Hey everyone
My team has a working build of the AOSP and we can fix the bluetooth+wifi+Superuser issues .
However , we don't have HSDPA which will badly affect mostly most of us :/
If someone provides how to extract the HSDPA files from CM7 I will gladly appreciate it

Also. Data does not work. It shows the 3G icon but nothing and signal strength stays on full all the time.
And we know its not a APN Problem. We have a massive one from CM 7.
To get RIL to work we added the following:
rild into the /bin folder
libril.so /lib
libsec-ril.so /lib
libsecril-client.so /lib

It was partially paused due to examinations , but since that's done I have all the time in the world now .

It's been a fun ride but it's time to put this ROM to rest. R.I.P. CCM7 Eris!

Hey guys I got a tweak from wolfs Rom working on my x10 that increases the signal greatly. Watch the how to video here. Works in all roms. (if you have Wolfs Rom this isnt necessary. He already has it)

I now have over a 10000 kbps connection just like his in the video. Pretty cool.
First step unzip the file in your sd card then open the file via root explorer
Next go into system/etc/init.d and copy the modules script using root explorer.
Next go to your system on the actual phone (not the sd card) then go.to etc then find the folder called init.d. (if you dont have it flash this via recovery) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1236446
Then place modules in the init folder.
Next go back to your sd card where the 4.0.4 thing is and go into system*etc and copy the entire. Install sh recovery folder then go back to the actual phone and go to.system/etc and just paste it there and select yes if it asks u to overwrite something.
Finally find the install recovery thing
you just copied and click it once and press execute.
Then your done.
How to test if it worked. Before u do the tweak download speed test from the market and test your current wifi speed. After tweak test it again. Note it may require a reboot.

No u dont. This is for other roms. Like stock or other custom roms like zidhus or jerepleas. Basically any Rom besides wolfs

you do realize that overwriting install-recovery.sh will overwrite any other init.d scripts the person might have and also any tweaks put in there by the dev (if you are using it on any other rom than wolfbreaks)?
You shouldn't be advising people to do stuff like this without at least warning them about what they're doing.

It has CM7, it just wouldn't work after I flashed this so I had to restore from a backup. Maybe it's not compatible but it would be great if it was.

Hi U8800+ users! I want to introduce you to the first Alpha version of the CyanogenMod 10.1 firmware.
This ROM is the Deadly Smiley_^`s ROM based on Flinny`s ROM from HTC Desire S. It is very unstable (there are reboots every 40-60 seconds) and don`t use it for everyday. Only for developing.

Installation
You have to be on ANY CM10 ROM for this to "work".
Download files.
Make a backup.
Make all wipes.
Mounts/Storage Format system.
Install ROM.
Reboot.
If something went wrong restore.

yes, i recommend, that everyone post a self non working rom, because this ****ty thread of U8800+ is full of non working ****s. Thank you, gleb_grid for this. You have my thanks.
Maybe in some days i will open a thread with 5.01 android "Puke Peeler", but my upload will take approx 10 years, and my phone will be lost...

Many devs release non working roms thats why it sais {DEV} in the title!!!!

Have you see me delaying uploading roms??i dont think so....and so the story goes...after broxnitas and mauro here you are another troll that have done nothing for the community judging others!!!
The good thing is , that anyone can post a Rom for Developing .
The bad thing , is that we cannot find a developer to develop those roms.
Maybe we must open a new thread , for example: "[REQ] WANTED , a DEV to work on U8800 pro"

Noone can work without thephone gkalen the think we can do is to take files from cm10 and with logcat to see if its working or i can take ivans 4.2 and try with this!

I admire your patience and whatever did for this phone until now Pika .
But we need a dev to work on kernel , this is the major problem and not only the libs ,bins etc....
I believe these kind of (DEV) threads is for other phones which having devs for working , for our phone is almost useless.
Thing about if any user open threads like this ....
