Anyone flash Shuji 2.5 or Liberty X3 RC? - Droid X General

Just wonder if anyone has flashed either of these two Roms? They were just released over the weekend. I know battery life will be great on both. Just wondering what type of customization's they have before I flash. As well of any known bugs that either may have. Thanks fellas.

Going to flash Liberty 3 soon and will report back.

Yea I'm running Liberty 0.9 right now and I'm wondering which new one to flash. I already get great battery life on Liberty and love the ROM, but Shuji is definitely appealing for me to try.

I'm flashing Shuji 2.5 right now.

How is Shuji 2.5? What type of customization's and battery life??

Battery life was extremely great! Seemed to have the best battery of any ROM I've tried yet. There wasn't much to customize really, which is a disappointment. Kinda boring. I ended up just flashing the newest Liberty X3 and I love it. It has an ICS feel to it. Very smooth and framework is very similar to ICS. Hoping they come out with some new themes for Liberty soon.

I've flashed Shuji, but I would suggest Vortex if speed, stability, and battery life are what you're looking for. I have flashed many other roms, and so far Vortex eclipses them all. just my 2 cents

Ok cool thanks for the info. Thats what I was wondering. The developer just released Vortex 2.9 so I'll definitely be flashing this one.

Currently running LibertyX 3 coming from CM7.1 and I must say that this rom has the best battery life I have ever gotten coming from older versions of liberty, cm7, and so on. It is also pretty fast when navigation home screens and apps. I have not tried Shuji yet but what would that rom offer that I don't already get from LX3?

Huge fan of Liberty, ran 0.9 until CM7 became a bit more stable. Unfortunately, CM7's battery life is just too much of a hit to keep running it. Just flashed LibertyX3, and it's great! Seems much smoother than 0.9 and battery life so far is great. Heavy usage for 3 hours (restoring everything from backups) and still had 75% battery left.
Anybody flash shuiji or VorteX? I plan on flashing those in boot manager just to mess around.

I'll chime in with Liberty as well - been running it for about a week now. Best battery life I've had on any ROM so far. I know it's just a RC and some people are having issues, but I have not had any problems at all. Works great flashed over to Cricket as well, no issues with MMS or anything.

I have had liberty.9 gb and the sugui gb Im running cm7 nightlys for gb I prefer this the most 100s of themes, fonts, and all round good,I would also buy tomorrow tools great to have I bought it

CM6 Final vs CM7 RC4

I have been on the cm7 RC for about a month now. However its really not running optimally. I getting tired of the naggs. So I nandroid restored to my backup to cm6. Man what a difference. It's so much smoother. I know cm7 is not complete yet but froyo is still runs very well. Any of you guys feel the samek? Who is still rocking froyo?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Nope. Not here. Still on rc2 and I'd say its stable enough. I didn't think cyanogen would even go this far on rc.
Edit: I've found one unstable thing on my n1. The sense preview lags and choppy.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Yes froyo is miles smoother than cm7 and ginger bread stock. Scrolling apps, lists, webpages, everything is by far smoother on froyo. Makes a tough decision which ROM I want to run:-(
Cm7 rc4 has been as smooth as any 2.2 rom I've tried...now only if battery life was better than 10 hours I'd say it was perfect.

I'm going to Disneyworld!
Seriously, I have stayed of CM7 for now, since they haven't resolved the call wonkiness issue. I'll wait for CM7 final, or even 7.1. 6.1 is rock solid and by far the best ROM I have used in a loooong time. NO gingerbread for me yet. Stability first.

i find cm7 RC4 to be extremely good on battery. i can go 12 hours and still be at 60% rather easily. but i just find RC4 laggy and choppy. try loading a tapatalk thread with 30 posts, and scroll that sucker. now try it on froyo, its like a totally different phone, one's smooth, one's chunky as hell.
Battery life sux. But loading huge threads and fora is not a problem at all for me. Everything is snappy and awesome.

I'm on cm 6.1.1. It's the best rom I've ever seen. I tried cm7, but with a lot of wonks, it was unusable...

People face choppy scrolling because they don't wipe properly when coming to a new rom. Its a know fact that when you switch a rom, you've to wipe atleast 3 times before flashing the new .zip.
This is simply because, 80% of the first wipe doesn't wipe at all. ( both Amon_RA and CWR)
Always wipe 3-4 times and you'll never face the choppiness issue on any CM Roms.

Got tired of plain Android and CM7 wonks and other CM7/GB bugs, and tried Sense-based Froyo. What a difference. Going to stay there until (hopefully) a fully functional Sense GB port will be out.
What's the most stable Sense UI ROM?
eViL's NXSense 1.26. It's the only fully functional Sense ROM, unfortunately.
If you don't mind not having native hotspot capabilities - you can also install Desire HD ports (MM SuperHybrid 1.7 and eViL's 1.1beta).

I've always experienced lag when using adw launcher that comes with CM. Try giving launcher pro a go if you haven't. It made a difference for me.

i use launcher pro exclusively for the last 10 months or so...paid version. it is smoother for sure. but my scroll issues are ont necessarily home screen related. load any tapatalk thread, and it scrolls in chunks. handcent text items in a long list scrolls in chunks.
another bug in cm7, if you have battery text shown in the status bar, once you plug in to charge, after 20 minutes the homescreens become super laggy and skip. this continues until charge is complete, or you unplug. or if you turn off the percent text, scroll returns to normal smooth. i looked at the source code, and this new implementation is different than cm6 battery percent text version. seems using broadcast receivers, etc, or possibly the animation speed, is causing this issue.
i may edit the source to turn off batt percent when plugged in, since that's how cm6 functioned, and see if that fixes it. but i've been lazy pulling down the source.

interesting - what was it?, is there a thread that discusses the fixed issue? would be worth rooting for, i'm on stock gb and was thinking of going back to froyo cuz of battery issues.

(Q) What's your default rom?best one of all you've tried?

What's everyones default rom?
Best batteryy life?
Mine is mikshift and cm7
best ROM i've had is gingerbread shift deck (which i've been using for the past couple weeks), best battery life i've had was on AwesomeROM or MikShift
I'm really liking Mikshift OC'd to 1.5GHz. MikBrando GSense has an awesome look and feel (guess I'm partial to the Sense eye candy and 2.0 is slick) and it will probably be my daily driver once the kernel source is released and it can be OC'd. BrandoKC's green theme really gives it an "executive" look. On the other hand, Sense ROMs can't touch the performance of AOSP ROMs such as cm7 at equivalent clock speeds, but you pay for it with battery life. That's my two cents.
Sent from my MikShifted Speedy using XDA Premium App
ive been getting the best battery life on cm7. im on nightly 91 and using the stock kernel clocked to 1 ghz and i can easily go a full 2 days with atleast 15 percent left
default is cm7 stable 7.0.3.1 but lately i've been using shift deck and it's cool.
Shift deck is the very best rom imo. I love it and its better than CM7 to me.

I wish my GPS worked and I also wished my signal was better so that I could fully enjoy CM7. I keep having to go back to a sense rom to "fix" the GPS issue. I'm on Mikshift at the moment and it's sluggish compared to aosp, but at least it's fully functional for me.
I haven't tried alot of them, but I went with evervolv, I couldn't go back. Even trying cm7 after.

CM7 is the fastest, smoothest for me and I love the nightlies.

I'm on the stock rooted rom. I loaded the speedy kingdom rom, but was too laggy and too many FCs for me, so I switched back. I'm running the X99 kernel, running at the defaults (1.2 gHz max), and it's running like a champ. I could run it at 1.5, but it runs so good at 1.2, that I didn't feel the need to go higher. Battery life is good too.
cm7 and x99 is working like a champ for me. so far nothing seems out of place, and all my aftermarket applications works fine such as youmail, gvoice, and gmail pushes as well. 2032 on quadrant :O !!!

Have you tried Shift Deck with x99. It runs awesome, even better than the nightlies. My Quadrant went from 3380 to 3900 switching to Shift Deck. All my other benchmarks went up aswell.
I love deck's ROM also, SO fast. The bootloops are because of a new kernel he is trying. Don't worry he'll have it figured out soon enough. Anyways my favorite of all favorites has to be MIUI 1.4.29. I love the UI, it's fast, and by far the best battery life of any ROM I've tried.

Before the release of a stable AOSP ROM, the best battery life for me was AwesomeRom using a 1.8g bfq test kernel. I can't remember who the dev was since its been a while, but I believe it was Bcnice20. The ROM & kernel combo made my phone pretty snappy while also giving me like 14-16 hrs of battery life through heavy use.
On AOSP, my favorite ROM has to be Kush-Deck 1.2t so far. I just flashed Scary's Stable Kernel v2 last night. I have min at 245MHz, max at 1209MHz, and the governor set to "Smartass". I'm hoping those settings will give me the best experience in terms of performance, stability, & battery life.
I had been rawkin' an older version of Deck's ROM with the stock Kernel for a bit but after a while my battery life started going down hill. Before that i had been on different versions of CM7 for a while since RC 1 but battery life was even worse on those.
I've been pretty stoked on Deck so far and think I'll prolly keep rawkin this for a while. Especially since everything seems to be working well for me including GPS, Wi-Fi, 4G, etc.
Sent from my PG06100 using XDA App
I also use deck's rom with the newest x99 kernel. Miui is also nice, but I always find myself flashing back to an aosp rom after a day or so.

im not trying to figure out which one of the two is better im trying to find out which version of each ppl are using. there are a few different cm7 floating around and miui so help me pic a good one of each so i can try them both out and compare. first thing first battery counts think you
original MIUI here...
I started using MIUI 1.7.29 for a week now. Came from Bionix V 1.3.1 and I have to say MIUI is as fast as Bionix V was for me. I would recommend it to anyone, however I did have a few random reboots today. I assume it will be fixed very soon though.
MIUI revamped XX.
Based on 2.3.5

Neutrino vs Darkside

I know its all personnel preference. But what rom is better. I'm looking for that happy medium for smooth performance with GREAT battery life. I am already running cm7 bat whatever its its alright. I have no need for webtop. HDMI mirrioring would be cool of it was landscape and was stable. And wireless hot spot and working gps is a must. Just wanting to flash something new and stick with it tired of dashing different things and having to set up my phone again any help will greatly be appreciated

I've noticed 15-18% better battery on Darkside than that on cm7 and I used to get great battery on that one so go figure
Plus, all works here pretty smoothly.

right now on 4.4 lite version.
Although with all the cool stuff added on to the newer version it seems just a bit slower to me then back when i was on 2.xxx versions, but they are worth it.
still much better then anything stock though. (maybe it's just me, maybe it's not slower, or maybe it's just my phone, I don't know...)

Hi all,
i use both, jumping from Neutrino to DarkSide & vice-versa via Nand-BackUp (and trying also others).
Neutrino is so smooth, fast and battery +/- the same as DarkSide.
Anyway i've found the DarkSide surprisingly similar about performance. Then mind that if you like to use WebTop or LapDock ROMs based on CM7 as Neutrino haven't these features.
I like Neutrino but it is more like pre-beta stage to me. It takes too much tweaking to get it to act normal. Currently on darkside 2.8 using landscape hdmi support

I always keep coming back to DarkSide 4.2 Lite
It's been pretty stable, fast and has all the bells and whistles I need (specially Webtop and Fingerprint Scanner).
I'm hoping that some day I could stick with MIUI once it matures enough, I'm willing to let go my Webtop as long as I can use HDMI Landscape Mirror with my Lapdock.

The Darkside, the best based motoblur. Neutrino, the best ROM. Neutrino is smooth, CM7 based with MIUI camera.
Just flashed neutrino 1.4 some time back. I think the battery is draining rather fast. But i'll let it stick for another week before I go back to Darkside. Motoblur still has a lot of my contacts which won't show up when I install any of the cm7 based roms .
Between Darkside and cm7 I feel Darkside had rather significantly battery life. However, the customizability of cm7 may be worth the sacrifice. To each his own, pick your favorite.

Hi I have been running neutrino 1.4s ee for week prior to that cm 7.1. I think neutrino has been quicker generally but it is very stripped down so by the time you have added things back to it think it then seems to have slowed up a bit. Boot is very quick, but my GPS doesn't work. I think they're trying to fix in next update. Quite a few fc's too. Tempted to try darkside soon though.
Edit. And I just had my first random reboot! But for some reason I prefer it to cm...

Looking for stable rom that has a thread with updated links.

Hi all
I just got my D2 rooted and installed LiquidSmooth-ICS, however it is not as stable as I hoped. I am searching for the most stable rom for the D2 that can be used for full functional daily use, I think CM7 might be that rom. I have read the CM7 thread but all the links are no longer supported. I am kind of at a stand still right now and would appreciate any help in getting my phone on the right rom. Thanks in advance.
I'm using LiquidICS which I think is different than LiquidSmooth. It seems pretty stable. I use an HTC Rezound as my main phone so I don't use the D2 too often but I haven't had any issues so far. I had to download it from droidforums though

Just my 2 cents, but I ran Liberty on my Droid 2. Lean and fast...but most importantly, stable Unfortunately, the Droid 2 is kinda crappy to begin with, but the Liberty ROM seemed to get the most out of the device.
Hope you found something that worked well. As a sidenote, I ran CM7 on my Nook Color for quite some time, and I found it to be fairly good too.
