Since I cannot yet post in the actual development thread for this ROM I will post here.
The problem I am having is that since I installed this ROM I cannot send or receive MMS texts. I contacted the author directly and it was suggested to make sure mobile data was on. I keep mobile data on 99% of the time and have never been able to get the MMS working, but if I reflash my back up of the stock ROM it works fine again. Any help would be great.
Only thing I can think of is making sure the apn settings are right. I'd check that
Checked that too. There was an error but after fixing that still no MMS

I'm currently at a loss. I migrated away from the stock ROM as it is bloated and there are apps in it that I cannot seem to remove. Not to mention when rogers release the 2.1 update it made the phone slower and not worth trying to play any games on.

I have an HTC hd2 running nand android. Every thing works great. Added the apn for t-mobile and apn for mms. Now it gets goofy on edge. When I make a call the phone will freeze and will ask to force close or the call will go through but it will sound real bad where you can not understand what they are saying. Every thing else works on the edge. Text works the data works. Is there any thing I can do to fix this. I wouldnt mind a new Rom. Can some one give me a link to a good Rom. One that dosent have tethering issues or any other problems. Thanks for the help. I just can't find my problem any where.
I'm currently using mdj's gingerbread 2.6 it works great for me no issues what so ever plus because its being so heavily used you can find a lot of help if you were to have any issues.

First of all I am brand new here so I apologize for any ignorance I may have here! I tried searching the forums for an answer to this so if this was already addressed I apologize. I have an Epic that was recently flashed to boost and having issues with sending and receiving mms messages. It always says that it failed. I went in and changed the url to mm.myboostmobile.com and changed the proxys to 0 or 0's and it still isn't working. This is occurring on both of my epics. I know it can be done because there are corner stores by me that have it functioning perfectly. The reason I changed the proxys to 0's is because that is what I did for my Samsung Transforms and it worked great (until I allowed the system update). Does anyone have any suggestions?
Best bet would be to go to the development forums and find the thread there and PM someone who has it working.

I suggest going to the thread called Epic on boost, MMS working.. and read it.. it tells you exactly how to make it work. Its in development. May I also suggest searching?
I am going through the exact same thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im glad im not the only one I was able to recieve and send jsut fine but now I can only recieve only on wifi or 4g, im on boost running 2.2 ec05 stock rooted, you might be sprint but I know all my proxy information is put in correctly because it was working before,I cannot send out and also my prl does not update and prl I was thinking about odin'ning down to 2.1 to see if that fixes my issue, while on 3g I just get download unsuccessful and when trying to send message just sits there and then after 20 min red x in handcent, I still have stock messaging

Since the last two or three updates within CM builds, I cannot receive MMS from my friend on the sprint network, I am on Tmobile.
I simply receive the message with an attachment that cannot be downloaded. every time I click the download button it tries to retrieve the file and fails
I can receive MMS from myself and it hasn't solved the problem
the apns seem like they have had no direct changes, is something to do with my friends phone more likely or is there a cause for this? tomorrow I will try to have someone on tmobile send me an mms to see if results are different.

recently gathered info leads me to the suggestion that it is 2.3.4 itself causing this issue, as there is a whole new box called "APN Protocol" in our APN edit menu. Haven't ascertained if there is an actual fix besides downgrading to an older build.
I am having this same exact problem. I know you haven't gotten and answer and it's been a while since you posted on this topic but i didn't want to get yelled at to "use the search feature"
no one seems to have the answer. i get mms from my sister (blackberry) and mom on Verizon. (my mom doesn't even have a smart phone) but my girlfriend with her blackberry on sprint wont come through. It shows the "download" button and it fails every time i click on it.
I haven't tried iphone users yet but seems the problem is carrier specific with my phone not playing nice with others.
I am running the latest cm7 nightly build on mytouch 3g slide from t-mobile. And using the stock message app to send and receive.
(please don't tell me to use handcent or anything of the sort, i'd like an answer to THIS problem, not just a work around)

Did you try changing the User Agent in the messaging app settings and seeing if it helped?
yeah, actually tried them all. I believe thats only for sending mms so the receiving phone thinks its coming form another type of device. as far as receiving mms, no luck man
on 2.3.4 ive narrowed it down to I cannot receive MMS messages from iPhones on att or verizon. Anyone else who sends me one I am able to download.

hmmm, interesting cause i can verify i get from Verizon but not Sprint. And we both have t-mobile, as far as i can see

im having the same problem with SIMPLE Mobile. it seems i can send to myself and recieve from ALL GSM carriers but CDMA carriers IE. sprint, verizon, metro pcs, do not work i can click download button till im blue in the face and they wont download...any ideas??
I fixed it, or rather it fixed itself. I backed up angry birds data (the only data that matters, otherwise my girlfriend yells at me that she has to start all over AGAIN lol) using titanium. I did a full wipe, data, davlik and cache. Then installed (at the time) the latest nightly, cm7 nightly 78. Automagically fixed, at least the people I tested (including my girlfriends, which was the initial problem) restored angry birds data and donezo. Tell me if it works for you.
I have my friends mytouch 4g that I rooted and was working fine with cm7 and all of the sudden he couldn't receive sms or send sms I can't find the problem. I flashed the phone to three different rims and the same thing happens sms still does not work. I was thinking if it was the radio update has anything to do with it since it does not have the latest radio update issued in the month of May. If anybody can help me out please do or if anybody has the similar problem let me know. Thanks.

I know for royal ginger you needed to use go sms to receive picture messages but I believe it was fixed with the update I still use go sms so not sure if it works with the stock message app.

Thanks guys. I will try to change the APN see what happens since I don't have my laptop with me to flash the latest radio on the phone. Funny thing is that it doesn't work on original stock Rom either, no sms or mms on stock messenger app. I flash three different roms before flashing stock Rom. The phone had cm7 and had it on the phone for months then it just stoped receiving and sending sms last Friday. I flashed a sense Rom, a cm7 nightly and even Miui latest Rom and everything works but sms.
I will try the APN setting see what happens now.

Changing the APN's did not work. The phone already had epc.T-Mobile.com and still no sms working. I will try changing to a gingerbread radio since the phone still had stock radio.

Here's something; phones can be disabled from being able to receive or send texts (My dad had it forever) it's usually a user enabled thing so you might want to call up tmo and ask about it. other than that I can only see it being the radio.
I have the same problem as the OP, but it only happened after I installed MIUI. (OFFICIAL MIUI.us 1.11.11:: ||demonspeedMOD INSIDE||)
I've been on Stock Sense and CM7 for almost a year now, and after I installed MIUI, I can't receive MMS or SMS anymore. I haven't tried going back to CM7, but I'll post if that fixes anything.
The weird thing is that my MMS and SMS in MIUI was working for the first day or two, and then all of a sudden it stopped. I can still send SMS and MMS, but I cannot receive them.
I have the latest radios and a kernel functional for the ROM, but everything is functional except for the MMS and SMS.
Any ideas? Any help would be much appreciated.
11/21 UPDATE: Well I just tried using a 3rd party SMS/MMS app (Go SMS) and it works like a charm. Both SMS and MMS work perfectly.
Glad everything is working now. I just kinda assumed at first that nobody wanted to talk to me anymore.
Ok so I have had my evo since last July, Rooted and have flashed a hundred different roms on the thing over the last year... I've NEVER had any issues with voice/txt (cept mms with certain roms) I've been running the same 2.2 rom now for months (jiminy V). Now a strange issue happens with ANY sense based 2.3 roms (the leak and official, Doesnt happen with 2.3 aosp roms) Every call i make or receive claims to be roaming... 3g gps and txt all seem to work fine still
Any1 know how or why this would happen???
Most likely your PRL has changed, that and your APNs. I have the Evo on Cricket as well and haven't had this problem as of yet. I would check your flash to make sure that it is still working, the flash to Cricket I mean.
Thats the thing everything in epst looks the same. and ive also done a *228 which successfully update my prl and even after reloading the proper apn it still happens. also if i flash back using nandroid and or any other 2.2 rom it works perfectly fine again
I have some issues too. I could not get my youtube app or any video streaming to work. I already fixed the proxy settings and everything but still no luck. And also when i switch back to a 2.2 rom everything works perfectly. Any ideas?
