Ind/loaded the app from my posted link.deleted my market app and installed this. Something might be wrong on your end.
Backup backup backup. Then make backups of the backup.to be safe.

go into your manage apps and uninstalling market updates. That worked for me when I tried that new market.

CM Gapps usually leaves it out because you can find it on the market. The maps itself is roughly 6.8MB.
I honestly don't know why you can't just get it from the market.

Thanks. I've been wondering how to upload files to xda directly from my phone. I hadn't thought of going through dropbox.

Yes.
My tablet, which is perfectly capable of running Google Maps and is doing so just fine with a previous version, absolutely refuses to find that Maps even exists in the Market.
At the link above, the Market won't install to my tablet because it thinks it's incompatible.
Our Nexus S's will find and install nearly anything in the Market with the exception of some tablet-only or other highly hardware-specific apps. That's far from the case with many other devices. Some devices have to be hacked just to access the Market at all.

Do I need to update to 3.2 to get the latest Android Market?

Do I need to update to 3.2 to get the latest Android Market? I don't really want to update because of root access.

Are you sure? I'm using Amon Ra 2.3 recovery and it works flawlessly. Weird, on my old optimus it wouldnt work for me but I heard some else with the same phone had no trouble using it. Maybe it differs from phone to phone?
More than likely its recovery related. I'm using amonra 4.0 or whatever it is. The zip seemed fine without any errors in recovery yet no apps reinstalled. Also I didn't see anything about it on the market, but does this reinstall with data or just the app itself?
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
Yes it does backup data stored on the phone, not data downloaded to sD card, which doesn't need to be backed up because it won't be wiped.
Seems to only work with CWM.

Maybe its just a variation between phones? Like I said, on my old optimus, I couldn't get it working but another person with the same phone could.

Restoring old tablet data to new one

Hey, not total noob but never something I had to think about or try.. I will be having to get a replacement for my n7 sadly since there's a weird screen discoloration (even while screen is off? :S) so what I'm wondering is, when a new one comes, can I do a nandroid of my current one, root my new one, and restore that nandroid onto the new one ? Or are there problems that arise? Thanks!

Photoshop Touch apk

When I flashed into CM10 on my GNote, I forgot to backup Photoshop. Would someone be so kind as to make a Titanium Backup and shoot me the APK?
I don't think this is allowed... seeing as how PS touch is a paid app. You can always reflash stock and backup the APK from there.

I was trying to avoid that to save time and energy. I bought the device and therefore the app. I can see not wanting to post it live here for piracy reasons, but a pm with a drive link would be nice.
