setcpu

Just checking here didn't find anything when i searched. I remember on my last android phone i needed a special kernel to run setcpu right. I'm just checking here, i can run setcpu fine as long as i am rooted right? i don't need to do anything else.
Yes, you need to be rooted. No special kernel necessary for me. Here are some settings that work well for me:
never mind... I'm not allowed to post links/pics... no help from me.
If youre talking about underclocking, you can use settings like this:

You can also overclock following this method: http://androidforums.com/all-things...lock-your-droid-x.html?highlight=overclocking
Got setcpu and I can't get higher than the stock 1ghz max speed. Anyone know what's going on? I want to scale from 300mhz to max stable speed.

SetCPU doesn't overclock for you. You can only go to 1000mhz with SetCPU on the X unless you overclock. There are a couple of overclocking apps for the droidX in the market now. You can use those to achieve a higher clock speed and then you can use SetCPU to make your adjustments.

LS8 Performance / Bench marking Video

I know benchmarking scores shouldnt be the only thing on which we can judge things but still many people wanted to see so here is a video that i came across and wanted to share with all of you
Also S2 performed very well with this LS8 firmware . Scoring 4229 just below HTC OneX

I get 3100 points using vanilla rootbox without overclocking , standard cpu states and undervolt

To do this you need A1 KERNAL.
Credits : setcpu,A1 kernal.
What ROM are you using?
Sorry for the late reply
Sorry for the late reply I of the xda for some days.
I am using stock is rom.
Dude... I actually don't care about quadrant scores but... I must say..
YOU LITERALLY JUST GOT OWNED BY A HAPPY CM10.1 USER.
It's not necessary to use A1 kernel for high quadrant scores, i use 100% pershoot's work and i'm fine

That benchmark is really bad bro, my xperia J even gets better, and it's low end device! (benchmark score: over 4000)

[Q] SAD!! Why is my Antutu Benchmark is too low?

My first attempt on Antutu scored 20k, 2nd 21k and last 20k. Btw, I'm using cyanogenmod lastest nightly with this custom kernel and also fauxclock.
Here are my clock settings:

My last attempt scored like this:
and compared to other LG G2:
I'm little worried about the result that my device had. I think it is really low.
Can someone share their OC/GPU/UV settings that will be good at gaming but not that hot?
Thanks in advance and hope you can help me guys.
Does your device still run swiftly?
Benchmarks are pretty to look at, when you have nice scores. But in reality they are meaningless.
Just my opinion of coarse.

Hi,
Read the lastest pages of the kernel thread I (we) speak about thermal throttling... Maybe your CPU can't handle the overclock to 2,5 Ghz too...
Plus AOSP/CM rom scores always lower than stock, I mean compared with LG rom.
You are complaining in your other thread about CPU temp and you are overclock to 2,5 Ghz for benchs...
Why does it even matter? Benchmarks are lame.

best antutu score :D for lg-l5

4224
i use mod of stock + 1 ghz kernel
No offence, but you should not post this on development tread, please ask moderator to move it.
Lperia - 4018 - 3900 ( 1 GHz )
Mod Of Stock - 4000 ( 1 GHz )
AOKP - 3477 :/ ( 800 MHz )
I have LG L3 but I'm gonna beat you....
