I did it on stock rom B160 with overclocked kernel and it did not fixed the issue to the called phone,it still makes a disturbing noise.
It made things worse to my side,i was hearing a distortion like when you place a mobile phone next to a speaker.
So i set it back to "On" and things are like before. Fine sound to my speakers, but with a small noise on the called phone.
yeah ı'm try it's work. (thanks teşekkürler ustam : daha bildiklerin varsa paylaşırmısın... bu tarz küçük tweekleri
It's bad side, you must to do it again when you restart phone.
While on the phone, I recorded a video (from the whatsapp attach menu) then sent it, but the caller on the other end couldn't hear me - I checked the mute microphone option in the voice call menu and it was ok and I tried hanging up and calling back but the recipient still couldn't hear me. I had to restart my N4 and only then could they hear me...
Any ideas?
Hi, All.
I have a Samsung S4 and from day 1 I have had this call problem.
When I make or receive calls, the person on the other end cannot hear my voice at all. I have disabled noise reduction both in the settings menu and have toggled it on/off during the call.
Now, I've done a few tests.
1) During calls the other person can hear noises that I simulate such as tapping on the table or tapping on the phone. I tested both the top (for noise cancellation?) microphone and lower microphone and the tapping noise is definitely louder on the lower microphone.
2) Voice works perfectly when using my headset. (Not a network issue)
3) Tested voice recording and it works fine. I spoke on the top of the phone and bottom of the phone (to see if it receives noise on the top microphone) and the voice is definitely louder when voice is coming from the bottom of the phone.
4) Voice command works fine.
5) Calls work find during speaker mode.
Now all I can think of is that this is a problem with my setting or this is a software issue.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks,

So I've factory reset my phone.
Results are I can now BARELY hear my voice SOMETIMES.
Like for example I try speaking in a completely silent environment, they only way the caller hears my garbled up voice is when I cup to phone my mouth.
This even won't work if I turn on the noise reduction feature.
So I'm guessing there is still some noise reduction feature on apart from what we can activate/deactivate during the call and in the settings menu.
Is my voice that ugly that it's now considered to be noise!? I've been told that I have a radio voice

Well cant say whats the main cause of the issue may be the mic has some issue
If possible b4 showing it to service centre flash a firmware using Odin and reset the device and then see if the problem is gone check the voice b4 installing any apps etc
Hi friends,
I've just discovered an issue with my A5 2016, last firmware (issue was present before upgrade).
When you make a call, and immediately after you enable handfree, there is no sound coming from the bottom speaker during the connection phase (bip bip ...), only after your correspondant has answered.
If you enable handfree after the first connection tone has arrived (the first bip ...), it works normally.
Someone having this issue too ?
I've just retested, and the issue is worst than expected : when I activate handfree immediately, in some cases I have no sound out of speakers, neither up one nor bottom one, even after my correspondant has answered ...
I have to disable handfree to have sound back ...
Yeah, I can confirm.
Must be software related, thus.
I don't remember having such an issue out of the box, so I guess this is some king of regression in a recent firmware.
Found a workaround : in "call settings", "call alert", if I check "connection tone" I've got sound back as it should.
PS : Not sure of options names, I have a french phone.
Also if you do it twice (aloud on/off, aloud on) you get sound as well.
i had this issue on sony z2 , i can hear people while they talk to me but they can't hear me good or my sound is not clear.
i fixed the problem by following this simple steps:
1) if you are not on stock rom then forget about it since the noise option are available only on stock.
2) go to settings
3) call setting
4) uncheck microphone and noise suppression.
5) test the call quality using xperia diagnostics or record your call or call someone.
Very useful. I had problems talking with other people. I needed to use spearker on so the other guys can hear me. (for some reason it fixed the voice noice). a peace of cake if you want to keep your conversation private.
This fixed my problem also found why the voice of the callers was to slow.
Many thanks.
