Missing Fastboot Settings in CM7.0.3 - myTouch 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I finally rooted and flashed CyanogenMod 7.0.3 to my phone. I have noticed in the settings menu that I can no longer find the setting to toggle Fastboot on/off.
Am I missing something here lol?! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
MyTouch 4G. CyanogenMod 7.0.3

The fast boot feature is an HTC Sense feature which the customized Sense variant our phones came with inherited.
AOSP based ROMs like CM don't have that feature.

youll need clockwork recovery 3, not the 2.5.1.2 used for iced glacier and other froyo roms. The easiest way to do that is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10670110#post10670110
once you have that installed, you will need to flash the CM7 nightly ROM and Google apps zip, found here:http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/14459-nightlies-cm7-discussion-of-nightlies/
reboot, and enjoy CM7

CM7 RC2 Wimax functionality in Kernel?

Hi I had just flashed the new CM7 RC2 and I flashed the snap dragon kernel and now the 4g is stuck on turning on. I was wondering if CM7 RC2's original kernel is the reason why it works.
If so is there a way to get the original kernel or do I have to reflash everything? Please let me know thanks!
Just reflash the rc2. The kernal in there is why 4g works. Or u can use the savagenzen kernal and just flash that on top of rc2
yeah im using the Savage Zen 0.1.2 can its working great for me....battery life is also amazing with this kernel....give it a go....u can always go back
I only see rc1 and nightly 14 where is rc2???
I can not find where to get rc2. It is not on my ROM Manager

What's the difference between this and RC1? besides wimax I mean. And is it pretty stable right now? Cause RC1 works like a dream for me.

i want STABLE and fast and smooth roms. mostly looking for sense roms. its ok with bluetooth or camera bugs. but every thing has to work. like all the widgets are there including people widget.

Sapphire - MT3G Fender & 1.2 ROMS
The only Sense ROM I'm aware of is based on the MT3G Slide and can be found here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=673503
Ginger Yoshi has gotten decent reviews by Fender owners. It can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=673503
There are also stock Froyo mods with custom kernels and streamlined app loads in the works from what I've heard.
You can flash ROM's from the G1 forum. There are a few with Sense there.

im aware of that. but, wat if it specifies the radio? or i just flash and it will work.
any kernals i have to flash if i want one?
If it specifies a radio, no. You don't have to install any kernels. Make sure you do a nandroid backup before flashing so that if the ROM doesn't work you can restore your backup.
thanks for quick replies. ummm any sense roms tht work for mytouch 1.2/fender without a2sd? and is fast and stable?

[Q] [REQUEST] Android 2.3.5 on G2

Hey all,
I've been dying to have a fantastic essentially stock (real) gingerbread ROM for the G2. While the OTA update is pretty good, it still is missing a few key aspects of what gingerbread should be - blinking LED notifications, the CRT screen turning off effect, a bunch of other stuff. I just recently threw android onto my mother's HD2 Leo, and put this ROM on there. Stock, obviously rooted, with a bunch of awesome features that you can see in the link there. It is FANTASTIC. Probably the best ROM I have ever dealt with.
I guess what I am looking for is a Gingerbread AOSP stock that is currently on the Nexus One - (2.3.5 Gingerbread)
I would love to see a rom identical to this on the G2! Does anyone know of a rom available for the G2 like this?
Or, even better, would someone like to help me figure out how to port this ROM to the g2?
Cheers all
- D
You could try CyanogenMod 7.1-RC1, it has all the features you said you wanted. It does use ADW.launcher, but you can install the stock launcher by following the instructions here.
CM is actually pretty good - my issue is that the look, feel, and operation is nothing like stock gingerbread! I really want something like the stock AOSP Gingerbread Nexus One rom.
EDIT - Hey! One hundred posts!
Cm 7.1 isn't 2.3.5. U need to install the latest nightly. Have a new rom to install every morning is not only exciting, u get new features as they are implemented. What are u talking about CM not being like stock ginger? It IS aosp gingerbread. The true android with zero carrier additions or overlays. You must be confused as to what stock ginger is. Also, get rid of adw the second you install ginger. Adw is a piece of garbage that brings CM WAY down. First thing I always do is search gingerbread launcher in the market and install the real stock ginger launcher. Then your experience will be perfect

Ah - I think that adw launcher is what turned me off of it! I'll give it a go there.
Use the stock launcher, and CM7 is exactly what you want.

This. I've been running a stock GB launcher on CM7 for months now. Check the thread in my sig for it.
I used cyanogen's latest nightly (2.3.5) then xboarder56's converter. Works like a charm!
