Replacement Parts For Nexus S 4g (Sprint) - Nexus S General

After an absolutely horrid sprint customer support experience regarding my los (topic for a diff thread) issues I traded my Epic 4g Touch to a guy on craigslist for a Nexus S. The screen is scratched pretty bad and so is the back cover. Any idea where I can find replacement glass and cover?
Thanks!

Hey, you can check this website. They sell all the parts you want.

Hmm... Then I suggest you try to ebay it. You are in US, aren't you? I think you should be able to get it from ebay US. if not, I personally don't think you can get it from anywhere else.
But I too recommend you try to contact with the shop link I posted. They should know if Nexus S I9020 SuperAmoled would be compatible with Sprint one. Good luck mate!

BUY a bricked one from eBay or somewhere. As long as the screen works, you can harvest from it.

Nexus one parts

Hello all,
I have a power button issue again. HTC fixed it once on warranty! Now I'm out of warranty. I have looked online found some good prices but most companies are in Hong Kong! Anyone have a good place to get parts? Thx in advance

Do you mins sharing your parts finds with me as i am in the same boat
Thanks
this is what i have found so far not sure of the quility of the parts
"http://www.htcrepairparts.com/" the flex cable has the bower button on it. Flex Cable for HTC Nexus One 59.99 is not a bad price but its in hong kong so it will take 6 weeks for me to recieve it. i was hoping someone here could give be a company in the states.
too bad they don't have any replacement trackballs.
the one's I've ordered from other sites have been really dark and discolored.
The trackball from a blackberry such as the old curve or Pearl ie. 8320 or 8120 is the same trackball as the nexus you can pick them up for free at a t-mobile corporate store if they have them in stock. I got two from the store I work at and replaced mine and have another for future replacement.

Not a problem

Sorry for the bump, but my LED flash just died, and I haven't been able to find it anywhere...I know it's its own little module, but I've only seen it packaged together with the flex cable assembly (considering emailing the htcrepairparts website folks and asking if they somehow sell it separately). Anyone have any ideas?

Possible buy..

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a att branded Nexus S, found one on Craigslist for $300..
I think its a fair price, Guy is local and I'm tired of my Inspire.
Reasons I would like to buy it, smaller screen size, pure aosp, battery life...
I just got the inspire about 3 months ago and will more then likely keep it..
What are things I should look for to make sure it is the real deal or just in general?
Any help is appreciated honestly.
I know I could wait for something better to come out ina few months but I don't use my phone for gaming, just purely alot of web browsing, texting and surfing forums..
Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
Only advantage to the Inspire is screen size. I have owned a Inspire and currently own a NS4G and I like both, but Nexus is smooth. When I buy phones I really just check cosmetic and play with it and check about phone to see what its on and browse the interwebs for a few.
Make sure it is truly the i9020a version and not the i9020t or some other variant. Otherwise it isn't truly the AT&T phone (would not work with 3G otherwise).
What should the about read besides 2.3.4 which kernal is stock etc and thanks for the replies guys keep then coming please

Does the a and t stand for the carriers? Obviously att and T-Mobile?
Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
Nexus S phones do not have the carrier branding. Only Samsung and Google in the back.
Basically I was asking if the "a" at the end of the model number is for at&t?
Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
Well to be honest I don't know for sure. But you would assume so or its a huge coincidence (sp).

That I am not sure but, I told him I wanted to me up and he goes, ok my friend works downtown and ill confirm with him, I'm assuming he posted for a friendz but then goes on to say the Guy, who apparently owns his own business.
So sounds kinda sketchy to me, if a Guy can run a business downtown why can't he post his own ad?

Get the IMEI # and call att check it. If he wont give it to you then move on! Gsm phones don't have esn they take sims and you could end up with a stolen phone and not even know it. I know here in Austin they are going for less than what that guy is asking. Just seen a white one for $260 and it was squeky clean.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA App
The AT&T nexus s is only $99 on contract, so $300 for LBNIB isn't sketchy--but the white ns for $260 kind of is. I say meet with the guy if you like the price, inspect for damages and all accessories, then stick your sim in and wait for that 3G or H symbol to pop up. Also make test calls and take pics to ensure speakerphone/mic/camera/etc. is working.
I just bought a LBNIB for $325, so $300 is a good deal imo.

So I just talked to him again, he sent the pictures like he said he would, sweet baby jesus she looks fine! lol
Turns out the reason he mentioned his friend was because they are old business partners and the actual seller wouldn't be able to meet me in person, because he would be at work, so he is going to give the phone to his friend, who he trusts to meet up with me.
I didn't ask the guy where he worked but his friend works downtown here and it's not to far for me, so hopefully all goes well..

So... I would walk into a store with said seller. Tell them we traded phones. They verify that both accounts are active and the esns are clean I assume? If everythings good then thy would just switch phones on the account for you? Would I be able to keep equipment protection?

Call sprint from a separate phone and do an esn swap from your phone to nexus then have him activate or whatever he wants to do with the phone you give him. of course you will both have to be together when you do this. Just make sure you can activate the nexus on your account and have sprint clear your old esn before you give him your phone. Sprint customer service can swap phones very easily over the phone, as long as you're not calling from ths phones you are dealing with.
I personally would feel weird going into a sprint store and take up their time when doing a phone trade like that. That's just me though.

It may sound stupid but my buddy got one and bought a case for it. The looks and feel of the nexus s with a case are PERFECT for me. Feels amazing in the hand with a case. Holding it reminds me of when I had my iPhone 3g. As much as I hated it it felt great in the hand. I could type one handed and type with very high accuracy with my eyes closed.

From what I've been told by a Sprint employee, it doesn't matter where you bought the phone. TEP covers any phone on your line. I have even told them that I bought the phone from someone on Craigslist.

As an owner of an NS since day 1 of BB release I highly recommend you spend your money on ANY non samsung smartphone. Nexus S being no exception. I've been hanging on as long as I can for an ICS device although now looking at the UI I'm strongly thinking about going Verizon and Bionic. I can't wait to relinquish my NS. What a POS.

Why should it? If he owns the bill everything should be okay. Sold a phone once wich still was in warranty period. Just copied the Bill and everything was OK.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
Might work that way in the US, but in the UK a warranty isn't always transferable regardless of having the original POP because the device is technically 2nd hand and most warranties state it's for the original purchase only - definitely that way for the company I work for. If the original owner registered the unit for warranty then you're screwed. If not, you might be able to get away with it
I live in the us. Any way to check online?

If you did not purchase the device from Google Play you'll have to contact LG for warranty service. http://www.lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-LGE960
If its from T-Mobile call customer care and get a warranty exchange if your phone line has the the device warranty.
