Hello,
I am using CHT 1.8.5 in my ROM (cooked in) with 29022 or 23153 sys. The CHT lock is disabled by default in cooking. After flash I install CHT editor and enable the CHT lock and also select lock on stand by option. but when I try to lock device it gives me default windows lock (HD mini style; which is default in my ROM even without CHT).
I am not able to find why the CHT lock is not working even after enabled that Any pointer will be appreciated
Cheers!!!
I think I got same problem a few weeks ago related to the use of lockscreen.dll or customlockscreen.dll, but dont remember well. Play in [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Lockscreen\OEM\customUIDLL] changing both .dll maybe works better.

Hey Folks,
I got since several weeks a custom rom on my HD2, the only problem it the (nice looking but bad locking) HD-Mini lockscreen, which had already been cooked into the rom.
This means shortly said - the phone really often does weird things in order to unlocking the screen, which is really to easy to unlock - especially in my pocket while walking.
So, what I want is the old one back, the stock HD2 lock screen - all this sh*t never happened before (for e.g. uploading 100%dark pics of my pocket to facebook... )
How can I do this without flashing a different rom or hardresetting?
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!!
Maeffjus
Possibly find the original somewhere in the app section, it should over write the Mini one or wait for someone to CAB the original and post it up here
No... a look at the cabs-post was not helpful..nothing there..

Why? Its funny, and in some cases appropriate
Ohhhh my fault - sorry, but I'm not able to change...
No idea - by editing the first post it is not possible..
Also I installed the file I found at the link and it is still not working also after softreset the HD-Mini screen appears..
Why not try Cookie's home tab coupled with the CHTEditor? There are lockscreen layout options... one of the options is what lockscreen style you want.
Just as the other poster stated above, without knowing what ROM you have flashed, one can guess that Co0kie's HTE was cooked into it thus leaving the locksreen activated by default.
From the Homescreen: Goto Menu-->CHTE-->Lockscreen Setting-->ensure "Enable Default Lockscreen" is on and that "Enable CHT Lockscreen is off
Scroll down and there should be 3 options with radio buttons next to each
- Manila
- Windows
- HD Mini
Choose one.
Or the problem could be with the ROM itself; it's cocked.
the mini lock screen uses a different dll so just restoring the original lockscreen file won't work, the registry needs editing to make chome use the original dll.
sorry but currently not in a position to help In more detail.
Hmm tried it with CHTEditor but did only work with cookies lockscreen... the original ones are not working - no matter what is configured, it shows the HDmini-screen.
You may need to get a ROM without it then, or get the Chef to cook one for you
Please help me, i prevously had cht editor v1.8 which i loved and worked fine, then i installed the breitling clock tab and lost all my cht settings which took me ages to setup, i then uninstalled the breitling think all would go back to normal but no, so i then thoight i would reintall cht editor and now i,m not getting past the sense boot screen, please help?
Thanks
Sounds like an incompatible radio with the ROM you have installed.
Which ROM do you have?
I had the same problem messed up home screen on uninstall of cab(not breitling another) couldn't reload anything. in the end it was quicker to do a hard reset. Sorrybut that might be your best option
right first thing first is turn sense off, so go to Start>settings>home/Today> Items and turn htc sense off, then un-install cht and cht editor, reboot you're your phone and turn sense on if it works great you can just reinstall cht again, if not come back and let us no
@spireite_uk he said not getting past the Sense boot screen which is the part after the phone has booted that loads sense!!!!
Artemis_v90_WWE_210_23557
Thats the thing i havent changed the rom only installed then unistalled the breitling .cab it the Artemis_v90_WWE_210_23557 worked fine with cht editor 1.8?
Whats my options?
try my suggestion above
similar thing happened to me after i installed diniks people color cab, the breitling watch became erratic and then i uninstalled them and cht and sense failed to come back on despite various attempts and reboots..then i made sure i uninstalled all -clock cab, diniks cab, cht, cht editor and ...cht notifications and then reinstalled cht and voila, the sense reappeared..then installed cht editor ad clock, notifications..
i will suggest that once you set things up, try to import your cht settings in cht editor (go to chteditor/menu/import settings) to the sd card for easy exporting later on in such cases.. (i have never done a hard reset, and hope never require to do it)
Thanks for the replys but i have opted to go for the artemis v18, sucker for new things and was a good excuse...lol
Following an update from UK o2 stock ROM 1.43 to stock ROM 1.72, CHT 1.8.0 possibly caused BIG problems with my phone. If anyone can come up with another explanation I would be more than willing not to blame CHT 1.8.0.
Prior to update I'd always had CHT & CHT Editor 1.7.1 installed and never had any probs.
Following the update, and after a HR, I decided to install CHT 1.8.0 after a particularly nice looking breitling clock caught my eye which would only work with cht1.8.0 installed.
After installation I set about setting my home screen up. After an hour or so I'd got my home screen pretty much set up how I wanted it. Was I happy? Yes, Yes & Yes!! Which is why I can't explain why I went back into the editor and decided to change the lockscreen from Windows to Manila.
I came out of chteditor back to home screen and my HS was screwed. All my nicely laid out and painstakingly selected 4x4 (plus 4 extra pages) prog icons had gone as well as my very nice breitling clock, in its place was the standard flip clock, and a blank screen, that wasn't actually operating. All it showed was 3 fat zeros, which never moved. I was left with a screen that resembled a home screen after a HR, ie. nothing on it!!!!! Sresetting several times made no difference at all!
My only option was a HR, after which my first task was to install CHT & Editor 1.7.1 back on to my phone and un-install 1.8.0. Since then I've had no probs. My question: Did I do something wrong? Has this happened before to other members? I would be intrigued to find out.
Looking forward to replies.
Same here!!!
Yes I had similar problems to you, both with CHT 1.8 and later with CHT 1.8.5.
I actually reverted back to CHT 1.7.1 as it works flawlessly.
Shame though!
I really like the speed and ability to change the text colours and the lock screen wallpaper.
Anybody who knows how to do both either please post.
Rahim
I cant really explain what happened mate but i no there was some bugs in 1.8 with a white screen they have been fixed now in a new version,

Do you connect to an exchange server?
There are issues with Cookie and exchange servers enforcing encryption policies. I use the NRG ROMS and he explicitly tells you NOT to use the CHT lockscreen as it will screw the phone and to use the windows lockscreen...
SO advise would be that if your going t oupgrade to the late cookies then stick with the windows lockscreen.
Guys, can I suggest that you stop posting issues for CHT in a new thread in a different forum? Co0kieMonster will want to know about any issues, but it's not likely that he'll see them here. You should really be posting this in the CHT thread so that he's aware and can resolve any issues raised.
I know you're just discussing your own issues, but his thread really is the place to do it.

Thx for the reply.
No I don't connect to an exchange server, but now you come to mention the CHT lockscreen, that is what I did select, I thought I'd selected the manila lock but it was definitely the CHT lock. Thanks for pointing this out.
If I decide to re-install CHT 1.8.0 or the newer 1.8.5 i will bear this in mind.
Thank you, much appreciated.
hi everyone im trying to uninstall cookies 1.8.5 due to the menu on the home page not workin at all. it highlights when i press it but nothing happens. i cant edit home layout or wallpapers or chteditor itself. it does work from the windows menu but not the the menu tab located at the bottom right of the screen. i was messing with the home layout personalizing it as ive had it since it came out (1.8.5). i had the previous cookies version before and never had a problem (1.7.1, 1.8.0). ive installed a quite a few apps including notification colors and colors for toggle and switches made by dinik that come in the 1.8.5 version of cookies. dont think theres any issues there as ive had them for a while now. i was going to uninstall cookies and reinstall it as im sure it everything would go back to normal again, but i try to and it say "not all of the program could be deleted do you want to remove from programs list?" i press yes but doesnt even erase it from the installed programs list. im stuck dont want to hard reset unless i really have to any advice? also i uninstalled the toggle and switches colors cab and the icons themselves have dissapeared except for the text under it but they do work when i click on them. i have the tmous hd2 with stock rom 2.10.531. thank for any help
I think this was a bug in 1.8.5, for some ROM's , I think there is an updated version, maybe just install over the top both the CHT and the Editor ...
I am not sure of this but I think I read it somewhere if I see it I will post it ...
this is something else i reinstalled cht on top of it and now seems like cht is completely removed besides the editor? that was kind of weird! im goin to reinstall it one more time to see what happens!!
Hi parmakr,
Have you tryed closing HTC Sense before you uninstall Cookie.
Had a problem removing a previous version of Cookie but closed Sense and then went to remove applications and it removed ok. Then just restarted Sense and everything was ok.
Hope this helps.
thanks guys for your help. what i did was reinstalled over the existing cookies 1.8.5 that was already there. i restarted the phone and all of cht was completely removed, how, i have no idea! so i installed it a second time and now everything is the way it should. sounds odd but whatever works i guess. so anyone that cant uninstall cht using the remove programs feature just install cht over the existing one and it should remove it completely, atleast for me it did! install it a second time and you should have it working fine. or take "rutster" advice wich seems the more reasonable way of doing it. would of tried that first but couldnt wait for people to post their advice! thanks though as i will try that next time i have an issue like this one!
Glad
Hey

Hi somebody
I have more or less the same problem: can't remove cookies home tab 1.85 from my HTC Pro 2, 6.5 device. I've read all the posts but nothing is exact the same.
I'have installed CHT 1.85 but it didn't work at all, later I tried to install CHT 2.00, the installation was not succesful because Pro 2 tries to remove CHT 1.85 first which appeared to be impossible. (Senze of, erarse RAM fully). Looks like system got froozen while undeleting. Please help because CHT looks great and very useful. Thanks
It's time for another noobie chef question.
I've successfully cooked the GTX theme and CHTE 1.8.5.1 into my ROM, and I'm feeling very pleased with it. I'm now trying to get the lock screen to default to the one included with GTX/CHT on first boot, but am having no luck at all.
I found the registry entry that shows the CHT lock screen being active, but changing the DWORD value to 1 has no effect at all. Regardless of what I cook into the ROM, I am required to set it manually after flashing.
Can anybody point me in the right direction?
Thanks
VK
change the cht_lockscreen.dll into lockscreen.dll.
Remember what Cookiemonster said, if you will do this you will be not able to revert back to default lockscreen.
EDIT: recmod lockscreen.dll into your sys folder.

Aha, that was the missing info I needed!
In theory, I should be able to edit the registry to point to cht_lockscreen.dll by default? I'm gonna give that a whirl.
Thank you af974.

Well this is proving harder than I thought.
I've installed a Kheb's registry snapshot app in an attempt to track the changes that result in the default lock screen being changed. What a nightmare!
I've tracked loads of changes when I enable/disable it, but even so I can't get it to set default at first boot. I'm not willing to simply replace lockscreen.dll as that would take away flexibility of using the original lockscreen so a battle is ahead... Man versus HD2.
On a brighter note, I've changed to build 21681 and have got GTX + CHTE both cooked into it. I'm obviously getting somewhere!
I made it some many times but without a good result, the only way to have CHT Lockscreen by default is to rename the CHT_lockscreen.dll in Lockscreen.dll.
When you select in CHT Editor to have CHT Lockscreen you will prompt to soft reset your phone, i guess that in this phase CHT renam automaticaly the Lockscreen.dll.

I guessed the same thing, so I guess the trick is to work out what it does with the original file. If the tool does rename the file, and because it allows you to change back, it would make sense that the original lockscreen.dll is still there.
I'm going to try to track this down.
