After a lot of tries I finally managed to install Android.
I've tried it for 4 hours, but with no luck. White HTC screen, no screen, only bootloader accesble, RSA failures when flashing radio.
But, then I read about the freezer trick. I put my phone for 5 mins in the fridge, and after that I managed to flash a new radio rom. Also, I managed to flash MAGLDR again and this time without an empty menu! I could flash CWM, but than the phone came in a boot loop. So I put the phone back in the fridge for 2 mins, and after that I could start CWM and flash Typhoon's CM7.
I could boot into Android, but only after two-three times. When I'm in Android, the phone is functioning normal for 10 seconds, but after that The screen slowly dissolves into black (backlight still functioning). Everything dissapears slowly.. and the only working trick is to remove the battery, cool the phone down in the fridge and start it again.
What is the problem here? Can I throw the phone away or is there a fix?
Sounds like your phone is broken, why did you put it in the freezer though?
Because that was the only fix the flash the radio rom
This trick was also tested in the thread about a radio bricked HD2.. and the solution was to put it in the freezer.
It's the only way to start the phone. If it's out of the freezer, it reboots every three seconds. You can see MAGLDR for 1 second, after that the phone reboots. It won't stop rebooting untill I remove the battery. When the phone is cooled, it will boot MAGLDR (and so android)

I was on Energy 4.20 rom. It was freezing up so I went to task manager and killed the first task (device.exe). The phone froze at the task manager screen so I took out the battery. I put it back in but the phone wouldn't boot.
I plugged it into my laptop and it booted to the "Stuck Together" screen. When I unplugged it, it turned off. So I decided to flash the rom again (after running Tsk 29) WITH THE SAME ROM I HAD SUCCESSFULLY FLASHED BEFORE. I did this by leaving it plugged in so it was looping. I held down the volume down button and got it into boot loader. Then I flashed. It was successful and the phone went through the normal boot sequence and got to one of the HTC screens. I unplugged the phone and again it died.
Now I've flash multiple different roms and its the same results each time. Boots, goes to "Stick Together", shows me the rom/radio version, reboots. And if its not plugged in, nothing happens.
WTF just happen? Do I need to flash the radio? I've never done that before, I've only ever flashed the Energy Roms.
Oh my goodness...
One of the three battery pins was bent up and not making contact with the battery.
Lesson:
Don't drink and flash
lol, wise words indeed.
So here's the story.
I have a Note 3 I acquired that was in pretty rough shape. According to the person that gave it to me, they had tried to flash a rom that was unstable and crashed the device causing a boot loop he couldn't recover from. So he reported it lost and got a new one.
The first thing I tried was installing stock firmware using odin. This at least allowed the phone to fully boot up. But, it would still restart after about 10 mins of usage. The next thing I tried was flashing TWRP on to the phone and doing a complete wipe of the phone. Then I flashed the stock firmware using odin.
This has brought the phone more or less back to a usable state. However, there are new problems.
The phone reboots at random. Usually after being on for an hour or longer. Also, the phone won't power down. When I long press the power button and select power off, the screen shows that it's powering down. The phone stays on the power down screen for about 2 mins then the phone reboots.
I've tried a factory reset and reflashing the stock firmware.
New phone. Opened the box and this is what's been happening.
The phone stays in a bootloop (first screen, followed the the blinking Samsung logo, back to first screen - repeat).
After a while, sometimes, it actually boots into Android. I see the Welcome screen that is seen at first boot on new Samsung devices. At this point, I can tell the phone is really hot right above the SIM slot (no SIM in phone, nor memory card). It stops responding to touch and gets stuck. I have to pull out battery to restart.
Once it restarts, it's back to the bootloop. Then again after some time it might randomly go into Android, get hot, reboot.
Is this a hardware issue? Or is this fixable?
I've already:
Flashed stock MM
Reset
Wiped cache
Hallo,
i hope someone can help me here.
After a low battery my phone doesnt turn on any more. After some research i thought it might by the "death battery problem". So i but the phone on Laptop Charge port for 6 hours and i got it booted in to system.
But only for some seconds and it turned of again. So i decided to buy a new battery. Installed it and tried to boot. Sometimes it bootet in to System, sometime just got Blackscreen. I tried hard reset in it showed some errors. That was some days ago. Now it boots and everytime blackscreen. I tried also longer presses like 10 secs and 60secs. I tried fast press for hard reset with boot logo. I have no detection on Windows. I never rooted the phone and it has still stock rom. Must be the latest kitkat 4.4.2 i guess. I checked every cable. No charge led or logo.
Hey dude check out my video https://youtu.be/rpmbk9RFE_U there is step by step instruction how to reflash your rom... Just watch im here for any questions.
Okay, so heres my issue. Moto Z got wet. It happened during an accident at work and I got a bit side tracked and after a while I noticed the phone was getting really hot so I accidentally restarted it instead of turning it off. Now the phone is stuck in a boot loop. I can get to the boot loader screen. I can restart boot loader via button commands but anything else I try for instance, recovery mode, it goes in to the loop again. My laptop ( windows ) see the phone but not a as a Moto z and I can talk to it with commands on the laptop. I"ve tried flashing with no success. Maybe I'm not doing something right on that part. I'm not trying to unlock the bootloader mainly because I can't considering the model of it. I just want to restore the firmware on the phone. Is it possible? Many thanks in advance.
Yeah I own this cell phone as well. Some trick you could try is to let it drain power wise out. Get a zip-lock page for freezer add a folded paper towel with it and your phone. Leave it in the freezer for 30 hrs. Plug it up to power turn i on. Note if you have changed anything to the firmware to the cell phone this might not work.
Thanks for tip tipstir. I have been trying to restore the firmware for a few days now, researching like hell. I didn't touch the phone for about a week before attempting to restore it. Yesterday I used an all in one tool form a developer here and managed to stop the boot loop. Now all it does is boot to the fast boot screen. It still won't go in to recovery or anything. Flashing fails on RSDlite 3 out of 38 steps. Anything else I can try?
