Hi
Just thought I would add some info on how to change your Product code for your SGS2 as lot of people are flashing new different firmwares and some want to go to their original product codes.
This is only for non-rooted devices flashed through ODIN, I don't know if it works with rooted devices:
1 ] Check your Product Code
*2767*4387264636#
2 ] Get your IMEI and write it down somewhere
*#06#
3 ] To change your product code ( This will wipe your phone)
*#272*IMEI# (where IMEI is your own IMEI number)
You will have a list of available codes to choose from install the one which applies to you and you phone will wipe and reboot.
Please note : The firmware you download should be a multi CSC and be having your country code eg: the new 2.3.5 nordic firmware doesn't have the XEU code which is for UK but the 2.3.4 KG5 has
So this won't work for all the firmwares as they will be region dependent so you must flash the corresponding firmware closest to your region.

Can you add OTU for Oman.

What is the CSC code for the handtec Note? Can it be changed?
Thanks
Lifted this from Australian site (Whirlpool)
Has anyone else flashed to 2.3.6 yet? If you got the Handtec edition you have to change your CSC to DBT (from KOR) for Kies to recognise your device as being eligible for updates.
You can do this (WARNING: Will factory reset your phone) by going into the dialer and typing:
*#272*IMEI#
(where IMEI is your phones IMEI as found in Settings > Status)
This should give you a menu of CSC to choose from. DBT is German which is eligible for the Kies update right now, others will probably follow soon if they havent already. If you leave it at KOR it will never update as KOR is the no-mans land of CSC.
Hello everyone,
I've tried searching but I did not find a specific answer to my question...
what is the impact of flashing a different country code to my device if PDA, CSC and MODEM versions are identical (not just the last 3 characters... but all the string)?
I'm asking the question because I wanted to factory reset my device and upgrade to the latest version. I have a TTT (Trinidad and Tobago) country code... but I saw that there was a more recent version on sammobile with EON code (also Trinidad and Tobago).
I flashed the device... reset factory default... and it's working perfectly fine.
When I connect my device to my computer, I can still see the TTT country code in Kies... and Kies does not give me any error.
And status is "official".
Will I encounter any problem in the future because I manually updated with a different country code firmware file?
Hi, i can't change my CSC with *#272*imei#
I bought my phone in germany, and flash belgium Firmware (which is the country i live) but the CSC changed from DBT (Germany) to SEB (Baltic) how
bump
Usually to change the CSC you have to flash the new firmware (which you have done) but then also flash to change the CSC. - On previous Samsung's (Note 3) - you have to flash the firmware, wipe the device then insert your SIM and it changes to your region.
This *may* apply to the S5 also, but only way to actually tell would be to do it, extract the CSC info and flash it. If you're unsure how to do this, then I'd hold off for a little while until others have tested different methods or release a guide on how to change it.
I am just wondering if I9505OXXAMDC means that any CSC ending in AMDC is compatible, or I need to look for that specific one?
What is relevant and what not in the CSC naming?
CSC = Country Sales Code
There is no problem with flashing or if you want you can change CSC every day via Phone info
