Is there any way to fix this? It won't recognise the SD card upon reboot. Only when I re-insert it does it show up.

Is the card slipping out? I just had to replace mine under warranty because the card wouldn't "click in" anymore....

Nope, it clicks in there properly. It just isn't recognised by the Nook Color until I eject and reinsert it.

Did you try "unmount" then "mount"?

That doesn't work, as it's not recognised at all until I reinsert it. It's odd, it doesn't do this when I'm on stock; but rooted - it does this.
Oh, I thought you're running CM7

Well, I just put CM7 on my NC and I still have to reinsert the SD card for it to be recognised. Is this a common problem and is there a way to fix it?

how would i format the card if i can't get the phone to start with the kingston sd card?
if you can get a sd card adapter you could format it from your computer
you could try and format it from another mobile phone if you have one
also... try put the sd card in the phone while the phone is ON
I was removing some of the stock apps (Nascar and the like) and now my sd card is write protected. How do I reverse that? Thanks.

Did you make sure that it's not mounted on your computer?
I unmounted, pulled the card and popped it into my comp to transfer some backgrounds to the card and it said it was write protected.

check your adapter that you put the card into that the lock isnt engaged
It was'nt on, but that got me thinking that it might be damaged so I another one and it worked. Thanks for the idea.
I have got a message saying my SD card is damaged and needs to be replaced three times since i have had this phone. Does any one know what could happen to cause this or how i can prevent it?
Could be from a bad card to the card not mounting correctly.
Here's a few things to try:
1. Turn the phone off and reseat the SD card.
2. Back up everything on the SD card and repartition it (that will format it as well).
3. If those don't work, you may look at replacing the SD card.

Well, you need to narrow down the issue: If all of the messages were while using the same card then get a new one and see if you get the error again.
If you never get the error again then it was the card, if you do then it is the phone.
Under "Applications", when I press SD it still just shows my USB block - not SD card. Storage options shows SD, but I want to be able to see what apps are actually on SD. Anyway to do this?

Did you fixed it? I'm experiencing the same problem.. when you get an answer, please post us.
It is very possible it was due to an unsupported file system
