some problems.. - Intercept General

My girlfriend got a samsung intercept on virgin mobile, from her brother, who tried to root it and failed. The phone will boot up, go through the virgin mobile start up screen perfectly fine. However, when it reaches the homescreen it is nothing but black and it vibrates. I can boot into recovery not a problem..just the phone won't do anything else. Anyone know what i can do to resurrect this phone?

my bro bricked his phone...

so i did this for my bros phone:
http://forum.sdx-developers.com/int...nd-fast-guide-(works-for-2-2-froyo-downgrade)
then i flashed this
http://forum.sdx-developers.com/intercept-development/(rom)-ubuntdroid-2-2-1-(di06)/
and that worked for about a week or so then it would just bootloop the samsung with blue fashing behind it eternally... so he brought it to a guy who "tried to fix it"
and now i cant even get the stock sprint image to flash via SWUpdate...i go thru all the prompts and then when i click start download or whatever is says it reboots the phone out of download mode and then goes back to that same bootloop with the samsung blue... and the dowload bar on the computer screen doesnt progress at all... HELP ME? its a VIRGIN MOBILE PHONE FYI
Figured it out,i read somewhere to skip the 2nd battery pull in SWUpgrade and it worked!

Bricked?

After trying to flash a ROM (royalginger 2.1) my phone became stuck on the white splash screen. What do I do?
Assuming that you're rooted and all, it could just be a corrupted ROM download. Happened to me before. Maybe redownload (on PC) and reflash. That fixed it for me.
Go back into recovery (pull battery then volume down plus power button) then select recovery and flash another ROM as above said the download may be corrupt. Highly unlikely that its a brick...

[Q] Tatto gets stuck when booting

My wife was about to reboot her Tattoo yesterday. She closed the phone normally, but when she was about to start it up again it didn't.
When I try to boot it it says Tattoo, after a while a couple of droids appear on the screen and after this the phone says HTC. The HTC text seems to be "active" for a while (light flashes across the letters) but after a while it stops and a few seconds later the screen goes black.
I can go into fastboot on the phone, but can't do very much in there. If I try recovery or anything else I get a warning triangle and a phone on the screen.
I also tried flashing stock ROM, but since USB does not connect to PC I can't.
The phone runs stock ROM and is unrooted (I think). I know I was about to root it a year ago but I don't think I did. Also, when I boot with back + power I receive HTC boot options and not the one I usually get on my rooted Desire.
Does anyone know what to do?
Thanks!
I don't know what to do……
what do you mean with "USB does not connect to PC"?
Can you see a boot logcat with adb?
Do a hard reset...google this...

[Q] Bricked Phone, need help

Hey all,
I recently was playing with some ROMs with my LG G2, seeing which was the best for me, and along the way, I messed up and now I am stuck in a fastboot screen, with nothing but a little bit of white text on a black background that says "Fastboot mode started, udc_start()". I have no clue what to do, and I really need some guidance. I played around for a bit and now I believe the phone is completely wiped. Can anyone help?
bump, can anyone help? Im dying here.
Hold down power for 15 seconds. Then hold power and volume down till white screen appears. Press power 3 times. Should be in recovery now if you had recovery installed.

If this does not work you can revert to stock by downloading orginal firmware in .kdz format and flash it with Flashtool

You need to first download the kdz and lg flash utility with drivers.
Install drivers
The factory reset deleting system, cache, internal sd.
Then shutdown your g2.
Start to downloaded mode connecting your g2
Flash kdz & voila... Done
I too bricked my phone before. My flashing stuck at 49%. Recovered using above method, all is well now
This works 1000%. I bet on it. Just remember to wipe the phone completely before flashing. You will return to stock with unrooted status in download mode. U will have your warranty back too
