[Q] G-Sensor not calibrating correctly.. - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

I had recently did a SD fresh install with [12.SEP][SD/MAGDLR] MccMBoxmaX GS V10 Android 2.3.3[Sense 2.1+3.0]3D Glitches Fix
Overall it has been great, but I encountered 2 issues.
1. When I tried to use the G-Sensor Calibration, the "up n down" never goes to the middle. So I'm having trouble using portrait/landscape mode most of the time.
I read some threads, didnt really find any solutions.. is reinstalling the best way to get the original G-Sensor setting back?
2. Recording in HD or Widescreen is very choppy.
Is there a fix for this??
Thanks in advance!

Any suggestions?

anyone?

stock firmware 2.2 g-sensor game problems

anyone else experience this issue with motion sensor games that require tilting? on stock 2.2 firmware these motion sensor games like riptide dont work properly, they keep going in one direction. in viewcomb 3.2 the motion sensor games seem to work fine.
iv tried using the game mode option on g-sensor in firmware 2.2 but it still doesnt register mostion movements in the games. is there any fix for this?
thanks.
It's a common problem.

Strange homescreen behavior [ICS]

Hi all,
I have noticed some strange graphics on the top part of my homescreen when on portrait mode. It seems random and a restart is required to fix it.
I have uploaded some screenshots to my dropbox: http://db.tt/X9HSzTw9
There is no flickering it's just static and I never encountered this issue on HC. Anybody else noticed this behavior? I wonder if it is ICS or hardware related.
Thanks for all your help
Try another launcher and see if it goes away. I remember having something similar (although not as severe) on the stock launcher.
My favorite is Nova Launcher, which is basically the same as stock but with more options, and a hell a lot faster
Also, enabling "Force 2D GPU Rendering" in the settings/development can, sometimes, cause those kinds of artifacts. So if you got that turned on, try turning it off.
Im finding it hard to believe its a HW issue and lean more towards "ICS Issue"... ICS isnt exactly what I'd call bugfree
I experienced the same thing with Youtube App (Even the reboot won't help)
ICS is a big failure so far
I had the same issue at first, factory reset got it stable. Try not to restore apps, I see this advice all over the forums in this case, just reinstall them from the market again.
Good luck

[Q] Help! AutoRotate stopped working!

Okay so im running rooted stock rom and from out of nowhere yesterday my autorotate stopped working. I also notice that my phone is no longer counting any steps via S health. I ran tests and all my sensors are functioning properly and even the icons in the camera app rotate when i change my phones orientation however nothing else will rotate automatically.
Anyone have any experience with this or something similar? I'm totally lost here and desperately avoiding a factory wipe, Any help would be much appreciated

Did you ever fix this? Same thing just happened to me. If I need landscape orientation, I have to switch to youtube, start a video, maximize it (which forces landscape), then switch apps back where I was.
Thanks,
Michael

TouchScreen Calibration

Hi guys something has happened to the touch at the top of the screen its about an inch off too high. I tried flashing and wiping even went back down to lolipop but nothing is working.
How exactly does the touch key study work ? Like if its off how does one recalibrate it ? Its almost like the top menu bar has been disabled somehow...
Its a MTCD-Sofia MCU-HXD2.15 currently on 5.1.1
Cheers
Same problem here, did you find a solution?
I'm having a similar problem on lots of different vehicle where the touchscreen calibration is off while in maps and Waze. It worked as recently as 3 weeks ago and I've tried rolling back Android auto versions and no difference.
I've read on other forums that reducing the screen resolution on your phone will fix the issue, hopefully an update will provide a full fix at some point.
