or you can use the siyah kernel which supposedly fixed the aos problem.
based on my current usage, it shows:
1d 9h 14m on battery
2h 11m display time on
android os 3%.
theres still 39% battery left.
for me thats good enough.

- Put phone in freezer until draining process is frozen?
- Sing "Twinkle, Twinkle, little star" before going to bed with phone, so it will slide into deep sleep very smoothly without waking up?

Turn phone off and leave off to save battery?

I would hop on your nimbus 2000 and fly on over to T-Mobile
Serious note l would check to see how many apps are running and also go to settings -> about phone -> Battery use and see what all is using your battery up and if you see something you dont know then post it.

Aside from getting a new phone? Nothing. I am on my third Vibrant and I can vouch this is normal (at least in my experience). The GPS drains the battery 1% per 1 min on average for me too.

I gotta respectfully disagree - this is most definitely NOT normal. I've used my phone more today than any other day I can think of since I've had it. I pulled it off the charger exactly 10 hrs. ago and I've got 50% left.
I'm getting VERY good battery life with my Vibrant.

it could be one of these?
1 - your phone is jacked up
2 - your battery is jacked up
3 - you are running too many programs in the background and you don't know it. Check out your application running tab to see what exactly is running.
i get over a day with the battery btw normal usage.

[Q] battery in mike's ICS

hi guys, the battery in mike's ICS is very expensive.. I've in 1 hour 70%! this problem in derivated by a bad calibration or by some problem with this beta?
calibration ^^ mine holds around one day
I tried with "Battery calibrator" but nothing.. :S I tried also with a "wipe battery stats" by recovery and also nothing
It's not about calibration - deep sleep mode is not functional - after sleep phone CPU uses battery all the time

Is my battery damaged?

is my battery damaged ? I have tried many ROMs and on all of them I'm having a very bad battery life. I have everything turned off and my brightness is 0% and the battery drains super fast. what should I do ?
1. Do factory reset
2. Exchange the phone if option 1 doesn't work...good working G2s don't perform like your phone is @ the moment

What's the problem with that exactly? (Most issues with battery life are user problems - usually a poor wipe / flash regime and using poor quality apps and heavy syncing. I assume you have used the usual wakelock detection procedures).

I would try to reset everything to factory, see how it goes then. If not, flash custom rom/kernel, tweak cpu and search for wakelocks. If the problem is still present, get a new battery.

1% / 3mins sounds like 5 hours on battery to me. Reasonable, but not great.
Depends if you have your screen on during that time or not, and what brightness, and what tasks it is doing. If that is screen off at all, then it's horrible. If full brightness screen-on for the whole time, then it's ok.

If your phone is the international version, you have the option to buy a new battery And swap it out. I would try this since batteries are pretty cheap at the moment.
If it still drains after all these things only then do I recommend you return the phone for a new one

Culd be som app running that is draining it.
Install a battery monitor. Like gsam then u can see what's drainimg the battery.
Try delete google+. Giving a lot wakelocks. If u are rooted install wakelock detector and let it run 2 or 3 hours and see if its under 20%

I would suggest to stop draining processes first. If stopping it doesn't cause any problems i would rather freeze than delet it.
But if it's caused by a ****ty app you downloaded, delete it right away.

[Xperia X F5121] Incredible Battery Life on Nougat (Concept 38.3.A.0.107)

Just wanted to point out, without evidence yet, that battery life on Nougat (Concept update 38.3.A.0.107) is amazing. I'm talking about days here.
¿Anyone else experiencing this?
As for the evidence, I will charge my phone to 100% today and upload a battery life screencap as soon as I can.
What? I need that firmware! My battery goes from 80 to 70 in 5 minutes On screen time!!!
Hi,
Just a quick update with a screenshot. Just 2h short of a day with 14% to go, the mostly horizontal part of the graph happened when I was asleep.
SOT for that is 3h13m

Yeah, I understand what you mean, the problem here is that we do not know if it's connected to software (or somehow to the bootloader / root probably not though) or if it's the actual phone being faulty. I doubt it's faulty, I have absolutely no problems apart from the drainage
