hello everybody,,,,
i'm new to android stuff ,, anyway ive installed a rom on my sgs2 and now i want to shif to another rom somehow everytime i want to get my phone into download it just get into recovery mod and odion keeps failing i tried to get my phone back into refractory data and that even went worse now ,, can you pls help me and tell me how to get the new rom i've over the one i previously installed !

Vol down + Home + Power is Download mode.
Vol up + Home + Power is Recovery mode.

If you've installed a custom ROM, you may already have (or can download) the ClockWorkMod app and should be able to boot into download from that. Alternatively, beg, borrow or steal a USB jig and plug that in when powered down? Apologies if you've looked into all these option already and none are of any help. Good luck.

Hello, I tried to intall aHome lite on my galaxy s i9000 and when I switched to it with Home Selector it force closes all the time and I cannot switch back to originalk TOuchwiz :S
my computer doesn't recognize it through usb :S

If you can't do ANYTHING, then I would first suggest booting into recovery mode (Vol Up, Home + Power) and factory resetting and wiping cache, if that still doesn't work, boot into download mode (Vol Down, Home + Power) and flash a new ROM of your choice.
I have one of those phones that doesn't support 3-way solution for booting into bootloader or download mode :S
the phone boots up and i can unlock it, then the only things I can do is is slide down the notofication tab and see notifications and also switch wifi-bluetooth-GPS-vibration on and off :S
nevermind, I don't know how but I got the unistaller app up and successfully uninstalled the app, so now my phone works again =D

Also leave Debugging mode on, It might help you use ADB in future when you can't access phone
i Flash cyanogen need help going back to stock
going in the download mod doesn't seem to work (vol down + power) if i keep them press, it send me into a boot loop and when i let go it boots back to cyanogen

Search for Odin. He has the answers to find stock again.
Take out battery, sim, and SD card. Plug usb cord into pc and phone. Hold down vol up and down. While holding those two down put battery in.

can i flash a 2.2 ROM from this current ROM using rommanager or will that be incompatible
cause i cant seem to go into download mod anymore since i install cyanogen

nope, the only other thing you can do is download sgs kernel flasher from the market and flash a 2.2 kernel (bali, overstock, etc). This will throw you into a boot loop so you will have to use the 3 button combo (vol up + vol down + power button) to get into recovery mode and flash a 2.2 rom (make sure you have it on your internal sd card before you flash the kernel)

That's because in you original post, You're only using one volume button. You need to use both the volume UP and volume DOWN buttons. And, when you get to El mode, make sire you flash JFD and *only* jfd

Sgs kernel flasher doesn't work on CM7/miui.

WTF, those are not even the button combos to get into download mode.

ya dont really need to do all that, just take out battery hold down vol up and vol down and put the battery in, always works for me.
OK... ive taken the plunge and downgraded from 3.1 back to 3.0
Force closes everywhere ...acore ???
anyway ... ive now Rooted and want to install Prime. Tried going into recovery (power and vol down) and i only got an option to wipe the storage ??
Am i doing something wrong or has my CWM not installed correctly ? Ive been used to flashing my HTC Desire and that was all menu driven from Power and Vol -.
Can anyone advise please ?

It used to be a trial to get into recovery. Once you flash Prime flash the power recovery mod...makes it easy

sooo, i have this really annoying problem with my samsung galaxy s plus. Home button just doesnt work I have to put it on varanty, but i have rooted it and i have installed CM9 by acro with his version of CWM. and there where problem start. Home button is used to "accept" on CWM and i cant restore it to stock rom i can just move around with vol + and -. is there any other option, like connet to pc or whatever else?
Have you tried the power button instead of the home button? This works on my i9000.
You can flash using Odin.

@dark_knight35 flash what? offical rom? but thers something wrong with download mode. first of all i need to use combination which contains home button second when i use option "restart" in cm9 there is possibility to enter download mode, buuuuuuut when i do i see icon of download mode for few seconds and then its turning off :<
EDIT: i found similar problem guy has with sgs and custon ICS he just went back and reset to factory settings. I tried and guess what, now i cant even enter recovery mode.... -.- everything besides home button, recovery and download mode however is working
AFAIK you can use ADB to get into DL mode, but I'm not sure.

EDIT: well now my phone is totally bricked, and i see only black screen of death :< but i found this broodplank.net/old/flashsamsungi9001.php and i try to repair it. strange but i can access download mode by pressing home but+ vol up +power so home works........

xD it works again. You just had bad luck and the flash of your last ROM broke it.
To install a zip do this from terminal emulator:
echo "boot-recovery" > /cache/recovery/command
Then...
echo "--update_package=/path/to/zip" >> /cache/recovery/command
reboot recovery
This will automatically install, just like ROM manager would.

soooo i finally unbricked my phone, by crashing cm9 completly then flashing fearecoverymod and then by restoring from my backup and voila i have my stock rom back home button worked back at the morning but now is dead again so i unrooted my phone and i'm going to put it on varanty. thx for ur input mates. :highfive:
Hello to everybody , i am new in this forum so excuse me for any mistakes.
i own a samsung galaxy s4 gt-19505 with an omega rom installed . the phone was running perfect untill today . i tryed to ota-update a mod with odin app (direclty from the phone) and since the phone reboot it stuck on splash screen and dont boot . I tryed to rewrite the omega rom from my pc but odin dont let me . Also when i try to use the recovery mode ( volume up-home button-power key) there are no options for wipe data factory reset etc
any help would be apreciated

Just curious why you are asking a question about a i9505 device here?
Anyway, are you saying it can NOT get into recovery at all? or you can get into recovery and there is no options.

Are you sure you're not talking about download mode? (vol down + home + power)
Recovery mode is vol up + home + power. Release just the power button when the phone vibrates

yes download is fine
in recovery are not any options
You have 2 options, get into some type of recovery, or ODIN back to stock. and that will require some reading to get that up and running...try here first.
You will need to post in your i9505 forum about this issue where to find original stock image, I looked there, but didn't see anything right off the bat.
