[Q] Fastest rom?

Hi,
Which one is the fastest rom (stock or custom)?
Thanks...

There are multiple different stock and custom kernel roms. But in general custom is not as stable but is "faster", at this point which one you use is up to you.
I wonder if I misunderstand what you mean by custom, oh well ^_^

By "custom", I mean CM, TripMiUI an etc... I think... hehehe...

wait for a stable custom kernel with 30fps uncapped and 16m collors. It will own all othe Roms

had data2sd before, doesnt improve anything significantly.
to answer the question of the thread, all people using cm6 v5 seem to be happy with its speed, including me. i havent run a quadrant test in months since i realized those numbers dont really matter. what matters is if YOU think the phone is fast, not what some app tells u is fast.

I recomend CM7 from J! its awsome.. with the custom kernel i got almost 40 on linpack, and some guys broke 40..

I totally agree on what you have said, hence for stability and usability, I would recommend stock + JIT mod.
However if you want more performance numbers and flash 10.2, then I'll recommend WB's CM6.1.3

That its not floyo 020.. , its old floyo .. floyo o15..., you can instal upate. Zip for fix the radio fm.., i had try its.., but its had many bugs too..., i suggestion you to use floyo 020..., work so perfecty..

Why you asking? It's a combination of miniCM and racht's floyo. It's stable and bugless like miniCM and super fast and smooth like floyo.
So, that's the best ROM. I'll flash it as soon as I have a little bit of free time

I not have problem like you..., just remove overclock with no.oc. zip , search in 4SHARED .... instal its with xrecovery..., i have that zip, but i cnt upload here use phone..

Heheh, i agree with dare-devil.....
i have used this 2 rom and elelinux6 is very smooth and fast!

I fully agree that floyo 0.20 is the best x8 rom sofar. I have been testing all roms available since last year (the different 2.2 and the different 2.3 versions), and since I installed three days ago floyo 0.20 I am really happy with it. Everything works, I have had no problem sofar neither with wifi nor with gps nor with bluetooth. The battery life is very good, the performance is great, smooth. As long as no 2.3 version is available without bugs, I will stick to this rom, I can only recommend it!

i tried everything and Elelinux v6 is the most stable for me..but i dont like theme

floyo 0.20 wins i've no problems at all with this rom. i'll try overclock it now...

I only ran into 2 problems actually...
Camera crashing and USB tethering giving me some error... everything else worked perfectly tho batterylife seemed awful... but i have 3g on 24/7 what might of been the reason... i flashed back to 2.1 to compare em two.

Now i can say for sure: Elelinux is the best so far. Even large market downloads work properly. Smooth and fast just like floyo, bugless like minicm. way smoother than minicm.

I not yet try elelinux..., but i not have any problem with floyo020.., this rom so stable, smooth, no bugs, never reboot its self.., everthing working, and faster perfomance..., i fell its like not a custom rom but its like a truth froyo rom from se official update if they give us froyo.., floyo 020 its enough for me, this is what i search to get a froyo.., and for who had instal this rom and had some bug, problem and etc.., i think they are do something wrong tutorial when instal this roms., coz i can say its work 100% without bug, and other problem... thank you

i use rach´s floyo (i like all the icons of sense) ..."most new", but i just have that problem... the camera...
i dont take photos all the day.. but sometimes, i need the camera and its verry hard to go "xrecovery" and return to "lagg" eclair 2.1...

Floyo 0.20 is smooth with default clock.
With OC module (694mhz) system freeze and quadrant score decrease 50% after boot.

We need a kernel.

Ok,so here we have just one working kernel,and its linuxDX.but,it works just with gingerDX.now,we need a kernel wich will work on all 2.3 roms,because it probably will be written on gb sources.i unfortunately dont understand development of such things,but someone who does please help us.
And overclock built in kernel would be good too.

Gpu is something like phones graphics card.we get better 2d and 3d performance

froyopro is based on froyobread 0.23b and it has more features and some bug fixes.and froyopro is now developing but froyobread was stopped.
surely froyopro is better.

this thread makes me LOL. btw its a good info. I'm on froyobread now. maybe its time to move on to FroyoPro

Why not move to GingerDX?
The only difference is u don't get Google maps, but I'm hoping this will change soon.

Really ? I did not see that way no difference at all but we will confirm that on the next updates.

I'm curious about the autobrightness correction froyopro. I'm now with GDX19 and it works good but has some odd behavior with the battery. It is sometimes great, sometimes not. I know that autobrightness is a minor bug, but I think it is sometimes useful ...

I tried GB ROMs, but I always go back with Froyo. I'll stick to it(Froyo ROMs) because what I need is stable and a very good ROM for daily use.

Ive got 5 days of battery life with gdxv19 and I still didnt had one force close.

If you have 5 days with GDX, you will have at least 9 days with FroyoBread.
That is the relation.
Mine is GDX=2.5 days, FB=5 days.
I tested with several CM6 and CM7 based roms with same results.
My conclution is, our Xperia X8 is an old hrdware, not good for Android 2.3.

froyopro for me

FroyoPro for sure, iv been trying almost all most all roms out there but form there is no better rom than FroyoPro; im using it since it came out and im very satisfied with it....

froyo pro + stock kernel.

Its easy so no need to ask. FroyoPro is just the successor of Froyobread with fixes from froyobread minor bugs. So its all great since it was made the greatest by doixanh. Even racth did based his previous roms on FB.

Best ROM for my mum...?

I'm giving my mum my old X8...
I've currently got it on Alfs 7 and gingerdx v25.
Should I just leave it as it is or will she be phoning me about random crashes ? lol...
Hopefully she won't stumble upon performance setting and change stuff haha.

Then use any roms u think is coolest & lock the setting with Apps Lock software.

the best rom is 2.1 on on stock
it is stable and victorious

FroyoPro 2.5...

If you want bug free use original 2.1 eclair. If you want a fast stable rom with less bugs use GingerDX v025 with Alfs 08a.

best would be if you take 2.1 (bug free) like the one above said,
use overclock module to get it run bit faster like 729mhz or whatelse it can handle
remove the unneeded apps (games etc).
Only problem at 2.1 is Cpu Float Point is very low but other scores are ok.
But i don't think your mum cares about Benchmark
and ICS Theme would be cool for 2.1 but i don't know if that is possible for stock rom =/ (has no thememanager) and idk if you can install one
