According to TechCrunch. But I can't post links on XDA apparently, so you will have to go to techcrunch DOT com/2010/05/22/android-froyo-nexus-one/
Sorry
there is a link posted in general section

u from the us?
To be or not to be?
hmmm funny how all the links are to ONE guy... would be lovely if it was the case but the odds of ONLY one set of images and ONE guy having the OTA is slightly concerning.
If he did... "go get a lottery ticket"
If he did not then i'll sit back and refresh for 3 weeks
*#*#checkin#*#*
come on Froyo it's 27 degrees celcius in the UK a great time to drop by and chill us all out!
please can anyone confirmed it

U where you from then? Please tell us if there's any update
In fact reading into it more...
A reporter for TechCrunch website states he has had the OTA?
I'l put 2 and 2 together here and i know this smells very odd now indeed. Do not get your hopes up, and really do smell a clever ploy to attract some users.
Who says it was OTA anyway? surely guys like TechCrunch would be given a sniff anyway weeks ago?
Just my 2 cents.
When running for example Cyanogen, I have two questions someone perhapse can answer:
1) Where do I find the option to check for an OTA-update, cant find it in About in Settings?
2) Will I haveto install a stock rom to be able to do the OTA?
Tnx,

Also from Israel (with CM5.0.6) but still no update I won't install it anyway, waiting for rooted version (so I can flash some Hebrew fonts)

Yes. It's an Update, not a replacement for your custom ROM. The only way you'll even get the option for an OTA update is if you flash your ROM back to stock and wait.
Or, wait for a few more hours for someone to release a rooted ROM, which is assuming the Techcrunch link is for real, which I doubt it is.

OK you guys need to calm down. Revolver supports ota updates OF REVOLVER not stock. YOU WILL ONLY GET THE STOCK 3.2 UPDATE IF YOU ARE ON STOCK UNROOTED FIRMWARE

Android 3.2 Honeycomb updates for Acer Iconia Tab A500 tablet are set to start rolling in a little over two weeks time. The new update was confirmed, without much press, on Wednesday by Acer Malaysia who stated the first Android 3.2 updates would roll to A500 customer on August 25th.

But when do we get the update that lets us run Windows Mobile?
(Dodges the thrown objects lol)
For real tho, great to know we have 3.2 coming in the near future. Not looking forward to having to undo a million changes to get the stupid update (which I hope is *not* incremental) to actually work lol
Just curious. How much it would take to intice a dev to put in the long hours it would take to root 3.2 with a 1 click root product. I'm thinking, those of us who are interested could pitch into a pot and make a collection to go to the first dev who brings us an easy root?
Maybe I'm crazy, but it looks like we are going to have to come up with an incentive to get a rooted 3.2 without having to jump through a downgrade/upgrade hoop.

Best to wait for ICS as it'll be here shortly, then pass the plate around
I too agree ice is to close around the corner to ask anyone to put more time in development for honeycomb. My tablet will stay as is. On a stock rooted 3.2.
The developers all have lives .and will get back motivated when they get something new to play with.

Is ICS Even Guaranteed for the A500? I mean I Know you can load Custom ROM with it and such.. But It runs great with the Stock Rom? Im just curious if ACER is even Planning on Sending out ICS for the A500.

One NEVER knows with Acer, but if they don't, it'll be the last Acer I ever buy.
ICS will be out inside of a month, and the A500 hasn't been out a year yet. If Acer stops support inside of a year, I'll bet others will feel much the same way.
Acer has apparently told Telstra Australia that they are updating A501's to (Android 4) ICS in December. I heard this from a Telstra representative at a store. So its good news I guess.

I think I'll dump Acer anyway... I had a terrible experience with support, switched three A501 and everyone of them has bad pixels. I'll wait for Transformer 2 or Slider and then will see...
Don't they have to? I believe a manufacturer has to support a device with upgrades for 18 months as part of their agreement with Google to have Google apps on their devices

There is no market logic in Acer not updating to ICS. They don't have anything new to sell, so updating the A500 will only increase their sales.

I would still wait for the (near)stock rooted ICS. The chefs do a great job considering the resourses they have, but for me stability is a must and that's what is lacking in the cooked ROMs.

+1 That's why you start with a pre-rooted stock ROM, and cook your own.
Then it's completely setup the way you intend for your own personal use!

As others said, it would be better to wait for ICS. It's not just rooting a stock 3.2 that's the issue, with the new bootloader, you still wouldn't be able to install CWM or custom kernels. So to completely open it up, you'd have to downgrade the bootloader. And there's already a process for doing that.
If your updated to 3.2, just downgrade it to 3.01, root it, add cwm, then install a pre-rooted (near) stock 3.2 ROM.
i havent had a problem yet with a cooked rom or my recooked rom.
Then again i am all about device experimentation so....

I downgraded, rooted, installed CWM *AND* installed Lightspeed in about ten minutes. All of which was done without the aid of a PC - downloaded the downgrade, unzipped with Estrongs, followed the instructions.
If that's too hard maybe you shouldn't be rooting in the first place, because I'll put money on you coming back having broken something.

Strange to hear that it is slow as colleagues from 7500 forum are really excited with the speed of ICS update (and I believe that firmwares should be almost the same). Have you done full wipe?
Anyone else get this?
I'm one OTA behind, the incremental one that came in about a month ago never installed on my tab.
Thinking of going back to bone stock in order to OTA up to ICS and get the necessary files over to Pershoot but not going to do that if this OTA isn't really rolling out yet.

Yeah, about that--first boot left it somewhat sluggish when scrolling through homescreens & widgets, launching TouchWiz apps and responding to touches. But subsequent reboots seemed to fix that. Browsing in Google Chrome is a VAST improvement over the stock browser in 3.2.

I had checked with Pershoot on saturday and he hadn't heard from jake . . based on jake's past postings I chalk this up to someone being close to Samsung or Verizon development who's unable to share specifics but wanting to leak out a hint of info. Basically confirmation we'll get an update but still no ETA. I for one appreciate the heads up and will continue to wait it out as patiently as I can. Would love to be wrong though, and to find out that he is in fact able to send files off to pershoot. That would be fantastic.
