that 3G no longer works... The A500 roms that say 3G is enabled means they use a 3G dongle, NOT the internal modem....

Personaly I think it's possible , you need the 501 build.prop and ril from the system/bin and kernel from the a501,
and in etc/
-permissions/android.hardware.telephony.gsm.xml
-ppp/files from A501
-acer_ril.db
-apns-conf.xml
and you are ready to go I think.
Interesting. I have an idea now,, Thanks Civato
Funny, all I read in the OP was "how do I change the model number of my tab" .
Or did I miss something?
Thanks for all the replies... Before I did the update I checked the ota one first and it was the exact same thing for the 500 as for the 501... I do not use a sim card in my tablet, I just tether data from my phone. I did the update and everything works perfectly... The only thing I want to do is change the model number in the about tablet settings. I know how to access the build prop but I do not want to change any values in order to avoid messing anything up...
Im fairly new to the tablet world so you can call me a no0b.. Hehe. Thank you to everyone though for helping out and paying attention to my post!

Isn't the GT-P7510 a WI-FI only model and you say its a Telus which would be GT-7500 with 3g?

Guess it could be a Telus branded WI-FI only 7510 tab.
If it's actually 3g, or whatever they like to call their carrier service, and you can use their carrier service or anything other than WI-FI only. Then it's actually a 7500.
It could be some other crazy hybrid I've noticed being posted about lately other than GT-P7500 & GT-7510.
I'd check the back of the tab at the bottom and confirm what model you have before continuing to try to root.
Kinda hard to read, being so small and almost the same color of the tab, but the model number there is what I'd trust, at least more than the box.

Good luck finding a good ROM that is for a 7510 that supports anything other than WI-FI ONLY.
Of course if it is WI-FI ONLY I'd suggest Task 14.
Overcome ROMs have both 7500 & 7510 version so support may be a lot easier to get and more forthcoming there if it's anything more than WI-FI ONLY.

Hi,
I am using Samsung GALAXY S4 (I9500) and having samsung player which supports screen mirroring.
when i flash STOCK (official rom) it works properly(screen mirroring) but when ever i root my device or use any custom rom like OMEGA 11 it just shows me errors when it connected to player then automatically disconnects and says like "screen mirroring disabled" or " process cant be proceed some hardware issue"
i dont know why this problem is coming... is there any way to over come the problem

Same issue on Note 3
Newbie rooter here:
I am having the exact same issue on my Note 3 (N900) just rooted without custom ROM.
I have tried unrooting with Super SU and root checker shows no proper root access however the device status is still showing custom.
Really dissapointed that its not working now with my Samsung all share cast dongle.
Any advice or suggestions appreciated.
I am on WanamLite, with Perseus, screen mirroring works perfectly fine with my television.

DjeMBey has a working method. See this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2255190
I flashed the provided OFFICIAL STATUS MOD file via Odin & then used Wanam Xposed to 'fake system status'. This changed my Binary status to official & screen mirroring is now working on my rooted S4 (I9500) on 4.4.2 (19500XXUFNA6). Try it & let us know if it works for you ?

I wouldn't do it. Don't be so certain the hw is the same. Recovery and roots for 237 do not work on the 235. have not tried visa versa.
235 has a Marvell board and processor/SoC.
I don't think you can flash a 235 factory rom under any circumstances.
Variables:
If the 237 has a marvell board/SoC instead of a QUALCOMM snapdragon, you might be able to flash a custom rom for the 235 whenever one becomes available. There's none out there yet.
ROOT for the 235 just became available so roms may be around the corner.
The hw could be the same, however the partitions may be different.
You might try as a test to flash the unlocked 235 recovery on to your sprint 237. I can't promise you won't brick your 237, but I don't think that will happen. I'm not buying you a replacement 237 if it does..
Worst case I can see is the recovery flash fails and so you go ahead and reflash the factory recovery from the 237 stock rom.
Best case the recovery flashes and works. In this case, then you'd have an idea that flashing the entire 235 ROM might also work.
How did you root your T237?

I can testify this method worked for me on my brand new Sprint Tab 4 7.0 SM-T237P.
I have been unable to find any ROMS for it, and im kinda bummed out about it. I'm considering taking the tab back as I really enjoy a custom ROM, but I a not sure I can find any other tablet with cellular that is supported by any of the local carriers.

There's now a way to get the factory recovery (3e) restored to the device without losing root.
That's detailed further on in the same T237P root thread.
Question:
Do you have Sprint cellular voice calling on your T237P without using a Bluetooth connection with your phone?

Sprint doesnt offer it with voice plan. I did however drop my mobile plan, took the free tablet and ported my mobile number to google voice. I now use my tablet with google hangouts and my primary telephone, it works TERRIFIC! I have WIFI availably 95% of the time and I am getting away with a $20 per month 1gb data plan.

My Tab 4 T237 has a sim card
I just took the plunge and tried flashing a T235 recovery, this one to be precise: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/general/sm-t235-lte-rooted-twrp-2-8-alpha1-sm-t3027059
Good news: it didn't brick my device.
Bad news: it didn't work, either. Just forced me into download mode, and once I used Odin to flash the t237p philz, it worked fine again. Will continue to test and update.
---------- Post added at 11:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:26 PM ----------
Just tried two more versions of TWRP. Same result. Sadly, I'm fairly certain that mine has a Qualcomm SoC, and therefore using a t235 anything will never work.
Maybe I should teach myself to make a rom.

Let us know if any 235 roms work on our 237
Hey folks,
Any other (not T235 only) ROM worked for T237? This crap is driving me crazy! I'm thinking loading T335 ROM onto T237 as I believe it is on Qualcomm as well.
Good afternoon all,
I have had my Note 3 SM-N900 for a while and have just changed my sim for a 4G version, but I have no option for LTE option in Network Mode, so I am on H or H+
The phone was running Android version 4.1, so I decided to upgrade to the lollipop edition from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/official-lollipop-arrived-t3015128
Having looked around the net for quite a few hours, I noticed a file needs changing, which is: persist.radio.lteon.xml
With the help from the Xda forums I managed to root my device via the cf auto guide, I have checked the root and it is currently working, I have tried to find the file in:
Data/Properties/persist.radio.lteon.xml
The only file in there is persist.radio.lteon with out the .xml, I have opened the file and the text in there says true
When I go back into the Network modes, only these are shown:
WCDMA/GSM
WCDMA
GSM
Can anyone please help on this matter as I am not sure what else I can try, many thanks to who all helps.
Do I need to reflash to another version?
Many Thanks to all

Model SM-N900
Android v5
